FROM BACHELOR TO FATHER TO…HUSBAND?

Rancher Braden Parker has just returned to Tenacity with a five-year-old daughter he didn’t know existed, and he’s terrified. After all, he’d spent years away from the End of the Road Ranch, avoiding his own curmudgeonly father! Instant fatherhood was not on his bingo card. Neither was meeting single mom Maggie Cooper. Maggie is trying to adjust to civilian life back in quiet little Tenacity after working overseas. She feels for Braden and Delilah, but she has to make her son, Cody, her first priority. It will take a huge leap of faith for the two wary parents to find their way to each other—and to the perfect blended family that could make them all complete…

The Maverick’s Forever Home by Sasha Summers
Montana Mavericks: Behind Closed Doors series #2. Multi-author Harlequin, Category: Life & Love. Can be read as a stand-alone.
Single mother Maggie Cooper is home recovering from a serious illness from her international job helping women and children in underserved countries. While she’s home, she wants to make her nine-year-old son Cody her priority. He’s not making it easy but her twin brother and family are helping where they can.
Five-year-old Delilah Parker decides she and Cody will be best friends since they have the same birthday. Rancher Braden Parker can’t fault his daughter for befriending Cody and his gorgeous mother Maggie. He wouldn’t mind spending time with them. Being a single parent is new to Braden and maybe Maggie can make it a little easier.

Sweet, heartbreaking, and ultimately joyous, this romance goes from troubled, to adorable, gut wrenching, to hopeful.
The children are precious and the cowboy is steadfast and swooney.
Loved the tree whispers. Autumn is my favorite season for the sound the trees make (in the Midwest) and the description was perfect.

A story not to miss.

"The Maverick's Forever Home" by Sasha Summers is book two in the "Montana Mavericks: Behind Closed Doors" series. This was such a cute read, and I absolutely loved all of the characters. Maggie and Braden are both single parents, and Braden leans on Maggie to help give him tips on raising a child. Braden recently found out that he has a 5 year old daughter, Delilah. Maggie is back home after she got really sick and is spending time with her son, Cody. Cody is a nine year old who wants his mom to choose him over traveling for work. There were so many scenes that made me smile, but I will name a couple of my favorites. I liked it when Maggie met Braden at the school and asked if she was blushing. I also liked when Braden called, and Maggie was making pudding for Cody. I loved how both of Braden and Maggie's families were involved in helping them both with their children. Overall, I definitely recommend giving this book a read.

I received an Author's Copy of The Maverick's Forever Home which releases in August. This is my honest review.

It was obvious from the start that this book was going to center around the children of the main characters, and I love it when Sasha writes children!!

Maggie has her son Cody and it is obvious from the very start that they care about one another, but for reason's due to Maggie's job and a health issue from said job, their relationship is a tad strained.

Braden has his daughter Delilah, and we learn that she was a bit of a surprise and he was all but thrown into the parenting thing.

Maggie and Braden hit it off immediately, but both are hesitant to do anything that detracts from the relationship from their children. Thus, the children become the excuse for them to hang out. Don't feel bad for the children and think they are in any way being used, I promise they are happy at this turn of events.

The kids steal the spotlight and the only thing more I'd request from this book is POVs for the children.

I adored this book and watching Maggie and Braden along with Cody and Delilah get the families they deserve!

The Maverick's Forever Home hit all the right notes for me. I absolutely love the way Sasha Summers writes families, especially the kids! She gives them real voices and personalities without ever making them feel too grown up or too cutesy. Braden’s journey into fatherhood was both heartwarming and messy, and watching him learn to connect with Delilah felt so genuine. Maggie was just as layered, and I appreciated how her own struggles as a single mom were handled with care. The slow-building connection between Braden and Maggie felt earned, and the way their families blended together gave me all the warm, hopeful feelings. This book is a reminder tha love has a funny way of showing up exactly when you need it.
