Who are the hunters and who the hunted?
…….I was immediately drawn into the second book about D.I. Rita Gupta, with the mention of The Keeper and The Gathering which linked to The Guardian in the previous book. As the story continued, it began to feel even darker than the earlier story.
Murders, secrecy, videos, texts, a stag’s head, drugs, cash, burner phones - what else is going on? It certainly keeps Rita and her team very busy and surprised me several times. I’m already looking forward to reading Little Voice Lost to find out what Rita’s team has to investigate next.

Gupta's past continues to come after her in a violent way. In book one she put the Guardian in prison, and now the Keeper has taken his place. This book has murderers, child abusers, and many more unsavory characters. There is a hint at the end that there may be another person moving into the top position of the cult called the Gathering.

This was a great story about Rita find out who is killing young people that belong to some kind of cult and finding who is responsible with lots of suspense and action. Thank you very much.
