Harriet Cook and Owen Whitlock are adjusting to life together. She’s doing her best to adapt to her new surroundings, but living with aspiring musicians is anything but easy. The universe throws many twists and turns her way, including an unexpected friendship and a trip back to her beloved Ardmair Bay. Harriet continues to focus on healing from the indiscretions of her late husband, but is she pushing Owen away in the process? On top of that, Whelven’s juggernaut of success is sweeping everyone up, but an unexpected twist threatens to derail them. A tough decision must be made, and Harriet must decide how much she is prepared to sacrifice for the greater good.
This is an amazing read and fantastic follow-up to More Than Goodbye.
We follow Harriet and Owen as they navigate new challenges once the move in together. Harriet has to adapt to life with a band member, but she finds solace in the form of a new friend, who ends up meaning a whole lot more to her than she could have imagined.
This is another beautiful story, and it goes back to the setting of Book 1 also, so more of those beautiful descriptions shine through. More than that, though, Rox Blackburn has a real skill for emotion, and I finished the story thoroughly satisfied!
Great continuation to the first book. Having read the story of Whelven from the beginning the characters are more defined, whilst the drama and the joys of band life are experienced moreso in this second book.
