Shadow Creatures: The Hybrid Series, Book 2

Rate this book
Some are born to rule. Others are forged by fire.

As the Queen of the hybrid army, I carry the weight of leading my people against The Order—a ruthless regime led by my own mother, a woman intent on erasing my kind from existence.

This isn’t a tale of hiding in shadows or running from battles.

I stand ready to fight, to bleed, and to win.

Every scar tells a story and every battle brings me closer to vengeance.

But as darkness threatens to consume me, I must confront my past, my pain, and the family bonds that cut the deepest.
Because only a heart as cold as mine can bear the burden of war—and wield it as a weapon.

If you’re looking for a book with a strong FMC, an army, and a love story this book is definitely for you.

This is my first fantasy book that contained a vampire, witch and warewolf. With this, it took me a transition period to get into the book. This book followed Malía, the queen of the Hybrid Army protesting against The Order. In this book you see pain, loss, love, and empowerment.

Thank you @bloomandbeyondpr for this E-ARC!

I received an ARC of this book!

I have to admit that I started the story here in book 2 and had not read book one. With that being said at no point did I feel lost or like I didn’t have an understanding of the characters of the story and I think that’s due to the structure of this book. One of the coolest parts about this book is that For most of it the main characters trapped in their own memories and because of that I’m able to connect to the past plot lines, the present plot and the future plot at the same time. I think as a literary device that was really well done in the story and it allowed for a depth of getting to know the main character That we maybe wouldn’t have seen if the plot was linear.

With that said one thing that was hard is that if you read too fast, it could be confusing because when the main character comes out out of her memories, things move pretty quickly and I could see it getting jumbled up. When we switch point of view, that is a really cool device that allows us to get very close to Davin. I think some of what I lost coming in to book 2 is a deeper understanding of how much emotion and regret she probably really does have of how she treated her children, of her other dead lovers just due to time and how nuts the villains really are. You can feel it, but I bet it’s deeper if you read book one.

Overall, a really great story that I recommend anyone pick up whether you’ve read book one and you’ve been salivating for this one or whether this review causes you to jump into the story and I cannot wait for the next installment

I can’t wait until the next book. I do wish this had more spice. Other than that, the characters were likable and the plot was deep. There was a lot going on and I had to reread a couple of times. But over all this was an enjoyable read.

My thoughts as I read….

Not sure why, it I could just smell the smell.

“Anyone who stands for my people deserves a place at my table.” - melted my heart

Oooo, she likes him!

You’ll have a queen by your side. You’ll have me.” - 😭😭

40% - let the action begin!

Oh dang, holy shit. Ripped the throat right out

Oh yea…. She’s got it bad

When he calls her wife 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵

Talk about a way to foreplay

“I would have done anything to keep you safe, even if that meant sacrificing myself.“ - I’m swooning 😍

“If you die I die” 🥺🥺

I love the little “flashback unlocked” thing when she met Leo. I love that it gave more depth to an already deep plot.

I love how she just comes in and takes over. In true woman fashion…. “Give me the blade, I’ll do it myself”…. Ya know the saying, if you want it don’t right…. Haha

Around 70% I started not being able to put it down.

“I don’t need to chase you to make you scream my name.” 🥵🥵

Yess - I’m loving this love after loss trope!

Not me crying already at 74%!

“You’ll never be rid of me. I would never allow it. I would stay in the shadows if you told me to, but I would always be there to hold you up.”

Fucking finally. It took them long enough!

Oh no!!! I’ll be so heart broken if this ends badly.

“The nobleman refused to give back what he took, so we took blood from him and his family. I revelled in their combined scents of fear. It was intoxicating and seasoned the blood just right.”

Shadow Creatures by Medallio Green is a spicy fantasy novel around the life of Malía, the queen of the hybrid army. An army of vampire-humans and werewolf-humans. And this is my review as an ARC reader.

The story is set against the backdrop of a war between the hybrids and The Order (led by Malía's own mother, who’s against the existence of hybrids).

Even though it’s the second book in the series, it felt like a complete story on its own. It follows multiple timelines. And much of the story is narrated as a memory of Malia, as flashbacks.

The book is filled with violent battles, bloodlust scenes and extensive gore. In between, there are intense, spicy sequences. The writing style is elegant and lavish, with just enough visuals.

