Sinn'ous is the serial killer, loner and most feared inmate. Killing to quell his sadistic desire to inflict pain. A Satanist by heart and soul.
Jasper Marcelo is the thief, smart-ass, fun-loving, and social inmate. Stealing to support his single mother, and his ten-year-old sister who's recovering from cancer. An empath with a love for life, and a desire to help others.
How will Jasper fare, locked in a cage, when he catches the eye of a ruthless serial killer?
Can he make enough friends to keep him out of the killer's grasp?
Or was he doomed the moment he stepped foot into prison?
I wish I had given it a better grade, but this book looks like it was written by a 13-year-old girl. There are so many gaffes that I prefer not to say. The biggest problem is the protagonist, I think he was the dumbest protagonist I've met this year. This kid wouldn't survive 1 hour in the penitentiary of alabastar de nyla k🤣
The boy had so many stupid attitudes that got on my nerves, and the paths that the author took were even dumber. What kind of prison leaves prisoners walking around as if they were in a hotel? Where is the heavy surveillance? How can the guy kill a guard and disappear for hours without any guard noticing it?
The guy barely arrives at prison and can already make friends faster than the flash, something totally out of the ordinary. The serial killer is the owner of the prison, it makes no sense at all. This seems anything but a prison. It's more like a hotel full of strange people 😅
I wasn’t expecting that but I liked the book. A little slow but it was worth it. I just wished at the end there was something to tell us if they got out early or at the same time or did one leave later and how that served them. Also if they still stayed together when they both got out. That would’ve made the book feel more complete.
I loved this book! It is a slow burn, but totally worth it. The writing is fantastic, so good. I cannot wait for book 2 for the continuation of this story and to get Sin’s pov. I so want to know how his mind works. He’s fascinating! First book read by this author, but am now off to find another to download 👏🏼👏🏼
This story is extremely slow burn and moves slowly but has a lot of events that happen. izz is sent to prison for theft and has a lot happen to him in the beginning of his prison stay. He is immediately attracted and drawn to Sin, who is known in the prison as a serial killer, even tho there is no proof and that’s not why he’s there. He is feared by everyone and he is intrigued by no one until Izz. This is book 1 and while it doesn’t have an ending or an HEA, it isn’t left on a cliffhanger or in a bad place. It is well written and while the burn is slow, the steamy scenes are hot. I look forward to the future books.
Not sure what to rate this. Was actually pleasantly surprised. It was much better than I was expecting it to be.
I only had 2 negative thoughts for the most part. But....47% in a 400 page book, is a really odd place to have the 2 MC's utter their first words to each other. 47%
I kept think WTF, COME ON!
Now, I liked most of the gang. And enjoyed a lot of the book.
and, I did have to stop, and put the book down for a while when the other MC said Now, that's not always a negative. I just wasn't expecting it. IDK considering he's a serial killer. But a tag for bloodplay would have been nice going in. I shelved it for that. Hell, if it had been tagged, I might have chosen the book because of it. But not knowing it was coming, took me off guard.
Beautifully told! 😘I love it when I'm allowed to deeply dive into the getting to know you phase. Izz falls into your psyche with ease, plucking at your heartstrings softly. E. P. Writer takes great care letting you into his world. And Sin is well Sin. A hot, enigmatic serial killer who does not see himself as such and upon seeing Izz his first day in lock up...wants! 😶Hmmm... The delicious way our minds work play out inside a cage. A microcosm of the human condition. Obsession or love? Read and come to your own conclusions.😋Highly recommended for those who can handle a lot of triggers. I mean, be responsible to yourself. Fantastic...can't wait for next installment!
This is a new to me author and while the blurb seemed compelling I’ve been in a sorta reading slump so wasn’t expecting much. I was happy to realize I was wrong, this book actually held my interest from beginning to end. The characters were well fleshed out and the details of events were entertaining. The only thing I wished it had was more of an epilogue. I’m seriously surprised this book isn’t more well known because it actually is a good read.
