Meet Me On The Mountainside
Alyssa, being the "grinch" of the family, always runs to the Briarwood Ski Resort every Christmas. While she isn't a fan of the green and red candy canes and gumdrops that the holiday season has become known for, she does love snow and the smell of pine trees while drinking a warm beverage by the fire. This year was no different. Arriving the day before Christmas Eve, she comes ready for two relaxing weeks. That is until a casual conversation with a hot man at the bar somehow snowballs into a fake engagement with a practical stranger, who happens to be everything she has ever wished for. Now she needs to figure out a way to not fall for her fake fiance while keeping up the lie from her nosy ex. It's crazy the people you meet on the mountainside.

Short and fun!
Was it completely unrealistic? Absolutely. But it was a quick escape from reality with a cute, fun plot line.
This is my second novella read from this author and both have made me smile with their “wouldn’t it be nice” feelings.
If you’re after a holiday novella to make you smile, with a bit of spice, this is an excellent choice!

This was a cute lil Christmas novella about a fake engagement between Alyssa and Logan. Short and fun, definitely unrealistic but just enjoyed how quickly they moved through the wedding prep like within a week 😂

This was such a cosy, feel-good read - I absolutely loved it. Meet Me on the Mountainside had all the comfort-romance vibes and I flew through it.
I adored how caring and attentive the male lead was from the very beginning. He genuinely listened to her, noticed her, and made her feel safe - which honestly made the romance even sweeter. I also loved that she wasn’t swept away by money or status, actually wanted the opposite; it felt refreshing to see a connection built on emotional safety and understanding rather than flashiness.
The relationship moved quickly, yes, but in a fairytale, comforting way that just works for this story. It felt intentional - like two people who simply found their person at the right time. The communication between them was such a highlight, and I loved how open and honest she was about her feelings.
The whole book had such a cosy, wintery, small-town feel, and the spice was lovely - warm, intimate, and perfectly placed without taking over the story.
Overall, this was a comforting, heart-warming read that felt like wrapping yourself up in a blanket with a hot drink. Definitely a five-star read for me. 🎄⛷️

This Christmas novella was *everything* I needed—sweet, spicy, and full of holiday cheer! I instantly connected with Alyssa and her annual tradition of escaping to recenter herself, something I’d totally love to do. But this year, her plans take an unexpected turn when a random encounter leads to something much more. This book has that perfect mix of insta-love, one bed, and a touch of angst. It’s a quick, fun read that’ll leave you smiling and ready for the holidays!

Meet Me On The Mountainside by Katie A. Perez was the perfect holiday book. I would give this infinity stars, but I will settle for 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. The spice was wonderfully written, tasteful, and so much fun.
Logan, the MMC is the man of my dreams for sure. Someone who puts his girl first and protects her even after just meeting her. He is a wealthy man of mystery who leads with his heart when it comes to Alyssa.
Alyssa, the FMC sweet woman who is a down to Earth, caring, thoughtful, and playful person. The relationship she left is the total opposite of the relationship and future Logan is offering her. Can she trust her heart?
This book all the way through made me think of how I hope to find a man who sees me the way Logan saw Alyssa. Is love at first sight only for books, or can it happen in real life?

Such a quick and cute read! I love the instant chemistry and the openness about what each of them felt on basically day 2. This gave me all the good christmas vibes as well as the romantic ones. This read will get you in the holiday spirit for sure!

Talk about insta-lust/ insta-love!
This was just the most wholesome (with some spice) book I’ve ever read.
Logan, the walking green flag, was seriously the most perfect man you could ever imagine. He was so kind and sweet and constantly making sure Alyssa was okay with everything that was going on between them. Ugh, I ate that up!!!
What started as a single woman wanting a vacation during the holiday week, turned into a fake engagement, thanks to a random stranger, when her ex showed up sporting his new woman.
This is such a good holiday novella and totally worth the read this holiday season! ❤️

I quite enjoyed this Christmas novella. Alyssa is so me, I’d love to get away from the noise for the holidays and go up to the mountains. I hated Bryan. I thought it was so weird for him to show up the way he did trying to get a reaction out of Alyssa, I’m glad she did not give him one. I love that Logan took the initiative to make up the fake relationship to help Alyssa. Now I need a full-length story for them, I need him to meet the parents and the brother who called him a “f*ckboy” on speaker lol.

