This low-spice, no swearing Novella is sure to please Sweet Romance Fans.
Tina, a Canadian author, draws inspiration from her travels, revisiting places she’s been to in her novels and integrating places she dreams of visiting, sparking a sense of adventure and curiosity in her readers.

Storm Whispered Promises is the second book in Tina Cyr’s Whispers of the Heart series, offering a heartfelt, slow-burn romance that captures both the sweetness and challenges of falling in love. This novella features a classic grumpy/sunshine dynamic between the two main characters, Jeremy and Judith, whose contrasting personalities provide the perfect backdrop for an emotional and heartwarming journey.
Jeremy, a rule-bound, rigid character, and Judith, an easygoing, optimistic spirit, are thrown together by circumstance, and despite their differences, their chemistry is undeniable. Their relationship progresses naturally, moving from enemies to friends, and ultimately to lovers. Their individual pasts, filled with personal traumas, color their perceptions and reactions to certain situations, creating a rich emotional tension. The beauty of this story lies in how these characters learn to navigate their differences, embracing the idea that understanding each other’s perspectives is the key to true connection.
One of the most delightful aspects of Storm Whispered Promises is its gentle, almost cozy vibe. This is a romance that doesn’t demand high stakes or intense drama. Instead, it's a perfect choice for a quiet day when you’re in the mood for something tender and uncomplicated.
For fans of the first book in the Whispers of the Heart series, there’s a lovely reunion with Etienne and Amelie, who make cameo appearances, adding depth and continuity to the story. However, the focus is firmly on Jeremy and Judith, and their growing bond is the heart of the novella.
Tina Cyr’s writing is engaging and smooth, making it easy to become immersed in the story. The characters feel authentic, and the portrayal of Jeremy’s social awkwardness and anxiety is both relatable and sensitively handled. It’s clear that Tina has a deep understanding of her characters, which makes their emotional growth throughout the novella all the more impactful.
Though Storm Whispered Promises is a short read, it leaves a lasting impression. The combination of likable characters, sweet romance, and thoughtful personal development makes this novella a standout. The emotional depth of the story lingers long after you’ve turned the last page, and by the end, I found myself wishing for more time with Jeremy and Judith.
If you’re a fan of slow-burn romance with well-developed characters and emotional growth, Storm Whispered Promises is a book you’ll want to pick up. Tina Cyr has crafted a touching and relatable story that will leave readers eager to dive into the next book in the series.
Highly recommended for readers who appreciate heartfelt, character-driven stories that explore love and personal healing in a truly satisfying way.
This novella was such a delightful and heartfelt read. Though it was a quick story, it packed an emotional punch that stayed with me long after I finished it. There’s something so timeless and deeply moving about realizing you love someone when you never thought you could—it’s a tale as old as time, yet it never fails to stir the heart. The author captured that journey beautifully, making it feel both fresh and familiar in the best way.
I especially adored the FMC’s optimism; she brought so much warmth and light to the story, making it impossible not to root for her. Her positivity was contagious, and it balanced the emotional depth of the story perfectly. The romance itself was sweet and tender, unfolding in a way that felt natural and believable.
Beyond the romance, the characters were truly lovable, each with their own charm and depth that made them feel real. The writing was smooth and engaging, making it easy to get lost in the story. It’s the kind of novella that reminds you why you love reading romance—sweet, heartfelt, and beautifully written. I only wish it had been longer because I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to these characters!
Storm Whispered Promises by Tina Cyr is a cozy, heartfelt romance that beautifully captures the journey of two opposites finding common ground. Jeremy and Judith’s dynamic—grumpy meets sunshine—creates an engaging and emotional slow-burn romance that evolves from tension to genuine connection. Their personal struggles and past traumas add depth to their relationship, making their growth both realistic and touching.
The snowy, secluded setting enhances the warmth of the story, giving it a comforting feel perfect for a quiet afternoon read. While Judith’s initial attitude toward Jeremy might be frustrating for some readers, her development over the course of the story is satisfying. The inclusion of characters from Snow Whispered Memories adds an extra layer of charm and continuity for fans of the series.
Cyr’s writing shines in her ability to create relatable characters and emotionally rich narratives. Storm Whispered Promises is a sweet, closed-door romance that feels like a warm hug—perfect for anyone who loves character-driven stories with depth, healing, and a touch of humor. I’ll definitely be looking forward to the next book in the series!
This novella was a sweet little book, not as short as you'd think, and full of growth and love.
Jeremy is this little slice of humanity, someone so unexpected and relatable. And he turns out to be a real knight in shining armor, in the most human and real ways. It's so sweet to experience the shift in his life with him, from 'not really boyfriend material' to 'boyfriend and protector all along'.
