Mine To Watch: A Small Town Stalker Romance

Rate this book
Annabelle
Moving to Aster was undoubtedly the best decision I had ever made. I landed a great job, a cozy apartment over a bookstore, and had forged genuine friendships for the first time in my life. Just when I was settling in and starting a promising relationship with the town’s most sought-after bachelor, my wayward brother resurfaced in my life again. To make matters worse, I had the feeling that someone hid in the shadows, watching me…
Troy
Keeping an eye on Annabelle had turned into my obsession. From the moment I caught sight of her through the bookstore window, I was captivated. But there was someone else lurking in the shadows, ready to tear us apart. In Aster, I was known as the cheerful jokester, always ready with a smile. Little did they know that beneath that facade lay a man determined to ensure that Annabelle remained only mine to watch.

Note: I received an ARC of Mine To Watch in exchange for an honest review.

Julia really stepped up her game with this 2nd novel in the series! It was un-put-down-able. I read it in just 2 days! 😆

This 2nd installment in this small-town romance series is Troy and Annabelle's story, and it picks up where Mine To Protect left off. At first, I wasn't sure what to think about Troy's "stalker" tendencies, but as the plot progressed and Troy's character development unfolded, his behaviors made more sense. I like that although Axel and Becca's adventure ended in the last book and they are no longer the main focus, they still play small parts in this book. There was a lot more character development with Peyton and Justin as well, which I found interesting, and it left me wanting to know more.

I really enjoyed the storyline, and Julia nailed the small-town feel yet again. The spicy scenes were well-written and didn't distract from the plot. I thought Troy was a bit more tame than Axel in some ways, but I love the fact that Julia gives the men different *preferences* that fit their personalities - no generic spicy scenes here! 🥵

I am looking forward to the next book so I can learn more about Justin - he has been the one character who really caught my attention and intrigued me with his backstory.

Well done, Julia! I am officially obsessed with your books! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Julia Eichenlaub you did it again!

I read the first one and loved it. Once I noticed “Mine to Watch” was already out I couldn’t help myself. I fell in love with the story and the characters all over again. Bonus points for setting some of the story up in Leavenworth which happens to be my favorite city in the country no matter the season!
Loved the tropes and just like the first book, there was no miscommunication between the characters and it wasn’t a slow burn. The emotional abuse Annabelle went through was horrible but the fact that she had a tribe by her side was beautiful. It wasn’t repetitive either and I’m so excited that there’s an open window for a next book? I do however need that brownie pudding recipe, or will it be on the next one? Gotta try that chili and hot chocolate one soon! Absolutely recommend this book but make sure to read the first one before!

"Mine To Watch" is an adorable and engaging read that strikes a delightful balance between humor and heart. The author masterfully addresses complex and often challenging topics while maintaining a lighthearted tone that keeps the reader entertained. You'll find yourself laughing out loud at the clever dialogue and quirky characters, all while exploring deeper themes that resonate on a personal level.

The story includes some spicy scenes that add an exciting layer of tension and romance, making it a captivating page-turner. Just when you think you have it all figured out, the ending delivers an unexpected twist that will leave you shocked. It's a charming blend of fun and emotion that makes "Mine To Watch" a must-read. Its stalker romance meets rom-com in all the best ways!

Just finished Mine to Watch by Julia Eichenlaub and I am not okay—in the best way. The connection between the main characters is absolutely electric. Their chemistry is undeniable, and the way they’re written? You can feel how deeply they see each other, flaws and all. It’s that kind of intense, all-consuming bond that just works—even when things get dark.

And let’s talk about the spice… 🔥 It’s perfectly paced and written so well. Nothing felt overdone, just that slow-burn build that delivers when it counts. I was fully invested in both the emotional pull and the heat between them.

This book is equal parts thrilling, intimate, and addictive. If you love a story with gripping tension, magnetic characters who are made for each other, and some seriously satisfying spice, you’ll eat this up.

I don’t even know where to start! I fell in love with the main characters in this book in the first of this series, Mine to Protect. Troy gave strong main character potential from his first appearance and Julia did not disappoint with him as a MMC. He is pure golden retriever on the outside but the layers…oh the layers! There is so much more simmering just below the surface. Annabelle is also so multi dimensional. Their story is unique but fits so well in the world Julia has built! I am struggling not to spoil this book because I loved it so much. Read it…read the first one but then read this one. Cannot stress how much I recommend this book.

The side characters....

I laughed out loud so much at the banter between everybody! There were some things that Annabelle did that made no sense, but I liked the chemistry she & Troy had. While I did enjoy the side characters, it got to a point where they just felt intrusive. Like after the proposal & the wanted, no expected, to be allowed to stay with them. They just got engaged! Give them some privacy. The love fest did get to be too much sometimes, so I would have to walk away for a couple of days. That was a me issue though. But overall I liked it & again, laughed out loud so much!

I loved this book! I’m typically a slow reader but finished this book in a week.
The story has the perfect balance of humor, spice, character development and thrills! I was laughing out loud while reading it and was also so inspired by Annabelle’s growth throughout the book. Troy is not your typical golden retriever man (imo) he also has a protective possessive side to him which keeps things interesting ;)
I CANNOT wait for more from Julia! I NEED to read about Peyton and Justin. ANNNDDD maybe a lil something with Griff?

Im bias because I fell in love with the MMC Troy in Mine to Protect when he was just a side character, but as the MMC in this book he did not disappoint. Im not into spoilers but I was literally kicking my feet half the time. Troy as an adorable stalker watching the woman he's obsessing over? Yes please! This book is easily one of my favorites. I own it on Kindle and the paperback is gorgeous on my shelf. Can't wait for the rest of the series

I was waiting for this book!!! Troy stole my heart in MTP and he now keeps permanent residence in my heart after finishing this book. I have nothing but good things to say about my little stalking golden retriever. I won't spoil anything, but this small town romance is perfect and has the holiday vibe that I love mixed with a bit of mystery, I'm hooked! Can't wait for book 3!
