This book is about a black female being chained a treated like a sex slave and dog by a white man and disguised as dark romance. Nope. No thank you. As a black female this book was derogatory, degrading and quite frankly racist. With an ignorance to all of the above that just made it worse

This collection is dark, traumatic, unhinged, but so entertaining, unique and spicy a.f!
It's a dark paranormal world in an academia setting, but like nothing you've ever read.
The shifter students are taught how to please their vampire masters, and the vampire students are taught how to make their pets obey and submit.
On top of the heavy spice, there's rebellions brewing, pack dynamics, hidden identities, and a blossoming forbidden romance.
Go read this duet and bonus novella.
🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
🚩Trigger warning.

✨ Collared by the vampire prince

Dark and spicy Paranormal Romance, with a sassy, bold and vengeful FMC and ruthless monster MMC who's secretly sweet and caring.
This has a lot going on, a secret rebellion brewing, the ongoing subjugation of wolf shifters by their vampire masters, enemy to lover romance, kinky paranormal college, wolf pack dynamics, BDSM, royal vampire politics, and hidden identities. And on top of that a twisted romance between a vampire prince and wolf shifter with a Dom/sub dynamic and extreme punishments including custom jewellery.
It's a very entertaining plot with lots of twists and spice and a dark cliffhanger.

✨ Groomed by the vampire prince

This is the hot and steamy conclusion to the spicy paranormal dark romance Duology, and it does not hold back.
Great pacing, lots of super steamy and kinky content, twists and turns in the story, and some seriously dark and depraved moments you won't see coming.
There's a good balance between the hurt and comfort, darkness and happiness, and some really tragic moments, traumatic scenes and heart wrenching emotions.
You get to learn more about Kira and Nat's tragic pasts, and how plans were set in motion years ago leading up to this climatic revolution.
Buckle up for a spicy emotional journey in this kinky academy for vampire masters and wolf slaves, and if Nat and Kira can find their happiness through the trauma they must endure.

✨ Plugged at the gates

A spicy short story that can be read as a standalone, but links in to the duology as a bonus scene where Kira gets punished for her disobedient attitude and refusal to be tamed.
Nathaniel pushes the boundaries with a naughty public display to help correct his Pet's poor behaviour at the entrance to the Academy.

I don’t know where to begin and where to end this review. I was unable to add a rating. If you’ve read this book, you will understand.

Parts of this journey were so traumatizing to the characters, I feel traumatized myself. And just when you think it won’t get worse, that it couldn’t possibly get any worse… It does. I’m happy the main male character and the female main character get to be together in the end. But their journey to get there and all of the between is beyond wild. I honestly don’t know anyone I would recommend this book to. Read at your own discretion.

There is a reason why it took me a month to finish it. I had to keep putting it down and taking a break. Happy reading?

This was a very unique book, and what a cliff hanger. If you love paranormal books and like to see paranormal intermix and see the seedy side of when one paranormal tries to rule all, then this book is for you.

Groomed by the Vampire is about how Kira runs from Nathaniel and wants to find a way to live without him. Nathaniel will never let her go. She is his and he will find her no matter how long it takes.

Well, I'm a little conflicted about this novel duet. Overall, it was a very good work for a debut. However, there are quite a few points that had potential for improvement.

I'd say I'd assign 4 stars to book 1 and 3 stars to book 2 which totals in a good 3.5 stars (rounded up to 4 stars).

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

There are quite a few different kinks in the story which might not all have been my cup of tea. However, that does not affect my rating as that is simply a personal preference.

I liked that we got to read the POV of the FMC and the MMC which gave emotional depth to both characters. The writing style was also very pleasant. The world building was unique and the story concept was very interesting. There was also one point in the story which really suprised me as I didn't see it coming.

What in my opinion could have been improved are the following points:

- Too many smut scenes. I like smexy scenes as much as the next person but the book was basically one steamy scene after the other with little bits of pieces of plot between them. It was just too much for me, especially since the whole plan the FMC and the MMC pursued was also based on sex.

