Hello, and welcome to my Goodreads page!

I’m the author of Salem’s Secret: A Haunting Halloween Tale and Beyond the Cracked Mirror, two young adult novels that explore eerie mysteries and thrilling adventures. Now, I’m stepping into the world of crime fiction with a brand-new series, Blake & Turner. This series introduces two wildly opposite women — a pairing so unlikely that you just know things are bound to go sideways!

My love for writing grew from my passion for reading. Ever since I can remember, I’ve been jotting down stories (many of which ended up in the trash!) — but now I’m excited to share them with you. I hope you’ll dive into these worlds and find them as captivating as I do.

You can also find me on social media at m._a._ferguson.

Happy reading!

I bought this book on Amazon, and I’ll be donating it to our local library in NB for more to enjoy!! I could have easily read this in one day/one sitting, had I not had a thousand other things to do that kept me from reading! I really enjoyed this book! This one is about the murder of a pharmaceutical business man. Suspense-thriller-who dunnit genre. Like the first book of this series, the chapters were just the right length. Very easy to read, no unnecessary details, and I was kept interested throughout. I really enjoyed hearing about the returning characters and getting updates on their lives - from where things left off in the first book. Again, the book cover does not do the story justice. I did find a typo or two (no biggy). There are also 3 or 4 spots where the same words are repeated in two different sentences; not sure if that is for emphasis or not, but it did make me go back to see if I had read the same sentence twice. I hadn’t - it was written that way. There is also a bonus chapter, which I thought was an epilogue, but after reading it I’m pretty sure it’s a preview of the sequel (which looks very interesting!). I had to take a minute to separate what I just read from the story’s unexpected ending. Regardless of my observations, it took absolutely nothing away from the story. I did find this one a little less intense/captivating than the first book - until about 3/4 of the way, when the thriller action really took off. I did not see the ending coming at all!!! It was gut wrenching and I really appreciate these kind of endings. I am really psyched that this author is local and I will continue to support her work! I highly recommend you pick up this book!! I am really looking forward to the next one, which I have already bought (and will also donate to the library!). Enjoy!!

Welp… book #2 didn’t disappoint. To say everything went up in flames is an understatement!!

The CEO of a pharmaceutical company is murdered and this unravels a twisted web of lies and corruption. I liked the evolution of the female main characters! Blake is doing freelance journalism again & Turner is gunning for a promotion to detective 💪

At about 80% of the book, I thought everything was tied up nicely… but it was super suspicious that there were still 50 pages… the last 50 pages almost had more action than the rest of the book 😳 Ouff my nerves!!!

That ending 🤯😬👀
