This book gives a good introduction and common sense of trail running with nicely summarized details over almost every aspect of it. But if you want any real details, training plans, techniques, and exercises, you should look for another one.
Great for a beginner like myself! One start off because I wish they had an updated version. Some of the advice seems a tad bit outdated which is understandable for a book written 20+ years ago, otherwise most info was great!
Very broad coverage of many trail running issues, sometimes pretty specific advice but very little in other areas.
The information might be outdated, there weren’t any references later than the year 2000. So, I’m on the hunt for more recent studies about moisture wicking clothes and heat exhaustion, and would double check the blister treatment method given.