- The side characters were rather flat. They basically felt just like props to enable the main characters for most of the time. For example there are two female wolf shifters which are said to be related to the FMC. However, the FMC does not exchange one sentence with them even though you would think she would be interested in getting to know her relatives she never got to know, but she basically ignored them due to her jealousy.

- The main characters have no "life" outside of the story plot. For example we read that the FMC likes to read and used to paint, but it's only descriptive. We don't really get to know what the main characters like or dislike etc. outside from their carnal preferences. I also felt that the FMC was missing more background related to her motivation towards "saving the world". We read she was groomed, but I can't remember a key event that would trigger her to basically sacrifice her own happiness for the wellbeing of everyone else. I also don't see what prepared the FMC to lead a whole empire at the age of 19.

- Victoria character didn't really work out for me. The different aspects we learn about her don't add up to me. I cannot explain further with spoiling but basically the psychology of her didn't make sense to me.

- In my opinion there are a few plot holes throughout the story. For example: We never get to know how the MMC knows about the FMC's magic abilities. It is also written that her magic abilities should return - but how did she lose them in the first place? And why would she even have those abilities? I don't see how her heritage would lead to that exactly as she has no witch relations. Moreover, the reason why the MMC needs to get married to Gloria was apparently so that the magical protection of the evil king would disappear which would only happen after the coronation of the MMC. Only then the evil king could be killed by the FMC. However, in the end the evil king was killed without the MMC's coronation happening. So why didn't they just kill the king at an earlier opportunity if it had always been possible to kill him while using the element of surprise? Just to name a few…

- The master plan of the main characters didn't make sense and was too extreme, in my opinion. Seriously the plan in place to solve the whole problem was basically what normal people would use as a last resort if plan a, b and c didn't work out. Our main characters, however, are diving right into the worst case scenario which not only will definitely leave them traumatised but is also quite risky… Furthermore, the FMC was basically degraded in front of everybody. How would you expect for those people to respect and acknowledge her as a sovereign after they saw her like that??? And why did it have to be the FMC who killed the king? Couldn't anyone else have done it under the right circumstances.

- The emotions and reactions of the characters (mainly the FMC) were not always plausible to me. E.g. when the FMC learns about the grooming she is hurt and angry with the people involved. However, she basically forgives the MMC super fast while still being angry with the other people involved. Also: How can she just trust the MMC after what she came to know. I know she got to read his thoughts and emotions but I think any normal person would still be suspicious if there was not a trick or something. Especially since he didn't even explained the part she was running away from him for in the first place. He was basically apologizing for other stuff but not the issue that first set her off. And she just forgave being used as a tool from the very beginning. Basically her whole life was kind of a lie and she was being manipulated for the MMC's goal since she was a little child… I doubt anyone could forgive that so easily.

- The end of the book was mainly descriptive. That felt quite unbalanced seeing how much time was spent on the previous part of the story. Considering that both main characters are extremely traumatised you would think we would read more about there approach to healing and reconnecting but we basically skipped most of that. It also feels unrealistic that the FMC would not bear any grudge towards the MMC for what happened - even if it would be unfair towards him but human emotions are not "fair" and don't even make sense most of the time.

- FMC's magic was too convenient. I know the author wrote it was only "suggestive" but in the end it felt like brain washing. And of course she would get her magic powers climaxing at the most dramatic and convenient time. Also the scene were she "convinced" the wolves of the Poplarin pack felt very lacking. A little persuasion and everyone just follows her like sheep… Until the big dramatic turnaround everything just happens sooo easily… No struggle whatsover with the grand plan on that front which seems unrealistic.

Please don't get me wrong: I still enjoyed the story! I just personally cannot completely enjoy a story when things don't make sense to me. Nonetheless the idea behind the story and the writing were creative and well done. I definitely will read more stories of the author if the opportunity arises as Darcy Fayton has obviously a lot of potential. The story was already better than a lot of others I read from authors with more books to their name. People who like a dark and steamy story set in a fantasy world will surely enjoy "Collared and Groomed by the Vampire Prince".

