I am bingeing this series after having binge-read 7 thrillers in a row and while going through several dental procedures and finding myself in need of some quick, cozy, silly, light and fun reads. This series is purrrfect for this. As a retired librarian who loves cats, I can’t go wrong with a series about a retired librarian with a talking cat. This is my favorite so far, although I would advise anyone reading this to read it in order as there are many references to the prior books. Anyway, I plan to read the whole series before returning to binge-reading thrillers, my usual genre of choice.

I love the friendships Jim’s made in his new town and Christmas spent there was a special time for all. Except when they started having their stuff stolen and puzzling riddle notes started appearing. Some crazy person seemed to be orchestrating it all and when the showdown came, Jim and Ginger were victorious and saved the town’s Christmas tree on New Year’s. I’m pretty sure Jim’s ready for some peace and quiet by now!

The end of a year and Christmas cheers but not a riddle of happiness for the new.. .or maybe all will end well and the lost will be found?

Yet another good book in this series involving mystery stories. Now it’s time to go to the next book in the series and see what mysteries it’ll contain for Jim and Ginger.

Sarcastic Cat

I liked the book and the characters but the cat’s sarcasm was a little too much. Also Emma was annoying but funny.
