Rate this book
From coast to coast, every choice matters, and every second counts in the 100th Run…Anthony Franklin loses time when a new world boss emerges, but every setback comes with a silver lining. The Dealer offers him a weapon that could change everything but only if he collects the necessary materials to forge it. With his friends handling his duties, Anthony seizes the chance to go off-script.

Traveling across the United States by train, Anthony races to gather what he needs. From frigid Washington to interdimensional Arizona to an invasion from the Atlantic, his itinerary leaves no room for error. Failure to complete his quest could plunge the 100th Run into anarchy and doom billions.

Anthony's escapades take him on a trip across America, facing ever bigger threats and ginormous monsters. His team are off doing other stuff with Kayla keeping everything under control whilst he is away. The Dealer promises to make a new weapon for him provided he can gather the necessary parts for this, but the risks he takes are incredible. The administrators keep placing the most difficult of challenges his way, still not sure who he is but realising that he is a regressor, some even calling him a glitch in the system. With Sara, his angelic patron always looking out for him, Anthony sets out to defeat his monstrously enormous foes, who have nicknamed him the antagonist. I love this LitRPG adventure, which even though is Anthony's 100th run still keeps him on his toes as more and more challenges are being thrown his way, and surprises still occur, like who killed the monster he had turned up to kill!! Onward to his next adventure in book 6.

That was! Soooooooo much! Fun!!! And I loved it! Surprisingly I don't usually like books featuring Angels, but this book pulls my heart strings! I adore Sara, Esaraphelscion’s to us, but to Anthony she's Sara his Angel, his love, and his Patron. I love the Anthony! And this is his final Run, because of a glitch in the system he's time looped, so he already knows what he's up against, inorder to save the human race. This time he went all out to power up his team! Leaving them with instructions and in charge of taking out the monsters he'd normally hafta fight. He's left 'em on the Angel-train, while he hops an Amtrac soloing cross-country in order to take out the scenario bosses that he normally wouldn't have had the time for... Whooohoo!!! I did promise that it was gonna be fun!
So, hop aboard and join Anthony on his hellerride!

If there’s one thing I hate, it’s a dream where you know it’s a dream but the protagonist doesn’t. Like, you know the story hasn’t ended because there’s a whole book in front of you. What, is the rest of it blank? So why waste everyone’s time? Oh, nothing, that just popped into my head for some reason. Anyway, so these have settled into a comfortable groove mainly, and if you like the others then you’ll have no problems here. Well. Maybe one, hypothetically. But you could just skim through it, swearing, if that did happen, and then in this imaginary scenario the book would get back to normal and you’d enjoy the rest of it. I’d suggest.

I’ve been enjoying this series so, so much. The chaos Anthony and his friends get into time and again constantly boggle the mind. It’s refreshing to see how they manage the adversity the system throws at them whenever possible.

I love the way Flossindune has set up this series from the get-go. Urban fantasy mixed with gamelit elements, what’s not to love about it? If you’re a gamer, this is a series you’ll enjoy from the moment you turn the first page. I kid you not!

Anthony and his friends have had so much stacked against them. They’ve made do with everything at their disposal, all in being able to revert their lives into some semblance of order. I can’t wait to see what comes next for them. The book’s ending, I so wasn’t expecting it, but it’s what makes a reader come back for more. More, please!

Big changes!

The potential future seems to be going fully off the rails here, but Anthony freaking Franklin has shit locked down. Starting down the barrel of a future with too many unknowns for a 100th run he presses on. I'm excited to see how the team saves the world in the face of such uncertainty.

Having been a while since I read the previous book, I was a little fuzzy on how it ended, so when this started I was thinking the author had changed directions, and I was a little disappointed - it just didn't seem as fun... until it was. By the very nature of the premise of the story, it has somewhat been a story on rails with enough variations to make the outcomes not 100% a given for the MC. In this book, the train jumped the tracks and then accelerated to make up for it. I'm still enjoying the premise and how the author is handling it. I can see the end of the run approaching and am not sure whether there is just one book remaining or several, but I'm already looking forward to seeing what's next.

Adventure train

Touring the system apocalypse by train. These keep getting better. This round the MC splits for some solo adventures. I find the interactions within the guild my favorite parts of these books. Five books in and still interesting.

Another solid entry. The dream was obviously a dream and felt like it dragged on a little too long. There was a lot of action throughout the book and a lot of stuff went down. A lot of advancement occurred too.