Malía is strong and resilient, and I was awed by her emotional control.

Her struggles, loss and love, everything has been weaved into the story seamlessly. The supporting characters, their relationships with Malia, and their contributions to the story were all well-planned and connected. Nothing felt forced.

Everything felt a bit complicated in the beginning, and it did take me some time to get the hang of who is who in the story.

However, once you’re immersed, there’s no turning back. Lovers of magical fantasy and paranormal romance will love this book.

Just make sure you can handle violence and blood.

I was fortunate to have been chosen to be part of the book tour on social media for Shadow Creatures in exchange for an honest review.

I hadn’t read book one so I was a little nervous approaching this book since I know sometimes starting a series with book two can get confusing. That being said I never felt lost while reading this book and found myself unable to put it down. Sometimes when books jump between the past and present or switch up character pov’s the plot gets lost but I never once felt like the plot was being lost in this book and I found myself enjoying those aspects more than I normally would. Overall I loved this book and can't wait to recommend it to everyone I know.

I got an arc, but my rating/review are my own!

Not sure yet what i think!

Like book 1, we have present and past, i think this book has way more past then book 1.
So we get go know more about how her relationships happened. And know more things about here that we didn't get until now.

There are those who are born to rule. But others are forged by fire.

She is the Queen of the hybrid army, and as the Queen, she carries the weight of leading her people against The Order – the ruthless regime who is led by her own mother. She's consumed by the thought of destroying the Queen's kind from existence.

This story isn't one of slipping into the shadows and hiding or running away from all the battles the Queen and her army face.

The queen stands ready, ready to fight, ready to bleed, and most of all, she's ready to win.

Every scar the Queen carries tells a story, a story of every battle she's fought, and every battle that's bringing her closer to her final vengeance.

The Queen feels the darkness threatening to consume her. And now she has to confront not only her past, her pain, and all the family bonds that cut the deepest.

The Queen knows her heart as cold as stone gives her the strength she needs to bear the burden of war – and turn it and mold it into a weapon.

I loved the tropes in this book: Fated Mates, Vampire-Human Hybrids, Magic, Witches, Werewolves, and Multi POV.

I am in love with The Hybrid Series by Medallio Green. I loved the first book, and the second book lived up to all my expectations. Maybe it's just because I have always loved vampires, humans, werewolves, and witch stories, and it's all here in this series, I couldn't help but fall in love with it. The edition of the series, it goes between two various phases, the past and the present.

In the present, we find Amalia who has been prisoned. A witch is fighting to get memories from Amalia, and memories that the witch thinks are important for information. The war between vampires and Amalia's team, the vampire-human hybrids, has been going on. Amalia, the hybrid, was born to be a vampire-human hybrid. Together with her brother Amalia , he started a war against their mom. The woman who is the leader of the vampires.
The we see the past, it's the story of Amalia and Philip and how they choose to get married. And it seems to be more than a marriage of an alliance, one to unite Amalia's soldiers and Philip's Kingdom. The passion, spice, and chemistry between Amalia and Phillip just jump off the page.

I loved the way that Philip accepts who Amalia is the way she is and still chooses to be with her no matter what, and it's such a beautiful and admirable thing. I just loved it. And Amalia, she is not only beautiful she is also intelligent, she's strong, brave, and even possessive. I just loved her, and I wish I could be just a little bit more like her.

Amalia does have her fated mate. David. And I have to say that I like him for Amalia just as much as I do Philip. They have a bond that is strong and protective, and their chemistry is just as spicy. And for Amalia having both David and Philip is good as the day will come that Amalia will lose Philip as he is human, so the day will come when David will have to console Amalia and help her rebuild her new life with out Philp.

David and Amalia have eternity together as they are both vampires as I love that they will have each other till their final death. I love how Shadow Creatures helps to show us that we can love again after we lose one love, even if it is the hardest, scariest thing you can ever do.

Review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Shadow Creatures is Book Two of The Hybrid series by Medallio Green. This is a connected series with book two continuing off from Young Blood. I enjoyed Shadow Creatures and felt like the series got better with it's continuation. Medallio Green created a fast-paced, action-packed story centering around our deadly fierce FMC Malia, but also gave us pieces of her romance within her trapped memory flashbacks. Greens words created a brutal yet sensual world. The first half of the book is centered around Malia's trapped memories where we get to see her relationship build with Philip one of our MMCs but she must relive these beautiful moments while knowing the true end of it all, being both a blessing and pure torture. Following Malia's past love story with Philip was an emotional, beautiful, and raw experience; to have to live through some of her most treasured and pained moments over again.