I gave this one a very loose three stars. This book wasn't awful but wasn't amazing either. When entering a prison novel, some form of suspended belief is necessary. With this one a bit more, imagination was necessary than others I have enjoyed. I found Izz to be an okay character, but I never fell in love with him. I found Sin to be more interesting, but that could have been because of how mysterious he was, I kept waiting for his perspective or a peak of his thoughts. They were never given. I really prefer both ML views when reading, especially with one of them being a serial killer. This book feels very surface deep and to me. There is just a lot that never gets brought up or fleshed out. The ending just comes at you kind of before you expect it and didn't leave me super satisfied. I feel like some of the knife play just kind of gets thrown in at the end. I also didn't love the pacing in this story that well in certain moments. All that being said, I do love a prison romance that isn't the tragic type. Throw in a psycho killer, and I'm sold, lol.
Except for the point that it was highly unrealistic, it was decent. Didn't like Izz at all. Idk what it is about him but I didnt like him. And why was he so mean to David? Like yeah he's talking bad about you but it's true. I wouldnt want some random guy to start putting me and my friends in danger. Also I feel like this book would have been better in first person. I think it just got confusing sometimes. I also think it should have been done so it's in 1st person but it also flips between both Izz and Sin's pov. And I feel like there was more unnecessary thoughts than dialog which got boring fast.

First of it's not your hot spicy M/M story it's more of a SLOW Slow slow burner that lead up to it. But in al honesty I truly enough this book :) I like the uniqueness that this author did with this book and the last element that I was not expecting with Sin- I am intrigued to know how he thinks.
Never had read a book with this kind of kinks call me whatever you want but sometimes books don't have to make sense if Jasper is a dumbass then so be it but he did make me laugh with his life decision and the way the thinks.
So on that note I rate this book 5 star cause I did enjoyed this book to the fullest can't wait to read Caged killer.
First time I’ve read this author. Rounding up, more of a 3.5.
Parts of the book were slow, like to the point where I wondered if I'd finish. The ending left me with a huh moment. It’s a slow burn and some of the scenes are worrisome… read your triggers.
I wasn’t expecting to even finish this book let alone like it but I did. Is it far fetched and ridiculous? Of course. Is Jasper surviving a day in prison? No. Why I really disliked was cutting it off so abruptly just to continue it in a second book. Why not just alternate POV’s and tell the story in one go? I won’t be reading the second one.
I wasn't sure if I would enjoy the book or not but I have it a shot and devoured it! I loved the plot and everything building to the final page. I will definately be reading the second book. It was a little lengthy for me but I still enjoyed the story
Que decirte? Me re gustó. Hasta que no hubo un contacto directo con Sin no pude parar de leer y después ya es adictivo. Es muy entretenido en los pequeños detalles por más que Izz sea molesto como protagonista principal. No se, no lo pude parar de leer

4.9 ✩ The story delivered more than I expected in certain aspects and overall I recommend it! My only complain is about Jasper's personality and how I was expecting to see more of the "extroverted" personality he claims to have. Apart from that I just loved it (one of my best reads of the year), the chemistry between them, The Gang, Sin's satanism (very charismatic lol), the slow burn (kinda?). I'll be waiting for book 2!
MM🌈 Prisoners Serial killer Slow burn Grumpy/sunshine
Jasper “Izz” is incarcerated for theft/burglary. As the fresh meat, he is harassed by several people. Beat down by skinheads. Molested by another group. A guard tries to force him into a bj for a drawing his sister gave him at visitation. He does make friends with “The Gang”, a group of misfit prisoners. A couple of these men jump in and help when the skinheads jumped Izz. They were all sent to the hole, except Izz. Some of the remaining members of The Gang resent looking after the newbie.
Izz is also receiving gifts anonymously. Come to find out they are from the serial killer on his block, Sinn’ous (I have no idea how to pronounce this so I just read it as Sin). They become friendly and then eventually intimate. Sin likes knife play and blood, obviously. All the people who have harassed Izz end up dead.
This kinda drags on, giving detailed day by day activities of his first month or two in prison. And there is a second book that will continue their story. This one just kinda ends. Not really a cliffhanger but yeah. Also Izz is just so naive. Like how do you not understand some of the stuff that is happening? I will most likely continue because the next book focus on Sin, so it should be more intriguing.
