Deja Hawkins lives her life from paycheck to paycheck with a no-good man at the house while she works to pay the bills. She gets fed up with her boyfriend Kyren and tells him to get out while she’s at work. An unexpected guest in one of the rooms she cleans steps in with an offer of help to Deja in more ways than one.
Amir Shaw has been groomed to take over the family’s business empire since he learned to walk and talk. He is caught off guard when his mother reveals a clause he’d never heard of that requires him to be married before taking over. Amir takes his time to find a wife as a form of rebellion. He turns down all the women his mother puts before him. He returns home from a meeting with one of his mother’s wife options when he meets a teary-eyed stranger who makes his world stop.

This was an enjoyable story, the family secrets had me beside myself! But I thoroughly enjoyed Amir from the first time he made an appearance on page! He exuded “standing on business” and wanted all the smoke behind, Deja! I love a good messy marriage of convenience story.

Can you say more money more problems? Amir Shaw is set to take over his family's business, until his mother flips the script and tells him he has to be married first. Aight bet! Mom thinks she is going to set me up with some bougie, fake, dumb ass plastic bi**h? I think not! When Amir lays eyes on Deja he has found his wife.
Deja is at her wits end working her ass off while her no good boyfriend does nothing but use her and spend her money. She has had enough and dumps him over the phone while at work and puts him out of her house. While she is gathering herself cleaning a hotel suite, she encounters Mr. Amir Shaw.
Amir helps her get her ex out of her place, while presenting her with a proposal that will help them both. Shocked that Deja agreed so quickly they put plans into place for their new lives together, when all hell breaks loose.
The Shaw family had more secrets and lies than a little bit!! I wondered what was up with Alice and her odd behavior for public perfection, but damn I had no idea she was out there like that. Then Mr. Shaw too??? They had a whole reality show plot going on in that family! 😂

This is my 1st book this author and I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this book!!!…This book kept me laughing and a couple of ahh haa moments too!!!…
I was not expecting the ole Alice to be for the streets on another man’s dollar!!!…Daddy Shaw was out here hanging in those same streets but making babies along the way!!!…
I was soooo happy for Deja because she definitely deserved all the happiness she received, even if it all started on an arrangement!!!…Here and Amir made a perfect pair!!!…
Deja’s ex definitely was missing the house that Deja built!!!…

Let's get married!!
I loved me some Amir he was with the s h I t s right from the start lol. He scooped Deja right on up and applied pressure. The Shaw family was the definition of mo money mo problems!! And more drama than a little bit this was a sexy and fun story.

Bound by Choice
This was my first read by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed this story from beginning to end. Deja and Amir were so cute together and you could feel their love for each other off the page. I loved how Amir was all in from the beginning and was determined to make Deja his wife. Amir was the definition of BDE from the way he was described physically to the way he loved, protected and supported Deja to the way he would assert some dominance when needed. I also loved that Amir didn’t try to change Deja and understood her need for continuing to work herself and not just be taken care of. I also loved the way that Deja was all in as well once she heard the terms of their arrangement and how she was also protective of Amir. These two had great balance and great chemistry.
This book was not without its drama and secrets. Between Alice and Amir’s father, I’m not sure which one had the most secrets and indiscretions, but I can say Alice had all the audacity with the way she moved. This lady was flawed and walked around like her stuff didn’t stink.
This story also gave me plenty of laughs between Amir and Deja and Azai and his foolishness and Seven saying whatever was on her mind and the way Amir’s father talked to Alice when he was handling her for being ridiculous. I would recommend this story, but also warn that there are some editing issues as well as some inconsistencies throughout, but these issues did not take away from my enjoyment of the story.

The Shaw's were too many things. There was so much going on that you had to keep your head on a swivel. Whew, Chile!!
Amir and Azai, brothers, born to Alice and Ashton Shaw supposedly. In order for Amir to inherit the family business, he has to find a wife. Amir wanted to choose for himself and not one of the countless women his mother paraded in front of him.
Deja, a housekeeper at the family hotel, is having a rough day. Her boyfriend of many years has been doing the least and most at the same time. She is fed up and breaks up with him. While cleaning the penthouse suite, she encounters Amir. Amir decides then and there that Deja will be his wife.
This book is so good. I enjoyed the comedic moments as well as the serious moments. Toy did a fantastic job! I look forward to reading more of her books.

