Grey Code Liaison: A Shadow Defense Novella (Shadow Defense Security, #0.5), my first read from author Mavery Ellscott. “I received a Kindle copy of this book back in December of 2023 and promptly lost track of it. Now I'm finally getting around to reading it since I discovered I own 4 books in this series and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. Since the title says it's book 1 of a series I look forward to reading more from this author with Shadowed Obsession high on my TBR list. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018.

Intriguing

This prequel is to set the stage for the Shadow Defense Security series by Mavery Ellscott. The story starts with action straight away. You are introduced to the characters of Cade and Maddison and their world of secrets, lies, espionage and undercover operations. Mavery’s writing style captured my interest and imagination on page one. I’m eager to read this series and see where the story goes.

Cade and Maddison worked for difference intelligence agencies and when Maddison asked for help on a mission she called Cade. Both were attracted to each other and thus might have been a good working relationship became a liability. Could it be unraveled? An interesting read and not easy to put down.
