Unholy Night by Violent Kingsley was completely unhinged and far spicier & darker than I could have anticipated, even in what’s described as a horror Christmas novella. It took me by surprise and kept me hooked until the last page.

One of my favorite elements of the story was that our FMC was an unreliable narrator, one of my favorite tropes that was executed skillfully here. The blend of fear, horror, and desire makes for a mind-bending and immersive read.

Kingsley’s prose is a standout - beautifully descriptive, vivid, and at times almost poetic. Lines like:

going into Unholy Night, i knew it was going to be dark especially after reading the TWs. but when i finished this book, let me tell u my jaw DROPPED bc i wasn’t expecting a lot of what happened. this is a short novella that doesn’t take long to read at all! i literally messaged her & told her it’d take me a day or two, just to message her again & be like “jk i finished” 😂😂 anyways this is a fast paced, horror erotica about the dark santa. definitely gave me the horror vibes from the beginning which i absolutely love so much! this was the first book i read by Kingsley & let me tell u it won’t be my last. i loved her writing style, i loved the vibes, i loved the unhingedness i got. all in all it was seriously just such a perfect read

This is the first book of Violet's that I have read, and it won't be my last. This is definitely one of those books you don't want to give away any spoilers. I was pulled in from the first chapter and couldn't wait to see how it was going to end.

What the unholy plot twist? This book was a fast paced read filled with suspense, smex, and blood/gore. The premise of the plot pulled the readers in, three friends in an isolated cabin over winter and an urban legend about an evil Santa. It has the components for a dark romance. But this book goes a step further and ends with a twist that you won’t see coming.

This was a quick read that i saw in the Kindle Store for free and wanted to try! I really liked the plot of this story and wished it was longer so that there would’ve been more! I loved Lena’s character and i’m still not quite 100% sure what to believe after finishing! Without spoilers, there was certainly a mindf*ck moment towards the end! 🎄🩸🪓

This novella was just mindblowing. From the very first page it jumped off the train and hit the ground running. It was sinfully dark and spicy in all the best ways, but that major twist at the end! That is right up there with an M. Night Shymalan kind of twist! I loved it!.
