Rose Brate amazes me with another captivating book which tug at my heartstrings. Chasing Charlie: Girl’s Week was beautifully written and a book you don’t want to put down.
Four friends take a vacation to Panama City, Florida for a much needed break. It’s time to soak up the sun and have lots of fun. Unfortunately, Charli is missing. Many risks are taken by her panic-stricken friends to find her as soon as possible.
Numerous emotions, (fear, hatred, heartbreak, hope, joy, and love), were felt while reading this book. Rose continues to write in a manner that has you hooked within the first chapter.
I hope that this book will be part of a series as that cliffhanger was overwhelming. Rose Brate will forever be on my auto-read list. Once you read your first book you will add her to yours!

Tragic story of how fast paradise can turn into a nightmare
This book follows a group of young women as they go on a week long vacation into what should have been paradise. And it was until. in a blink of an eye everything changed. Charlie was gone. The only thing left behind was a shattered mirror and a few droplets of blood.
This book does have a slow start as you get to know the girl but gradually the pacing picks up and intensifies with every page turn, right up to the very end.
This is a wonderful book full of friendship, love, a little mystery, and suspense.

This book is an anxiety trip-not in a bad way
The author keeps you on your toes as Charlie and her friends take off for a long awaited vacation. Unbeknownst to them some things are going to happen that will make this trip one they’ll never forget. This book deals with some terrible things that happen in the world today and maybe some triggers but it’s well written and an edge of the seat story.

What a read!
What a read! I started Chasing Charlie - Girls Week by Rose M. Brate back in June and finally had the chance to finish it completely. I wasn't disappointed one bit! Rose M. Brate has truly done it again, just as she did with Deadly Deceit.
Chasing Charlie - Girls Week is a beautiful yet gripping tale that vividly portrays the beauty and inherent dangers surrounding travel and vacationing, especially for women, whether alone or in a group. What I truly loved about this book is how it shines a light on the things that can go horribly and dangerously wrong when you're on vacation. It's a powerful warning to always be vigilant, a message every traveler should heed.
The chemistry between Charlie and David is simply beyond words; I fell in love with them the moment they met. And Emma, Lena, and Sam are the kind of best friends you dream of having—a friendship that stands strong through thick and thin.
I wholeheartedly gave the characters, the plot, the pacing, and the writing style 4 1/2 stars. This tale was incredibly well-crafted, and the characters developed so realistically. Rose's world-building was a chef's kiss—I could practically smell the salty sea air and feel the sand between my toes! Chasing Charlie - Girls Week was absolutely worth the read, and I can't wait to see what lies in the shadows for Charlie and her besties next. this wasn't a normal read for me but it's wasn't bad. kinda like I know what you did last summer crossed with taken . I'm more of a fantasy girly but this book was a nice reprieve from shadow daddies.. this one has a pretty cool detective daddy just saying ;p

I had an idea of what the storyline would be since I spotlighted this book for its release, but even knowing a little, I was still on the edge of my seat waiting to see how everything played out… and I was not disappointed.

Brate does a brilliant job weaving in real-world issues, highlighting the dangers that can arise not only on vacation but in everyday life. The shift from carefree moments to nail-biting suspense felt seamless and powerful.

This story captured my attention with the promise of the vacation I am in desperate need of! 😂
I found the friendship & support between Charlie, Sam, Lena & Emma admirable & the romance between David & Charlie sweet.
At first, I didn’t trust David, thinking he was the villain… but his relentless tenacity in finding Charlie & Tabitha redeemed him, tenfold!
The character growth between Josh & Emma from where they began to not even batting an eye at stepping up to the plate in becoming heroes truly had my heart!
All in all, Rose did a fabulous job in telling this tale and left me excited and wondering if there will be a book 2 🤔 I couldn’t put this one down, and I suspect you won’t either!

Girls just wanna have fun! But beyond the surf and sand, the drinks and dancing, the sad reality is danger lies in wait! Rose M. Brate drew me in. I felt like one of the girls on their beach adventure! The thing that impressed me most, though, was the subtle way she planted red herrings and took the reader off guard. Right when I was lulled into complacency, settling back in my chair for more fun with friends, bam! My next favorite aspect is Charlie. She's the sort of girl who is alert, organized, determined to make the most of her vacation, and face life with all her senses open. That makes what happens next all the more poignant! If you like a beach bonanza and detective romance that turns into a nail-biting suspense thriller, this one is for you!

Friendship, beaches, hotties...its a lux setup that makes the abduction stronger. From that point on, the book becomes hard to put down, the events unfolding sharp and fast. There are some well placed red herrings. A chilling twist. My heart was in my throat for most of the story, yet I really appreciated that the details were not graphic. The situation is harrowing on its own, and Brate does a great job threading the needle—keeping readers on the edge of their seat, without being dipping into the explicitness that would warrant hefty trigger warnings.

Omg! I absolutely loved this book. It captured me from the beginning and kept me trying to figure out this mystery all the way through. I fell in love with these characters and at times I even cried with all that was going on! This author has a way of putting you right in the story!

Oh man. I was really looking forward to this book. It sounded like something I would enjoy. And had I not done the audiobook, I very well might have. But man...the audio was just awful. It was AI generated and it just completely ruined the book for me.
Because of that I'm giving the book 3 stars because the story and characters were good. It did kind of drag on at the end but I was interested in Charlie and David's story. The subject matter is human trafficking so check TW's but to me it wasn't dark like you might expect. Most was closed door happenings. And really very little spice at all. Again closed door. It has a thriller aspect with trying to figure out who is the actual bad guy. So my recommendation to you is read the actual book do not do the audio. Even if it was free.

Brate puts the DANG in danger in this very well-written, NAIL BITING thriller!! What at first seems like a meet-cute, fun little girls trip soon turns into a nightmare that will have you doubling over with fear and anticipation. I gasped. I cried. I choked on the suspense as my gut was wrenching with every turn of the page. I give this book 10 stars for surprising the actual crap out of me and leaving me wanting so much more.

Love this book! The pace was perfect, kept me hooked and on edge. Book goes from love, fun and happy to nightmare super quick! Hoping for a second book considering the ending!