The second part of the book hits us with all the action of the surrounding war Malia and her army are facing against The Order. I feel the war itself came secondary to Malia and Philip's story but was a great addition to the overall story. Some parts felt a little accelerated but all in all I enjoyed the storyline that was created. I really enjoyed getting glimpses into Malias past with her being trapped inside her memories, I thought that was a really interesting aspect of the story how it would jump in and out of her memories, but you definitely need to pay close attention because when you'd jump from one to another it was fast.

If you enjoy Paranormal Romantasy with dark themes, and magic backdroped in a epic war between Vampires, Werewolves, Hybrids, Witches, and The Order then take a closer look at Shadow Creatures.

I am reviewing this on my own

I must say, I really enjoyed this book! this is book #2 in The Hyrbid series. I will say though, I didn't get a chance to read book #1 but I still really enjoyed this. I didn't feel like I was really missing any information except at the very beginning of the book.

Malia and her brother, Theo went through a lot in their childhood at the hands of their mother. but she is still fighting and still strong. she pushes through hardships and trauma and only comes out stronger in the end. she is the queen of The Hybrid army and has been fighting against The Order that is led by her mom.

this book is dark with fighting and you will enjoy this book if you like vampires, werewolves, fated mates (and also Twilight). the descriptions used in the book make you feel like you are actually there witnessing what is happening throughout the book. the author has written a great plot and story line and the writing pulls you in and once you start reading you can't stop. I also really enjoyed the side characters and I don't think it felt like they were added just to be added. they are important to the story line and to the FMC. I also really enjoyed the fated mates aspect as well.

tropes:
-fated mates
-vampires & werewolves
-paranormal romance

definitely pick up this book and give it a try. you won't regret it!! I myself, will be reading book #1 and I can't wait to see where this series heads!

MALIA

tropes:
fated mates, vampires & werewolves, paranormal romance, touch her/him and die, open door spice

This is the second book in an interconnected series but can be read as a standalone.
The way the author starts the book and progresses is unique and well-written.
Malia is a hybrid (half-human, half-vampire) strong character and I really admire how she leads her group of hybrids. She is an immortal and has lived for centuries.
She is forced to relive some of her worst memories during torture sessions. This is how we get to know how she ended up in the situation and what the result was for some of her relationships.
The book also focuses on the lesson of moving on from the past, grief, nostalgia, and longing.
I really like how she found closure and comfort towards the partner she had lost.
Her relationship with Davin, her imprint, and their complex relationship development are there. And I really like how it progresses and they finally let their guard and fears down.
Her relationship with her siblings is also shown, which is very special, I really liked how they were there for each other and even fought when they had a disagreement and could freely express themselves.
The contrast between the past and the present is intriguing and easy to follow. It pained me as a reader to read about the past when I had an idea of what would happen. It is very much evident how pain and distress she feels regarding it.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I was so excited to be selected for an ARC of this book!

Malía is the queen of the vampire-human hybrid army. Her army seeks to destroy The Order, an organization of vampires trying to eliminate hybrids. The Order has captured Malía and plans to peer into her memories to find a way to win the war. Malía must confront her past while finding a way to protect her mind from The Order. But even if she can break the curse The Order has placed her under, the war still wages on. Can she face her past, reconcile her decisions, accept her fate, and still bring down The Order?

This book immediately immerses the reader in the world of vampires, werewolves, witches, humans, and hybrids. The world and its characters are LARGELY fleshed out through flashbacks (I’d estimate at least 2/3 of the book is told through Malía’s memories). I haven’t read many books that told the story this way, so it took a bit to acclimate to the narrative. I would have liked more world building to have a better understanding of the different magical beings as well as the relationships between the characters. Malía’s past relationship with her human husband, Prince Phillip, was well-written, but it didn’t seem like her imprint relationship (basically the vampire version of soul mates) was given the same attention. There was a ton going on though, so readers definitely won’t get bored!

I love the vampire and human stories. They are so interesting. So the story goes between two phases. The past and the present.