Oh such a cute book!!!! This is the perfect winter/Christmas sweet quick read. I could not put it down. An instant love, fake dating turned real, small forced proximity, one bed, romcom is the perfect mix. The sweet story of a MMC the comes to the rescue of the FMC. The love story that came from that one chance encounter was magical. Now, just because this is a sweet romcom does not mean there is no spice. The spice is hot even with staying on the cleaner side. I so enjoyed this read.

This Is a very cute holiday novella, not my typical dark read at all, but this one was great to read. Logan, the good guy, helps out our beautiful Alyssa by being in a fake relationship so she can feel better after running into the ex and his new girlfriend. Things then start heating up from there and the spice really spices. Cute, smexy, wholesome, contemporary, and refreshing all describe this little slice of heaven. Pick it up because Katie Perez really did it with this one, you won't be disappointed.

The way these to met by chance and in a short, short space of time fell in love. The chemistry between this two is super smexy
Going from a fake relationship to a real one was actually the sweetest thing I’ve read.
These two characters are absolute sweethearts and I’m pleased this is how things went for them.

So I had a few things that made me stumble while reading. The biggest three were the quote “We are a team” or “We were such a good team” used twice has an unfortunate duality the ex uses it and it’s gritty or forceful. When the new fiancé uses it and it’s happy and supportive. I wish there were more descriptors about the two main characters. I’d like to know what they both look like more when I picture them. Also no condom? Otherwise the smut was great, the book was exactly as intended short and sweet.

This one got me lol. I’m officially a sap! I’m not usually the Hallmark movie, love at first sight, cutesy holiday books type but I adored this from the start!! I do wish we would’ve found out more about Logan, like what he does or at least letting her know how much money he really does have but it was just a novella so I know it isn’t that deep. It was a sweet, quick little holiday read & definitely made me smile ❤️💚

I love forced proximity and fake dating, so this book really hit the spot.

This is a cute little meet-cute story. Love at first sight (for the most part). One bed, crazy ex/Stalker, a few spicy scenes. I'm still super curious about what he does for a living. That was never mentioned. The phone conversations with her brother made me chuckle quite a bit. It's a short story that takes an hour or so to read. A little bit of angst/plot which helps the story. It's worth taking the time to read if you enjoy cutesy stories.

This book moved pretty quickly, and by that I mean, it was a quick read and it felt as such. It took me a bit to get into the book because it felt choppy in the beginning. This felt like a second draft that could have been better. The MMC was throwing green flags all over the place and I think this book felt very comforting for someone who has lost their faith in men. Also I know this review is all over the place... it's 630 in the morning and I actually finished this book like 5 days ago.

Great holiday Novella
Saw a post in a reading group by a PA. So glad that I immediately hopped over to kindle and downloaded. The characters are so sweet and straightforward. The plot a little predictable but still satisfying. Definitely what I needed to break up my latest dark romance binge.

Katie Perez did it again! This is a short but sweet story about love at first sight! The instant Alyssa and Logan meet you know there is more there. This is such a heartwarming story with such attention to detail and you don't feel like you are missing out since its a shorter story. Can't wait to read more from her!

This was an absolutely beautiful story. This Christmas romance was everything you could want, it was cute, sweet and spicy. With some humour, healing and lots of holiday cheer.
The spice wasn’t over the top… it was written beautifully and tasteful.
What start out as a fake engagement, born out of necessity, blossoms into a touching romance. That really hit me in the feels.

absolutely perfect
This is the perfect novella for the holidays, it’s not Christmas threw up everywhere but instead the perfect cosy love story that makes you want to find a cabin on the mountains to escape to.
Katie wrapped the story up perfectly and truly knows how to write them 👏🏻

Just finished this novella. It was so sweet. Our MMC falls 1st and hard. Our FMC goes to the mountains for a quiet Christmas. Well when she sees her ex boyfriend she plays along with a strangers effort to save her from being solo on a trip while the ex is there with a new girlfriend.
