I just can't bear it, how Lindgren and Wikland and Lotta make me feel so warm and soft inside, like maybe the world is a good place after all. Why are these so hard to find in the US?!
I think this was one of my first book in my live I read all by myself and finished it in like a week. I just don't remember how old I was. But still the memories are still there and I can say about that book that it is a great book for little kid, who just learned reading. The print was big enough, the words easy but still sometimes a challenge, which kept my interest in that book. A very sweet story about a little girl and the Christmastime. Perfect to read during the Christmastime, I guess. ;)
Lotta z ulicy Awanturników to niezwykła pięcioletnia dziewczynka, której pomysłowość rozbawi nawet najtwardszego czytelnika.
January 2019 - this year's favorite Christmas book. It's long for a picture book, so I broke it up into 3 "chapters" to spread it over several nights. Ben asked for it again and again.
This is definitely my favorite Lotta book! It was refreshing to see a character in a children's book to be so sure of herself and not letting things get to her while still being honest and kind to others and expecting others to do the same. It is also a great seasonal read for Christmas and the illustrations are super sweet as well!