In present, Amalía was prisoned and a witch was trying to get memories for important information. A war between vampires and her team has been going on. She is a hybrid who is born between a vampire and a human. She and her brother has started the war against their Mom who is the leader of vampires.

In past, it’s shows about the story of Amalía and Philip who decide to get married for the alliance between her soilders and his kingdom. And the chemistry between them is so hot. The way Philip accepted who she was and still choose to be with her is such a admiring thing. And Amalía is the strongest character I have ever seen. And also the possessive person too🤭😩💗

But there is also David who is her fated mate. And he is good too. Their bond and the chemistry is lovely. I kinda like Amalia with Philip most but okay with David too. Since unlike us , she lives for thousands years and more whereas Philip is a human. I always know that their relationship is gonna end at one point.

And since David and Amalia are vampires and they have eternity together is also lovable and they had each other till the death. I love the thing how we die if our partner dies. But it’s also scary and sad thing too. And the way David was so possessive and protective towards Amalía is so cute.

Thisss Is a game-changing (vampire / werewolfs )romance that will leave you breathless! Malia(She is so freaking emotionally strong) , the queen of the hybrid army, is a force to be reckoned with. Her strength, resilience, and emotional control are awe-inspiring.

The story is masterfully woven, with a perfect blend of action, drama, and romance.💕
The themes of identity, justice are deeply explored, making this book a true reading experience.

I loved how the author delved into Malia’s past, revealing her struggles, loss, and love. The character development is exceptional, with each character’s story adding depth to the narrative.
I personally Loved Every Character of the storyy!!

The paranormal ( vampire / Hybird) romance elements are expertly handled, with a slow-burn romance that will leave you breathless. I mean the romance Touch was perfect 😍!
The tropes of fated mates, vampires, werewolves, and paranormal romance are all perfectly executed.

Overall, Shadow Creatures is a must-read for fans of Twilight and paranormal romance. It’s a spicy, action-packed, and emotionally charged ride that will leave you eager for more! This book is definitely going on my favorites shelf and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a captivating vampire, Werewolf romance!!

First off I want to say that this is only the second ARC I've ever requested, and I am so unbelievably happy that I did! Having never read anything by the author, I can honestly say Medallio Green's writing kept me so captivated the entire time! Not only is this book so well written, but it kept my on the edge of my seat the entire time with the plot and dynamic between the characters (not to mention that the spice is HOT!)

Initially when I began reading I questioned if I was missing any crucial information regarding characters or world building, because the reader is immediately thrown into the action, but after reading a few pages I was caught up and super invested in the plot! (DISCLAIMER: this was an issue on my part because I did not realize this was a second book in a series, but knowing this now I will be going back to read the first book and continuing on with the series!)

If you're a fan of strong-willed female main characters, emotional depth, extremely well written spice, and a story that will keep you hooked from start to finish, then Shadow Creatures is an absolute must-read.

Overall, I strongly recommend if you're into magic and dark worlds you should add this to your TBR! I strongly believe you won't regret it!

3/5🌶️

Malía, the Queen of the Hybrid Army is still fighting against The Order led by her mother. Malía has faced centuries of pain and torment and must face it head first in order to win the battle. Malías character is beautiful, she is a strong woman facing centuries of pain and loss. She is forced to relive the past loss of her loved ones and learn to accept herself. She is the definition of a strong FMC. Davin is also an exceptional character along with Malías brother Theo. All the characters in this novel have experienced their own hardships and are still fighting against the order for peace. The plot itself is very dark themed, the fighting scenes are exceptional. Overall, if you are a fan of fantasy, fated mates, vampires & werewolves, and tragic pasts this is a must read for you.

The FMC Malia is such a badass, I loved reading how much her character grew throughout, despite the losses she had, she kept pushing forward. She’s a leader by nature and she very much speaks what’s on her mind which we love a strong independent woman! There were moments this book had me laughing, angry, and crying, I could literally picture the events like a movie playing in my head. I loved that there was so many other characters as well that weren’t just space fillers, they each had a roll and the Author described them perfectly. From Phillip, to Davin as the MMC’s they had such a strong pull, their characters both different but both strong descriptions of the men we imagine as book boyfriends 😊. Their love for the FMC was unmatched, centuries apart but Malia was very deserving of the love they offered. If you love magic, and dark worlds, witches, and vampires, and werewolves I definitely recommend this book.