This book was a five-star, ughhh. This man looks at this woman while holding her gun to her face and asks why you are crying. He hardly cared that he thought she was trespassing. It was all about her and how she felt in that moment and beyond that. This book was so good. It had just the right amount of everything. Romance, drama/plot, and spice. Nothing overpowered each other. The love and care Deja and Amir have for each other is strong. With each other for the best and the worst. Because chile this book had a good amount of worse. Don't let that stray you away from the read was perfect. This is a new to me author, and I will be reading again. Can't wait to read about his brother ! Ps. The mama is trifling couldn’t stand that heffa.

Strange Things Can Happen.
Toy, what a good read . I loved how strong Dejah was even when she could have just given up on living. Amir was his own man. Oh what a great twist you gave. Alice got her just reward. It's a shame some folk will do anything for appearances.
This read was just an important thing to understand what is real and what is fake.
I want to see what the brothers will do though🤗🤗🤗🤗

This man was just everything! Amir and Deja was everything the other needed. He wasnt a man that flaunted his money, but he sure carried himself in a way that let you kno he was THAT NICCAAAA!! I like how he loves on Deja. She loves on him in a way he doesnt realize she's constantly thinking of and protecting his image. She is no damsel in distress and doesnt look at him as a bank account or come up. The family secrets are plentiful and the jokes are endless!

Alice was a piece of work when it came out that she wasn’t the mama I thought Paulette was her child that’s why she was trying so hard to get him to marry for his money then she was sleeping with the daddy just wow she thought she was going to blowup their spot at the ball and backfired on her but kyren couldn’t let go even after all the dirt he did smh but Amir was not coming up off deja we just need a book for azai cause he needs taming lol

I hate this fu king book! What is wrong with these authors and these cheating story lines. This man went on a whole thing about this woman cheating on him only for us to find out that he cheated on her first having a five year long affair which resulted in 4 fu king kids. Like are you serious and she’s the one that was punished. GTFO. I didn’t even care about Deja and Amir’s love anymore. I just hate this book. This is my first and last story by this author. DISAPPOINTING!!
This story tired to make Alice the bad guy so bad and yes some of the stuff she did was questionable, but this woman raised 2 of his affair babies. The villain in this story is the fu king father, but that bitch still got a happy end. I am just so furious.

First book by this Author
I enjoyed Deja and Amir book. It started off with a bang and kept the secrets coming. I figured out some of the secrets beforehand, and it was wordy at times, so I put it down for a minute. All in all, it's a good read. Awaiting the next book in this series.

This is my first time reading this author. I could not put the book down! I it was very refreshing to see the family dynamics between father and sons, Deja and her dad and the budding relationship between Azai and Azair and their younger siblings. I hope part 2 isn’t too much to ask for. Seven and Azai deserve a story.

Review
This was such a good read from beginning to end. Imagine a gun being pointed at you and you end up being with the person who did it. Amir was a boss in every since of the way. I'm glad Deja gave him a chance. Alice got what she deserved. Not pops having secrets. We need a book on Azai. Can't wait to see what's next.

This one was kind of predictable as you read along. The momma was being sneaky throughout the whole book and it took Amir and his brother and daddy that long to figure out she was cheating. The whole time the daddy had secrets as well. The family secrets were kind of drawn out. I like marriage tropes and arranged marriages but this one was just not it.

So I do have mixed feelings about it but based off vibes I enjoyed. It’s an insta-love with arranged marriage trope. He falls first. Fast paced. Very fast in the first 24-48 hrs lol. There is lots of drama and a plot twist. I feel like some characters got let off too easy when they very well caused the drama.

Good read. I liked the main characters Amir and Deja. As soon as he meets her, he instantly wanted to be apart of and change her life. Not completely believable but page turning .

Absolutely love it. First time reading a book by this author and it won’t be the last. Amir is every woman dream. Deja was is every man’s dream. I love that it wasn’t too toxic, her ex was annoying but Amir handle him. Azai was funny, I would love to see what happens with him next