Book - 1

Kira, the MFC, is a werewolf in a society cruelly run by a vampire king named Hennrik. Hennrik has taken control by raiding the werewolf king's keep, eliminating almost everyone, including most of the royal family. He has established the rule that werewolves and vampires can not marry, that werewolves are only for feeding and to be sexual pets. He further establishes an Academy to teach vampire youths how to be masters (along with the other usual subjects) and werewolves to be pets.

Kira has been successfully hidden away and allowed to pass as human. This all changes in an instant, and she is now on the radar of Nathaniel, the MMC, son of King Hennrik. This book is the story of how he captures her and takes her to the academy to start her pet training. Little does he know, Kira has an agenda of her own ... taking back the werewolf throne.

As Kira begins her training, Nathaniel is all too happy to be the one to train her. The scenes between Kira and Nathaniel are blistering hot. This is a five alarm 🌶 book, mostly BDSM in nature.

At the beginning of this book, you will despise Nathaniel. His methods of getting compliance are harsh and leave Kira feeling very humiliated and powerless. I wasn't sure at first if the author could redeem this character enough for me to like him. Rest assured, she does. In the end, of course, we are left with an enormous cliffhanger. Who is she really being trained to serve? How will she rise through the werewolf ranks enough to get what she wants? What are all the secrets Nathaniel is hiding?

Please read Ms. Fayton's trigger warning list. This book does include noncon, breath play, among others.

Book - 2

We pick up from the cliffhanger at the end of Part 1 of this Duology (Plug and Claim) in this book. This book is not a stand-alone and it is highly recommended that you read book 1 first.

Kira, the MFC, is reacting to the news that she will be Hennrik's pet, not Nathaniel's. She is horrified and runs to the portal in Nathaniel's room to escape. She runs to her foster parents and finds that they know about Nathaniel, about the fact that she is promised to Hennrik, and that they have been in league with Nathaniel all along. Nathaniel found the last two living cubs from her litter and smuggled them out to hand them over to her foster parents (also werewolves) to raise. She is also informed that she should have nine wolves instead of the two she has, but the other seven were murdered during the Vampire "Revolution".

Kira must face the fact that she feels betrayed by both her foster parents and Nathaniel and decide if she is going to continue on with her own revolution while dealing with the revelation that her origins are even more complicated than she knew. To pull off this revolution, she must embrace all of her natures and learn to use the magic that she was born with. She must take over the largest pack at the school, influence the packs to become more cohesive and give herself willingly to the one being in this world that she most detests, King Hennrik, in order to stage the coup.

You will cry with Kira as she comes to terms with betrayals, smile when Nathaniel and Kira truly have a primal romantic interlude, laugh, and sob again before the book is finished. But through it all, you will love Kira and Nathaniel's story.

The spice in this book is 5 chillis. It is HOT. The BDSM is very realistic, especially the pet training aspects and the primal play. The primal scene will knock your socks off.

One of the wonderful things about Darcy Fayton's writing is her ability to mix spicy smut scenes into a genuinely unique fantasy world with witches, vampires, and werewolves, while developing the characters in a meaningful way. As you read you fall into the story. And, if you are anything like me, you become friends with the MFC and MMC and come to loath the villain and hope for his just and deserved end. Darcy simply doesn't disappoint. This is the culmination of the duology and it's done is a beautiful and engaging way.

I cannot recommend this duology enough

I have many, many thoughts regarding this duet.

The first installment was amazing. The cat-and-mouse dynamic between Kira and Nathaniel was fun to read, and the ending had a twist that completely changed the way I expected the story to unfold. However, I do think this book was a little insta-lovey. The two are immediately attracted to each other, though this is more applicable to Nathaniel, and the palpable tension between them is immediate.

Many chapters in the second installment were extremely dark and uncomfortable to read (which surprised me because I’m usually unfazed reading dark romances). There was a lot of degrading and humiliation that had me questioning if this was still a romance because the number of times he hurt her was a little concerning. Worse, Kira’s refusal to comply, which was very much present in the first book, basically evaporated in the second — it’s giving Stockholm Syndrome. These cruel acts quickly became repetitive and dragged out the story far longer than necessary. Still, the ending was very satisfying to read, and I’m glad they got their happily ever after.