Shadow Creatures, the second book in The Hybrid Series, follows Malía, a vampire hybrid and Queen of the hybrid army who fights against the Order—a genocidal organization set on eliminating all hybrids. Which just so happens to be led by her abusive mother.

This series has been so different from others I’ve read in this genre. While the story involves fated mates, we almost receive this information in reverse—we begin with the knowledge of who Malía’s mate is and that they’ve spent their lives together, but now we are seeing their story unfold through her memories while being imprisoned by the enemy.

This method of narration was also used in book #1 (Young Blood), and while the flashback-style of writing isn’t my personal preference, I can appreciate it uniqueness and it’s purpose in this story and think others would enjoy it! (One of the benefits of this style is that the action in the story starts immediately, so if you’re not the slow burn type, this series is for you!)

If you’re a fan of fated mates and badass FMC’s, check out Shadow Creatures.

Thank you to @bloomandbeyondpr and @medalliogreen for gifting me an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review 🖤

The story is very interesting. It’s rare to find a vampire fantasy that feels totally new so it was super refreshing to read. The first half of this book is in single first person point of view and told through a combination of flashbacks and current timeline, which can be a bit confusing if you aren’t aware so… be aware. ˙ᵕ˙ The second half of the book is in dual point of view which shocked me when it happened, but I do love a dual POV moment, and I connected a lot deeper to the characters in this section. The characters are dimensional and deeply thought out, which makes a story like this so compelling overall I enjoyed it. Rating 3.25 stars because of the timeline confusion in the beginning, I struggled to get into the story for a good 40% because I kept having to re read sections, and rapid time changes pulled me out of the story. I personally prefer if jumps in the timeline are separated chapters because it feels less jarring, but that is all personal preference. I did receive this as a free advanced copy, but after reading I can confidently say I would not have been upset to pay for it.

Without spoilers and strictly speaking of tropes and structure here are my thoughts:
This book gives us a unique perspective of the story timeline by in featuring flashbacks in the first chunk of the book through Malia's POV, which I personally enjoyed kind of like a puzzle and it made me revisit Malia's previous chapters to put the pieces together and appreciate Malia's experiences more.
Following that it splits into dual POVs which I can safely say I also enjoy because who doesn't want to be in the head of more than one character?
Connecting with the characters in the story was easy and lead to some big feelings during a few moments.
At almost 300 pages (reading my digital copy on my phone while out and about) it's easy to lose track of time and want to "read just one more chapter" to find out what happens next.
There are some very emotionally charged scenes that keep you learning about their world, plenty of Malia being more than strong and fierce as our FMC Queen, and also Malia being told that she's ALLOWED to be happy. Something I don't think nearly enough strong women in our lives (or in ourselves) are told.

Okay, Shadow Creatures took me on a wild ride! Even though it's the second book in The Hybrid Series, I jumped in without reading the first one, and I never felt lost. Medallio Green does a great job weaving a world full of vampires, witches, and werewolves without overloading you with info.

What really stood out to me was the main character—she’s strong, determined, and leading an army, which made for some seriously epic moments. The mix of action, romance, and supernatural drama kept me flipping pages. Plus, the pacing is fast, so there’s never a dull moment.

That said, it did take me a little while to fully get into the story, and I wished some of the side characters had more depth. But once I was in, I was in. If you love a blend of action, fantasy, and a fierce heroine, this one is definitely worth picking up!

Would I recommend it? Absolutely—especially if you're into fast-paced paranormal reads with a strong female lead.

Medallio. Green. What have you done. You have actively broken, pieced back together and smashed my emotions.

First of all, Philip. I. Need. More. I need a whole movie just on this love story. I don’t cry when I read books (I know I have problems, so does my therapist) but this is one of the few where I got misty eyed.

Second, the action in here starts on page one and doesn’t stop, not even at the end. My eyes kept reading faster than my brain because I had to know what happened next. It’s just a creative conglomerate of so many sub plots and timelines that came together beautifully so create this whirlwind story.

What’s even better is that this can be read as a standalone or as a series. I would definitely recommend it as a series because you get so much more world building and backstory, but’s it’s great either way. I need more, like yesterday. I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS MEDALLIO!