Judith is also completely relatable, someone who has it all together, sprinkled with some humor and fun, but is suffering inside from a loneliness she doesn't let anyone else see. She's also a teacher who loves her job and her kids but seems to be looking for more.
They both have had their relationship trauma, but it's nothing a little forced proximity won't cure. Getting to know them and watch them grow was delightful, and I've never felt more for a more normal, human, and relatable book boyfriend.
Standalone but with some lovable characters from what is technically book one, Snow-Whispered Promises, another sweet book. You could start there, but you could start here, too. I just know I'll never forget Jeremy. He'll always have a special place in my heart. Love him 🥹

❄️ Enemies to Friends to Lovers ❄️ Snowed In ❄️ Found Family ❄️ Anxiety Rep
Read this book if.. 1. You loved Amelie and Etienne’s story and want more of them! 2. You’ve ever felt like you don’t quite belong 3. Have dealt with being socially awkward and all the struggles in life that come with it 4. Need a feel good novella to warm up your day!
I loved this book! I could relate to both main characters in different ways. I loved the journey that they went on. There was so much growth packed into this novella! It was raw, real, hilarious, heart warming, and just over all a very enjoyable read. I felt seen and heard with the portrayal of a socially awkward character and his anxiety that stems from it. I felt seen and heard with the forever optimist that is so busy being happy for everyone else they realize they are missing their happiness.
This book had the warm and cozy vibes that I’m realizing is a Tina signature!
ARC Review for Storm Whispered Promises. This is book #3. 4.5/5 ⭐️
I loved this book, honestly much better than book #1 Snow Whispered Memories. Etienne and Amelie from book one were actually also in this book heavily. Jeremy is great friends with them. They plan a trip to a cottage in the mountains, an escape, and skiing. Judith is a friend of Amelies and comes along. Initially, there is some tension and differences of opinions between Jeremy and Judith. Walls eventually come down. Their week of adventure doesn't go as planned, and they grow close to something more. It was also nice seeing how Etienne and Amelies relationship has progressed.
@tina_cyr writes great closed door clean romance. Not my usual go-to, but these books are short, sweet, and the perfect palate cleanse, in my opinion.
Giving this book 4.5/5. I enjoyed it, but the characters in the beginning didn't only annoy each other..... Wow, they annoyed me too 🙈😆
What can I say? Tina has done it again with another successful, sweet romance. This book is no exception to the wonderful stories and characters that Tina creates. Hallmark really needs to contact her.
In this second book of The Whispers of the Heart series, we follow Jeremy and Judith on their path to love. They are a definite opposites attract couple and start off as enemies then friends then lovers. They each have past hurts and trauma that have colored how they see and handle certain things. Which is problematic when faced with the same situation, their reactions are completely different. They both have to learn to realize that their way isn't the only way and that people have their reasons for what they do if you take a moment to listen and understand.
Also, bonus, Etienne and Amelie from book 1, Snow Whispered Memories, are also in this book and they are just as lovely as ever.
I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Before I started this book, I had never heard of the author before.Nor had I ever read anything by them.
Storm Whispered Promises is the second book in what appears to be the Whispers of the Heart trilogy.
I went into this book not having read anything by this author including the first book in this series. I don't feel I missed out on anything by not reading the first book. This book is written well enough that it stands on its own.
It is a cute kind of grumpy/sunshine theme in which our two main characters Jeremy and Judith are thrown together. Jeremy is more rigid and a rule follower while Judith is kind of happy go lucky but they work! The couple from the first book have cameos in this one. I always like it when an author re introduces us to previous characters. . The only item that left me a little confused was Jeremy's overbearing behavior at the cabin in the beginning. The author alludes to some past issue that causes his behavior, but I don't know what it is. It may have been addressed in the first book and I missed it because I did not read the first book. I will have to see after reading the first book.If my question is answered.
I do plan on going back and reading the first book. This is definitely a slow burn type romance with a lower spice rating. It is one of those books that you pick up on a rainy or snowy day and just enjoy a quiet romance that is not complicated. I recommend this book and want to try more by this author.
Skiing trip turns into being snowed in. This is book 2 in the series. Now, for the story, I really disliked Judith in the beginning of this story. I was so annoyed at her behavior. You were warned by your very best friend about the way Jeremy is, then came on the trip and proceeded to just antagonize everything about the way he is. I was just angered by that. Once Etienne talked to her and she sort of looked at things from a different perspective, she sort of toned it down and then they started to warm up to each other a bit. But man, it drove me crazy. Especially because my personality it very much like Jeremy's. These are very short, sweet, heartwarming stories. Not my typical type of reads, but I enjoy them as palate cleansers.