Overall, there were two things about this that I couldn’t get over. First, the fact that Nathaniel is almost eleven years Kira’s senior. He knew her since she was young , and it gave the word “groom” another meaning.

“Most wolves had brown skin, but Kira’s was a shade darker […].”

Yeah, this made the book a little weird since the vampires are pale creatures who dominate and train the wolves to be their obedient sex slaves (writing this sentence made me uncomfortable, ew). Prince Nathaniel is a white blonde who essentially forces Kira, a black woman, to submit to him like a dog and subjects her to a series of sexual activities with the intent to “groom” her to be the perfect slut (EW EW EW). Frankly, this, paired with the constant use of the name “pet”, felt a bit inappropriate and borderline racist given the history of black slavery. Usually, I wouldn’t point this out, but since the wolf species were described as having darker skin, it felt eerily similar to real-world events.

In summary, I loved the first book — not so much the second. The plot was very intriguing, but I slowly lost interest because the second book was dragged out.

Final rating: 2.5 stars.
(originally 3 stars, but upon reflection, I decided to move it down to 2.5)

After reading Plug & Claim (thank you for the change of title, by the way, I really didn't like the original) and giving it a five-star rating, you can imagine how excited I was to see this omnibus with both parts of Kira and Nathaniel’s story. Happy to reread the first instalment, I dived right into the continuing saga and had to double check that I was reading the right book! Though the second part picks up where the first left off, it’s soon clear that some things have changed. If degradation and humiliation were the name of the game the first time around, Nathaniel turns up the volume and things were a lot more uncomfortable for me at times (and I don’t even have any triggers!) But I knew what I was getting myself into. Then suddenly we’re supposed to believe Kira and Nathaniel are in love? Really? So, how do you explain the fact that he continues to be so cruel and hurt her. And where has the feisty Kira that refused to submit gone? Has Nathaniel finally broken her so that she enjoys this humiliation? I could have cried. On the plus side, I did enjoy getting more of the overall backstory and although you never quite knew where this story was heading with all the twists and turns, it did keep you on your toes. While it’s true that they both made sacrifices along the way, I certainly felt that Kira got the short end of the stick. With traumatic scenes and heart wrenching emotions, it was hard to reach that elusive HEA. Look, I’m not denying that Darcy is a great writer, but this just pushed things a tad too far. It will definitely not put me off reading any other stories by this author, but I hope they don’t leave me as wrung out as this one (or do I?)

If you're wanting to read this book, I highly suggest checking out the trigger warnings on the authors website, as this vampire X wolf shifter romance is definitely on the darker side with a lot of taboo themes being explored.

It's a very spicy enemies to lovers, dark romantasy, set in an 18+ castle academy attended by both wolf shifters and vampires. I'm convinced far more smex and feeding goes on than learning in those halls.

At first I thought I was going to root for Kira, the wolf shifter, I really liked her initial rebellious side, but it was quickly broken down by the vampire, Nathaniel. Her constantly going back and forth between fight and submit just left me pitying her.

I have no love for Nathaniel. Usually I quietly crush on vampires, but his actions just left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Even when I thought possibly he had some redeeming aspects peeking through, he'd go and annoy me again with something he'd do or say to Kira. I get that this is an enemies to lovers story, but there were so many times I wanted to scream at Kira "you can do so much better than him!"

I'm grateful the author put a warning towards the end of the book for content in a few of the last chapters. I don't tend to get triggered, but I was left feeling very uncomfortable with what Kira had to endure.

While I don't regret reading this duet, I'm kinda glad it's over now (mostly for Kira's sake).

OMG a riveting read. These books take para romance down a dark, at times brutal and seriously spicy, think Habanero Hot, route. There are warnings about the content which is good as it might not be to everyone's taste.