If you're a fan of Twilight's vampire-human hybrids and werewolves but crave more action and emotional depth, this book is a must-read
Amalia leads the hybrid army against The Order—a ruthless regime led by her own mother. This isn't just a fight for survival; it's a battle for identity and justice. All the characters add to the story!! Initially I thought I’d like this book because it has similar concepts to Twilight and I was a die hard Twilight gal. Anyway, for me? This blew Twilight out of the water!!! I was 3% in when action kicked off. ⚔️ and I just knew from there I was gonna love the book. Then it progressed and the reason behind the war became unveiled and we get introduced to all these wonderful characters along the way who only add to the story. It was a full on experience! 🤗

Thank you Bloom & Beyond Pr for the advanced readers copy!

Shadow Creatures is a fast-paced, action-packed continuation of Young Blood in Medallio Green’s Hybrid Series. The plot is deep, filled with twists and turns that kept me hooked, though at times, I had to reread certain parts to fully grasp everything. Malia, the fierce and deadly FMC, is a standout character, and the mix of her action-packed journey with her emotional romance, told through trapped memory flashbacks, added depth to the story.

While I wished for a bit more spice, the book’s brutal yet sensual world-building shines. Green creates an immersive universe full of vampires, werewolves, witches, humans, and hybrids that pulls you in right from the start. Overall, Shadow Creatures is a gripping and enjoyable read that builds on the strengths of its predecessor, leaving me excited for the next book in the series.

OMG this was a great book. It was a page turner and the suspense was intense and insane. I was on the edge of the my seat and I couldn't even put it down. Amalia and Davin chemistry was sexual tension and the physical attraction was mind blowing of passion. They couldn't even fight the temptation any longer in this moment. Danger was around the corner and they faced it together as their love was forbidden on a level of romance of life and death. They couldn't resist each other as the love they will creature at this time forbidden romance. Wild mixture of lives and love of madness and tension. Will his true mate ends up together in this world.

I highly recommend this book and you won't be disappointed.

I loved how the first half of the book is set up. We are told Malia’s story through her memories which she’s forced to relive by her captors. We see her relationship with Philip blossom. This was so emotional, knowing how things were going to end but still watching it all unfold. Would you rather love for what little time you have or give it up knowing the pain it will cause?

The second half of this book was fast-paced action. Since I didn’t read book 1 this felt a little rushed, but I was still able to follow what was going on. I wanted to spend a little more time with the other characters and events. The overarching war was overshadowed by Malia and Philips story.

Overall 4 ⭐️. I really enjoyed the characters, the action scenes were descriptive and I liked the battles and magic. This reminded me a bit of Underworld (which was a favorite when I was young).

3.75 stars.
I have to admit, I didn't read book one, so I was a little concerned I would be lost reading this. I was pleasantly surprised to find that that was not the case!
The book was dark and gripping, with the fighting, fated mates, vampires, and werewolves (which are all my favourite things!)
The structure of this book was amazing, having the main characters 'trapped' in their memories was super cool, but it also helped my connect with this book and the jumps between past and present and the pov switching.
I am now off to read book one!

Tropes:
✨️Fated mates
✨️Paranormal Romance
✨️Werewolves
✨️Vampires
✨️Fighting

Thank you to Medallio Green and Bloom and Beyond PR for this ARC….now for the honest review!
I really, really enjoyed this book! My heart was hurting for Malia and her brother, Theo but Malia didn’t hide in the corner, she chose to stand up and fight against her oppressors. Her growth in this book was so beautiful to read about.
If you enjoy fighting, vampires, werewolves, and fated mates, this one is for you. It has some darkness to it as well. I was absolutely pulled in from the beginning and didn’t put it down once I started.

** ARC REVIEWER **

This book really does have it all!
I haven’t read many books that include a variety of vampire/hybrids/witches etc. So I thoroughly enjoyed following Malia’s story after reading the first in this series before beginning.
I would highly recommend both books in this series so far and very much anticipate the next instalment!
I would have enjoyed a tad more spice BUT it doesn’t take away from the quality of the story itself - just personal preference.
Overall, I really enjoyed reading and will continue to follow this author & series.

Shadow creatures was beautifully written! I may not have read book 1 but this story caught my attention so fast. I just couldn’t get enough of it. I felt possibly every emotion. Love, sadness, happiness. I just couldn’t get enough of Malia and Philip and reading how the scene played out just broke me. One thing for sure is I will definitely read book one and other books this author has written and will write in the future