This was a storm of a read . Brought together because of the weather indeed. Jeremy a quiet unassuming engineer and Judith a vibrant full of life teacher are both at a cozy cabin retreat, it starts off as anything but sweet. The banter and the game ,their split personalities frame how far they go with blame and it’s a shame ,they could be friends . Set on the snowy slopes of Stoneham ,this vulnerable pair begin to share their hopes and desires and make amends. The whispers in the shadows ,hardly seem real, but they very soon do begin to heal. A slow burn romance with humour so striven as the snow is driven. Great writing by Tina Cyr. Storytelling awesome.
This was the perfect read to curl up with. I loved the characters and the real-life situations they found themselves in. The story is brilliantly crafted and almost does not feel like fiction!
Such a lovely story, with amazing and relatable characters, you don't see very often, showing the ups and downs of people's emotions and their willingness to grow and be aware of everyone's differences, and using that to be a stronger whole. The strenght to follow one's dreams and the resolution to see them through, without letting many hardships get in the way, is also hopeful and endearing. Very heartwarming and light. 🤗 I strongly recommend it, since I thoroughly and truly liked it!
This was a super cute, clean romance. Forced proximity with grumpy and sunshine tropes. The story follows 4 friends going to a cabin for a weekend of skiing. The trip is interrupted by a massive snow storm. The group is snowed in and passing the time until the storm clears up. I enjoyed the snowed in antics the group gets up to while passing the time, such as games of risk and meal prepping.
Fans of the first book will get plenty of time with Etienne and Amelie. This new story centers around their friends, Jeremy and Judith. This book is an easy 5 stars for the writing of Jeremy! I appreciate how the author can convey Jeremy’s thoughts and feelings relating to trauma, anxiety, and control in situations that cause him stress.
Another sweet read from Tina. A true enemies to lovers story. Jeremy and Judith are like oil and water in the beginning Jeremy the pessimist and Judith the optimist. Through Tina’s story telling and magical scenery you see these two learn from each other and realize what they are both missing in each other’s lives…Love.
Another great read in this series and great to see Ettiénne and Amelie again.
3.5 stars In Storm-Whispered Promises, Tina Cyr introduces readers to Jeremy and Judith, whose paths cross when they become snowbound in a secluded cabin. The forced proximity allows for the exploration of their contrasting personalities and the development of an unexpected bond. Cyr masterfully blends elements of the grumpy/sunshine trope with themes of healing and new beginnings, resulting in a touching and relatable story.
Another winner book in the series. I kept holding out for what I wanted the outcome to be between our two main characters Jeremy and Judith but the author takes us on an adventure. About storms, power outages, trees falling, ski trips, rationing food, movie nights, pregnant friends…. Lots to explore with this great book.
I can neither ski nor snowboard, however, reading Storm Whispered Promises made me want to go on a skiing holiday so that I can snuggle up by the fire and read this book drinking hot chocolate! It's yet another fabulous read from Tina Cyr, the second in the series, I can't wait for the next book. As always Tina I'm loving your work!❤️
Lots of emotions in this story. Surviving the storm is so important to Jeremy that he starts to really get on Judith’s nerves. Their characters develop as the story develops. Neither is open to any feelings between them. Their relationship continues to develop after the trip. Interesting storyline. I received this book from the author and this is my voluntary, honest review.
This was such a cute, fast read. In book 2, we get to meet Jeremy and Judith. They are polar opposites and it definitely caused some conflict between them in the beginning. They eventually get past the conflict, and it leads to romantic feelings. The characters were well developed and relatable. I enjoyed this closed-door romance and it is a perfect read for a cold, winter day.
If you enjoy a good snowed-in cabin adventure, I think you'll enjoy this one. Four friends face a serious challenge when a snowstorm strands them together but they 'weather' it all with some humor and a bit of "Princess Bride" binges. Since I'm a huge fan of that movie, it was one of my favorite call-backs. Sweet. Clean. Contemporary Romance.
touching I liked Jeremy´s vulnerability, he deserves to finally believe is right just the way he is and to love and be loved. Who could be better to help him heal than Judith with her sunny look at life?
Judith and Jeremy are adorable. Loved how their hearts thawed and opened up to the possibility of love after their past relationships. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five stars 0 🌶️ Short and sweet perfect novella.
Delightfully charming! Tina Cyr crafts a heartfelt tale about discovering love when and where you least expect it. Storm-Whispered Promises may be a short novella, but it packs a joyful punch.
I really enjoyed this story. Jeremy and Judith are getting to know each other during this storm and there is quite a journey they are on. I loved their story of romance. This was a great story.