An academy for vampires and wolf shifters set in a castle, perfect. The vampires are the ruling class with the wolves subservient and often treated as pets, To me it had a flavour of Russia just before the revolution but with modern touches.

I was quickly pulled into the dynamic between Kiri, FMC, and Nathaniel, MMC. I love a tale told in duet as it gives more depth and helps you relate to both leads and I just couldn’t help but love their story. Even though at times I felt like I shouldn’t like Nathaniel, I did.

Really well drawn characters. Much intrigue, with twists and turns I just didn’t see coming.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Thoroughly enjoyable and I would definitely recommend. I haven’t read Darcy Fayton before but will be reading more now. There are two prequel books also told in duet which are on my list.

"Collared and Groomed by the Vampire Prince" by Darcy Fayton presents an intriguing blend of romance and supernatural elements, centered around the dynamic between Prince Nathaniel and Kirabelle (Kira). The relationship unfolds like a classic cat-and-mouse game, filled with tension and emotional depth as both characters grapple with their desires and personal growth.

The chemistry between Nathaniel and Kira is palpable, and their journey toward understanding each other's worth adds a layer of complexity to the plot. Readers will appreciate the increased intensity of the spice scenes, which appear to have escalated compared to Fayton's previous works, offering a more vivid exploration of their connection.

However, while the romance and intimate moments are engaging, some readers may find themselves yearning for a more developed plot. The foundation is solid, but additional narrative elements could have enriched the story further, providing a more balanced experience. Overall, the book is a captivating read for fans of the genre, but it leaves room for deeper exploration of its themes. I received and advanced review copy, and am leaving this voluntarily

Box set of two excellent books

I'd definitely recommend this set to anyone who enjoyed the Susie & Arken duet ("Bedded by the Headmaster" & "Shared by the Headmaster") as I believe that the two "Vampire Prince" books are superior to the "Headmaster" ones.

"Collared..." is excellent: starting from the capture of Kira, through the initial acceptance into the academy, developing both main characters (Kira, Nathaniel) very nicely, and integrating with the previous Volmasque Academy books & characters.

The beauty of a box set is that the cliffhanger ending of book 1 can be resolved almost instantly!

"Groomed..." follows on as a very good book 2. Kira & Nathaniel grow in a consistent manner, again fitting into the previous outline from the "Headmaster" books, but with their own unique elements.

(FWIW, the box set includes the extra chapter of "Groomed" separately available as the "Plugged at the Gates ..." "steamy bonus download".)

Excellent second part to the story.

PS: Definitely recommend getting the combined version!

I just finished this book this morning. It was quite the interesting read. With the exception of one chapter I would rate it as a"medium" dark read. It is not a simple story of Vampire supremacy over the Wolves. A rebellion is looming - if Kira can complete her plan. But she does not expect to meet Nathanial - the Crown Prince. He has his own agenda. What these two very strong individuals do not expect, is the attraction to each other. It becomes a battle to give in to or ignore this attraction which must take the back seat to what must be done. It is a dark, read with so many twists and turns to it. There is one extremely dark chapter, but the author warns the reader of what to expect and then gives them the opportunity to continue reading or skip the chapter in question and pick up the story again. She does this quite flawlessly. Very well done. It was an enjoyable read if you like this genre. I had never read anything by this author before this book, but will definitely go back and read the other duet that has the story of two supporting characters in this read.

When I read the opening credits to the book, I was so excited for what was to come. However, my excitement started to slip away with certain chapters. If you can look past the overuse of the word "pet," then the books have a decent plot with a decent outcome. However, it wasn't just the excessive use of "pet" that bothered me. It felt like the main character, Kira, had a severe case of Stockholm syndrome. Not only that, but when the author says groomed, she means from childhood, which I found a little weird. There were some really fantastic parts to this omnibus, but some parts felt rushed. And OH MY GOD at the amount of rear-ended play! Maybe it's because that's not my cup of tea, but I also found that to be ridiculously too much. Finally, a lot of the story was dragged out longer than it should have. Some thoughts and actions were beat to death and I found myself thinking, "I get it, let's move on." Overall, wonderful idea, but I'm afraid somewhat poor execution.

