TAROT WELL DONE

Rate this book
Tarot card reading is commonly believed to be a form of divination, in which the psychic abilities of the tarot card reader are fundamental to interpreting any form of spiritual messaging.

Tarot Well Done offers an entirely different perspective and explains how the Rider-Waite tarot deck, as illustrated by Pamela Coleman Smith in the early 20th century, provides a framework which is far more sophisticated and consistent than most people (or tarot card readers) realize.

In the same way that languages, music, and mathematics can be learned, memorized, and consistently applied to gain reliable outcomes, so can tarot.

Tarot Well Done explains how the tarot cards are an instrument of communication with which two entities, speaking the same language, may converse. One entity is the tarot card reader. The other entity may, or may not, be known. Nonetheless, when they speak proficiently to one another, the result is consistent messaging, reliable interpretations, and improved accuracy. Not perfect of course, because a human is involved. But close.

Tarot Well Done examines the creation of the Rider-Waite deck, the superb artistry within each card's illustrations, and demonstrates how consistent application of theologies, colors, symbols, numbers, and a few subtle surprises, converge to form a language that anyone can learn and proficiently use, regardless of intuitive ability.

Elena Olympia Collins, has 35+ years of experience reading the Rider-Waite tarot deck. She combines her in-depth knowledge of tarot with her passion for ancient wisdom, philosophy and esoteric practice. The outcome is Tarot Well Done. The essential book for anyone wishing to transform themselves from novice, into the proficient tarot card reader.

Ive followed Ellie‘s YouTube channel “Ellie Dreams Down Under” for a while. She’s my favorite tarot reader on YouTube. She’s calm, thoughtful, and funny. Ellie’s face lights up when she smiles. And her voice is soothing (with an Australian accent! 😀).

I love that Ellie uses a split video screen so that we can see her and the cards at the same time. After shuffling and laying out the cards, she answers a question by describing and interpreting each card.

The book has a section that describes each card from the Rider-Waite (probability the most popular) tarot deck. I considered getting the large print edition, but I can read this one because the font is a nice size. The book is easy to hold and not heavy.

Ellie is a teacher who has written a wonderful tarot manual. I’m sure I’ll use it as a reference tool for a long time.

I cannot remember a time when an esoteric book on Tarot has been so anticipated. Ellie’s 44,000 subscribers of her YouTube channel “Ellie Dreams Down Under” are a ready market for sales. .They won’t be disappointed.

In my opinion, Ellie has an inside track to the hidden symbolism of the Rider-Waite tarot deck. I wouldn’t suggest that she is the reincarnation of the deck’s artist, Pamela Colman Smith, but that Ellie has been ‘inspired’ by “Pixie“. After watching her daily tarot readings for almost 18 months, I can attest to her knowledgeable interpretation of the cards. And she often says how much she loves her cards.

Even for a casual tarot card reader, Ellie’s descriptions and interpretations are a welcome change from the ‘normal’ how-to manuals. Ellie’s conversational style is easy on the eyes (and the mind’s ears).

If you want to get beyond the limits of an ordinary understanding of tarot, look no further than this book::

It’s Tarot Well Done.
