This was an interesting book with an interesting premise - Mrs. Claus is the first out-of-towner to marry into the Claus family and is now THE Mrs. Claus herself.

I haven't read the other books in this series, but this is a good start. I really hope we see more of Gilbert, the elf. I'm hoping the first book in the series puts a few of the puzzle pieces together as to how Mrs. Claus became Mrs. Claus (specifically) and are others allowed to know about it? It seems that Candy Cove Hollow is in London, but can the outside world get access to it? Can Mrs. Claus go out into London or anywhere else?

Can't wait to see!!

Cute little story. There is a new Mrs. Claus in town...she's only been married to Santa (the new one) for eight months, and people in the neighborhood aren't too sure of her yet. Her cooking skills are not good, so she enrolls in a baking class. On her very first morning, a woman who is just plain mean, causes a fuss, then faints. In trying to help, Mrs. Claus takes her to the hospital where she dies. AS the last person to be with her, she is placed under suspicion. The Sherrif gives her and her elf friend until Christmas Eve to find the killer, or he will arrest her. Can she do it?

This was such a cute Christmas mystery! I wanted to adopt Gilbert myself.

The new Mrs. Claus has found herself I quite the predicament with the murder of Donna Rumples. Mrs. Claus is Candy Cane Hollow’s number one suspect. Because her husband is Santa Claus and there isn’t exactly enough evidence, she is given til Christmas Eve to solve the murder or she will be booked on the charge. It soon becomes apparent no one in town liked Donna… well almost no one. And everyone could be a suspect!

This is a fun book! I'm a nut for anything Christmas, and this definitely did not disappoint. The new Mrs. Claus and an elf friend from baking school team up to solve a crime in Candy Cane Hollow. If they don't solve it by Christmas Day, she'll be locked up as a suspect. Time is running out. Can they solve it in time? Guess you have to read it too.
And I'm going to read more in the series (A Christmas Cozy Mystery Series).

I actually give this 3.5 stars. I had found this on fb last year and was a download on Bookfunnel. It is a cute story regarding the new Mrs Claus and how she and an elf have to find the "real" murderer or else she will be charged with the crime. Maybe it was my copy, but for as short as this story is, there were just so many grammatical errors, that sometimes messed with the flow of this story. I will check out another story by this author and see if it was just maybe this particular story.

This prequel to the Christmas Cozy Mystery Series is an absolute delight. Learn more about Mrs Claus and how she met house elf Gilbert. Mixed in a murder mystery they have to solve or go down for. Can they solve it before Christmas Eve or will the killer get away with murder? Fun, fun story. Highly recommend it!

Fun and Fabulous! Newlywed Mrs. Claus is immersed into a life at Candy Cane Hollow that is definitely different! An unexpected Death and interrogation brings a Fedora wearing Elf into her life. A rolicking good time is had by All. Wonderful character development (especially Gilbert) and a world of wonder.

This was a nice enough, self-contained whodunnit set at Christmastime, which I understand is the prequel to Ms Marple's A Christmas Cozy Mystery series, but it didn't excite me as I'd expected. I wondered if perhaps it was written for a younger audience and that led me to award it three stars.

I love Candy Cane Hollow and this prequel was such a surprise. Mrs. Claus is brand new in her job and Gilbert before he is the house elf. The two become entangled in a murder mystery. I loved this book, it is perfect for Christmas reading.

Cute. Mistakes like using she instead of he or I turned away before I could disappear when she was watching someone leave. Lots of references to the Dowager Mrs. Claus and the police will arrest the current Mrs. Claus if she doesn't find the real killer before Christmas Eve.

Cute intro novella to this series. Candy Cane Hollow is a super cozy North Pole town and I’m here for it. A few red herrings and a surprise murderer! Can’t wait to read through this series.

What a delightful story! I am happy to have found such a fun book. Holly, aka the new Mrs Claus is taking baking lessons when a classmate collapses, then dies. As the last to be near the classmate, Holly is suspect. Well, it just won't do for the new Mrs Claus to be seen as a suspect, so what does she do? Tries to solve the case.
Such a fun story. Love Gilbert too!