I think this had great potential. But it was given a voice as if a prepubescent boy wrote it. The female was whiney and a brat for the sake of just being a brat. And not the good kind of brat either, an annoying, defiant but at the wrong times defiant.

The whole SA scene played out did not enhance the characters or further the plot of the book in any way shape or form, contrary to the note by the author.

The characters needed more depth, more realism to them. They were only on one singular plane. The "bad guys" were laughable at best and were your stereotypical beefy bad dudes with little to no brain cells.

Everything was forced from the attraction, to the chemistry, to the antagonists, even the spicey scenes were not written in a flowing manner. They were choppy and juvenile but pretending to be dark and broody.

I think a few more run through with the editor would've done a lot of good.

This was an amazing story! I would highly recommend everyone to read the trigger warnings before reading it. It did get very intense in book 3. It got very emotional during certain points. You go through a wide range of emotions as you read the story.

There was a lot of BDSM with different types of play, vampires, wolves and witches oh my.

The characters were well developed and the plot stayed on track but also kept you guessing. I loved the fact that you got a really good sense of who everyone was but also got to watch them grow and develop.

It at its core is a love story.

I loved the story and look forward to reading more by this author. She kept my attention and I had a hard time putting the books down! I will be rereading this story again.

I would love to see more from her continuing other characters in the story to grow into their own stories.

There are definitely some plot holes in the world building that were never explained, which led to some character actions that didn't seem to match their personalities. Otherwise, I really enjoyed this contained duology, which is a dark romance with lots of trigger warnings (e.g. rape, dubcon, degradation, dom/sub, etc.), so double check those before starting. If you're looking for a dark romance set in a world of magic, vampires, and werewolves where the romance takes the form of BDSM with lots of on page spicy scenes that aren't just gratuitous but build the main characters' relationship and explored some of the world's societal structure. I'm intrigued to see where the author plans to go in the following story that continues in a world in the midst of lots of change. I will also probably check out the preceding duology.

So this is my first book, or rather, series from Darcy. It packed quite a bit of steam and although there were some parts that completely made me blush, I enjoyed the overall feel of the book!

I was so aggravated by Nathaniel at the start but the character development made so much sense and I fell for him towards the end. The story was nicely done, it had a somewhat new concept that I quite liked getting into. Reminded me a bit of the Underworld saga, which I thoroughly enjoyed! So that's a good thing to be compared to.

It was really nice that the book came as a set so the continuity is right there without any fuss. While everything is still fresh in our minds, we get right on to the good stuff.

Two thumbs up! Great read!

Hot, spicy and a little bit disturbing.

Kira has grown up with a foster family after her family was killed. She doesn't know anything about her real family. She is 19 when she's taken away to the academy to be 'trained' to be a 'pet' for vampires.

The dynamic is extremely strange. Vampires ruled, wolves were seen as their pets and they could do what they wanted with them.

Nathaniel is a vampire who has followed Kira for years. He takes her to the academy and claims her as his which causes a lot of arguments and fights.

Lots of twists and turns in this book and the spicy scenes are spicy and dark.

Please please please read the trigger warning for this. It's imperative that you do, because Henrikk is Henrikk and that's honestly all the warning you should need if you read Henrikk's stroy as well as Susie and Arken. But this is about Kira and Nathaniel trying to save the world as well as each other. Kira has an identity shock. Nathaniel is just trying to overthrow his dad but keeping in his status. It so much spice going on too but its mostly Kira underestimating just how despicable and inhumane Henrikk truly is.

A Pet for the Master

Wolf shifter Kira is captured by the vampire prince Nathaniel to be trained as a pet for a master. This two-part story and bonus will have you emotionally tangled as well as invested in the outcome. Twists and turns will have you shocked and angry all at the same time but still enthralled with the read. While there are some parts that are a bit uncomfortable, the overall vibe of this story was interesting and dark in so many ways. It was quite entertaining.

