I went into this with no expectations but omg it was amazing.
Apollo and Royce had a very complicated relationship since they were 16. They love each other deeply but there was always standing something between them.
Apollo is such a sweetheart and I felt sorry for him most of the time. Being punished by the people closest to him and having his crush ignore him was heartbreaking.
On the other hand we have Royce who reminds me so much of Damon from the Devils Night series by Penelope Douglas. And I love him the same as I love Damon. He is a tortured soul, had to grow up fast, protects his brothers and faces the punishments from his father. I had empathy for him too. I understood some of his reactions but I also get why Apollo suffered. The past and what he did was eating at him and he couldn't talk to anybody.
Their relationship was toxic but also one characterized by true love and everybody near them could tell. They were meant for each other.
There were parts that broke me but the ending fixed me up again.
I recommend this book so much. One of the best mm romances I read lately.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I could believe they had feelings for each other, but as we see very little of the past, we are only told what happened not shown, so it was harder to understand the situation that led them to where they were, when they met again. Royce's feelings and past were explained more, so I could understand him more than I did Apollo. I felt like Royce wasn't as bad as others saw him, it was more that no-one took the time to actually understand or get to know him. I was hoping to see them talk things through more, but it seemed like their relationship developed mostly off-page. The ending was nice, but it still felt like they didn't really get far with their relationship.
This book is so more than I anticipated. I cried more than once in this story. We don't often recognize the damage done to children while they're growing. The deep scars that live deep in the soul.
This story is about 4 boys raised by parents that got lost along the way in how they raised thier boys and how to love them. It's about hate, love, self destruction and survival. It's about them finding love and trying to navigate through it all. Living the good, the bad and the ugly of all life throws at us.
You can feel the emotions of the characters, feel thier highs and lows. The world building is top notch and pulls you in. So grab a box of tissues and settle in for one hell of a journey.

I had a really hard time getting into Marry Privilege by Laikyn Meng. Unfortunately, this just didn’t work for me. None of the characters had any redeeming qualities, which made it tough to connect with or care about what happened to them. The storyline felt disjointed and confusing—like important plot points were either skipped or only made sense if you'd read the first two books in the series. (I hadn’t, and I felt completely lost at times.)
The pacing dragged, and even the steamy scenes felt dull and uninspired. There was also a lot of foul language that seemed excessive and out of place, pulling me out of the story rather than adding to it.
I enjoy a good M/M romance, but this one just didn’t deliver. Disappointing overall.
This story spoke of a reset and a redo, not an undo because that's impossible unless you own a time machine. You can only move forward with integrity, strength of character, and love. Love makes you vulnerable. It allows yoy to be hurt emotionally and physically. Your soul is left open and bare. Royce and Apollo's story resonated with me. It was impactful and beautifully poignant, and sometimes hard to read. Challenge yourself with this honestly raw read. I voluntarily read a free copy of this book provided by book sirens and am giving an honest opinion.
Omg. What a crazy wild ride! Took my emotions on a roller coaster ride for sure. Exciting, intense, detailed storyline that was fast paced. Characters were multilayered and relatable. Their journey together was unique and interesting. Author did a great job telling these characters story. Felt like I knew them personally. This is a must read book. It was fantastic!
They will marry but it is not for love. These men will need to try to work together to have a much stronger and a happier future. Life is not going to be easy for them so see just where it will all go I received an advance copy from hidden gems and wow a great story
I was looking forward to ready this one. It left me tremendously disappointed. It had so much potential. If I had known it was book 3 in a series, I wouldn't have read it as this can't be read as a standalone. A note from the author would have been helpful. I couldn't relate to any of the characters. All I saw were flawed people with no redeemable qualities. Apollo seemed to be a door mat for Royce. There was just so much backstory that I was missing out. It was hard to follow the storyline. You couldn't tell who was talking at all. No steamy chemistry between Apollo and Royce.
