Missing Persons Detective Everleigh Becket and her P.I. partner Isaac Stern have built a reputation as an elite team, able to solve the coldest cases. However, when A.D.A. Marie Schurr asks for their help in tracking down a missing witness, Everleigh isn’t sure she wants to get into the business of forcing a terrified woman to testify against a known killer.

Madison Wheeler thought she’d met the man of her dreams, but when a business deal ends in murder, Madison is the only one left who can get justice for the dead man. That is if Everleigh and Isaac can find her.

Do they have another Christmas miracle in them? Or is this one time when Everleigh would be happy not to solve the case?

Everleigh Beckett is sooo interesting. She is such an unusual heroine. This woman is not perfect, she's a bit of a prude. She can be difficult. She is my kind of gal.
Everleigh's relationship with Private Detective Issac Stern has come full circle. For sake of a spoiler alert I will say no more than that. But in many instances, she and Issac are a classic case of oil and water - something akin to the days of 80's rom com 'Cheers' and the relationship of erudite cocktail waitress Diane and retired baseball player and meathead Sam. We laugh at them, we cringe for them, we pull for them. All from the edge of our seats as Issac and Everleigh attempt to change the sorrow of a lonely Christmas to one of reunion and happiness.
Chasing Courage: A Christmas Mystery, Book 4 gives us a fresh and different case for Everleigh and Issac to pursue. In this installment, Book 4 in the 'A Christmas Mystery' series, the search is for the one witness who can bring closure and justice to a long overdue outrage.
One of my favorite aspects of reading, working with, and recording for M.L. Hamilton is her refusal to rest on her laurels with a formula for her mysteries and the cases to be solved. We get a brand new look at the team of Beckett and Stern every time and Chasing Courage: A Christmas Mystery, Book 4 is no exception.
Finding romance to read at holiday time is never difficult - but a good mystery that also provides romantic tension? Come on! That's a needle in a haystack! But not with these taut and enticing missing persons cases that are the hallmark of the 'A Christmas Mystery' series by M.L. Hamilton. And as reviews will attest, you can start in any order - with Chasing Courage: A Christmas Mystery, Book 4 . Or begin at the beginning with Seeking Solace , Finding Freedom , or Trading Time. 'We need a little Christmas right this very minute'!

This latest addition to the Christmas Mystery series is a delight from start to finish. M.L. Hamilton continues to weave a compelling narrative that balances intrigue with heartfelt moments. The mystery Everleigh and Isaac tackle is both clever and satisfying, keeping me engaged until the very end.

What truly stands out is the ongoing development of the characters. Their relationships feel
authentic and layered, adding emotional depth to the story. Each interaction builds on previous books, making the series feel like a living, breathing world that I can’t wait to revisit.

Kelley Hazen’s narration is, as always, exceptional. Her ability to bring each character to life with distinct voices and emotional nuance elevates the entire experience. This audiobook is a perfect blend of strong storytelling and stellar performance.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Chasing Courage (A Christmas Mystery Book 4) was another great read by M.L. Hamilton. Missing Persons Detective Everleigh Becket and her P.I. partner Isaac Stern have become an elite team. They are able to solve the coldest of cold cases. A.D.A. Marie Schurr asks for their help tracking down a missing witness. But she isn't sure that she wants to make a terrified woman testify against a killer. Madison Wheeler is the only person left that can get justice for a man her boyfriend killed. I loved reading the life that Kelley Hazen brought to the characters. I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read more by the author.

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the narrator and found it extremely enjoyable. A call for the D.A. asking for Everleigh Beckett from the Missing Persons Division to find her missing witness. Everleigh has some reservations about it but with the help of P.I. Isaac Stern, she starts to investigate. After some false starts she seems to have some solid leads, and another Christmas miracle is close at hand. This combination of author and narrator never fails to draw you into their world.

Chasing courage

I love this series. The characters are fun. I think Isaac & Everleigh are so good together. I loved the ending. I laughed & cried.
I'm a big fan of M.L. Hamilton. I've read her Peyton Brooks series & her January to December books. Loved them all. I guess we'll have to wait until next Christmas for book 5 in this series to see what happens next.

When Everleigh and her partner Isaac receive a request to find a missing witness that doesn’t want to be found, what is their choice. They are one of the best, but this might be an impossible request. Full of danger and suspense that you feel through the outstanding Narrator’s voice. Impossible to not binge listen.