I thoroughly enjoyed this duet, Kira and Nat were brilliantly written, the spice was amazing and the plot was fantastic. I loved the school type setting and the undercurrents between the different species (vampires and wolves). What the FMC and MMC overcame together was heart wrenching but it proved the strength of their relationship. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Please check the content warning before you read and if they’re good for you then I’d highly recommend

this box set was like no other! I loved the story so much. it is very engaging has great spice and great story. defiantly want to check your trigger warnings for sure! the dynamic between the MFC and Kira is intense for sure. Kira is a werewolf and Prince Nathaniel who is a vampire two species that just don't connect but these two characters have once crazy chemistry. Their journey with one another is very complex for sure.

I love that there are so many different types of play like BDSM and vampires, witches and of course werewolves. a wide variety! I defiantly recommend reading these books!

Oh my! This was a really good book set! If you like spice and dark romance, with different types of twist and turns, this is for you! I devoured this and I couldn’t be more happy than to say I ate this shit up!

This world you are taken to will give you the best view of such unique worlds. You will get so much spice that you’ll be satisfied for a day of reading. I mean, who doesn’t like a smutty vampire! Yes, please. Any day.

Loved it all.

There may be some triggering points to some that not everyone will like.

I will say that this was not my cup of tea as far as the spice went. I received a copy of this duet as an ARC reader. The storyline was compelling and I genuinely was interested in how the story was going to go but the spice was mostly master/pet, which I didn’t realize until I read this book that it’s just not my thing. I did think the story was well written though and the author kept you on your toes. I think this is definitely great for someone who likes that kind of thing. I didn’t think I had any triggers, but I would definitely say read the trigger page before reading this book

I just finished Collared and Groomed by the Vampire Prince and... whew. I need a moment.
Enemies-to-lovers? ✔️
Vampires + wolf shifters? ✔️
Tension so thick you could cut it with a dagger? ✔️ ✔️
Kira is the kind of heroine I root for—fiery, fierce, and impossible to break. And Nathaniel? The cold, commanding Vampire Prince who thinks he can tame her? The power plays, the biting banter , and the slow-burn tension had me absolutely hooked.

If you're into dark fantasy romance with court intrigue, forbidden longing, and major morally grey energy, this duet will ruin you.

Started this book, but as soon as I read that all the werewolves have dark brown skin and the FMC is a shade darker, while the vampire mmc is white. No thanks. A black sex slave (less than human) to a white male, and masquerading as a dark romance.

In the first three chapters, literally says the wolves are treated like dogs (drink out of water bowl, collared and gagged so they can’t speak).

I get master/slave kink between consenting adults but this is not it.

This was my first time reading this author and it will not be the last. Deliciously dark, sizzling hot and impossible to resist, Kira and Nathaniel's story was a decadent temptation that I didn't know I was craving. I quickly found myself captivated and could not consume the words and pages fast enough to feed my need. Utterly breathtaking!

This book was just not for me. It was DNF for me, sadly. I really tired to finish this book. It seemed to have a good plot . I love how the book started. The MFC personality was perfect in the beginning. Very strong-willed and determined, but as it continues, her whole demeanor/personality changes and she just let's the MMC do whatever to her sexually, there was no fight or resistance from her, which totally was not for me as it didn't help build their relationship or progress the book. I love how the MMC is portrayed very dominant an sensitive at the same time. It got hard for me to see the plot threw all the smut.. which is not a problem I love smut. It was just constant and seemed to have no point. The way it was wrote was very out of characterfor the MMC and no direction or relivence to the plot .. just him making her do rough shit constantly. Its like the book can't progress. the MMC and MFC just do the same thing over an over again. Got old really fast.
I'm rating it 2 stars as it's not a bad book it just was not for me.

Collared & Groomed by the Vampire Prince was enjoyable for me. The relationship of Kira and Prince Nathaniel is basically cat and mouse mixed with tension as both characters deal with their desires for each other and personal growth. Their chemistry is just so intense. There's little spice in here and I'm glad that I picked this up to read.
