Twenty-five-year-old Dani Sommer and forty-four-year-old Adam Harris are both picking up the pieces of their lives. She’s back home in Williams Bay, Wisconsin after a career setback, while he’s seeking distance from Chicago following a high-profile divorce. Neither expected a summer romance—yet the cottage Adam rents becomes the catalyst for a sexy fling that quickly grows complicated.
When Declan Kruk—Adam’s business partner and the half-brother of Dani’s abusive ex—makes a reappearance, it stirs up emotions that Dani would rather leave buried.
By summer’s end, Adam offers Dani the financial security and exclusive business connections she’s always dreamed of—in exchange for a baby—but with secrets swirling and Declan always lurking, Dani wonders if she’s truly ready to take this plunge.
Note: This is not a traditional happily-ever-after romance. Dani’s full journey unfolds across the SAGA Series, culminating in The One.

The SAGA Series is women’s fiction with coming of age and romantic themes. While each book explores different romance tropes and spice levels, Dani’s ultimate happily ever after comes in The One, the final book of the series.
Serena Pier is a recovering girl boss, mom, and wife. After being called a brat for as long as she can remember, she decided to lean into it—writing sassy, strong, complex female characters who fully embrace the sexy side of the word. Her books are influenced by her endless fascination with power dynamics and how they play out in relationships, workplaces, and everyday life. Most of her stories are set in and around Chicago, paying tribute to her Midwestern roots and love of all things dairy. When she isn’t in front of a screen, Serena can be found pontooning with her family, enjoying a glass of wine with friends, and driving as fast as she can on the track. Wow! I’ve been waiting on the edge of my seat for this to come out after reading the townie and I finished it all up in 24 hours. Dani’s character development is so relatable and understanding while she meets this new guy that checks all her boxes. She navigates new feelings but also understanding what she truly wants for her life alone and with a partner. Adam seems like the one but here comes Declan… which I totally feel like checks all the boxes and more. I can’t wait to read more of Dani’s stories and ultimately finding the ONE! TEAM DECLAN FYI ;)
ARC reader here! This was my first Billionaire Romance and I ATE IT UP! This book instantly grabs and holds your attention. There was such a whirlwind romance and intense connection but the whole time I was reading this book I kept screaming "WHAT ABOUT DECLAN!" This story is dual POV that follows the character's Dani and Adam. Adam being 44 and Dani being 25. Adam is recently divorced and goes to a small cottage for the summer to unwind. Low and behold he meets Dani! This Novella is short and steamy. A quick enjoyable read!
Dani (25) is back home from a failed business. While out with friends she stopped at her aunt rental. And meets Adam (44). Adam is trying to hide and recover from a divorce. There is an instant connection but things get in the way. This is not a HEA so you will have to read the series to find out what happened. I would recommend this book. I just didn't like the ending. Age Gap, Alpha Hero, Billionaire, Small Town
I really enjoyed this book! It was a quick age gap romance with spice. It is fast paced especially in the beginning. The author warns that there isn’t a HEA at the end as this is a series about the FMC, and yet, when I got to the ending, I was very emotional. The chapters were short which I also liked. I highly recommend this, but be sure to check the trigger warnings. It releases 11/14/24.
The Renter by Serena Pier is an interesting novel that is a bit hard to truly categorize. It is the first official installment in the SAGA series which is to follow the heroine-Dani and her journey of growth and ultimately love. So this novel will not leave you with a typical HEA, which Pier is very clear about before you dig into the novel. I respect that Pier is clear with her readers from page one about what to expect because without this I definitely would have approached and left this novel with feelings unbefitting to Serena Pier’s intention for this story and her heroine.
Pier’s writing is clear and quick paced, through the use of short chapters it is easy to really clip through the novel which has both benefits and downfalls. The quick paced nature of the novel worked well for me in this story is not a romance. I also felt due to the quick nature of the chapters there was also a distance created between me the reader and truly investing emotionally in the characters. This novel also has many different secondary characters and a lot of outside plotting driving situations around the Dani which keep this moment in her life as one of exploration. Dani is young, and still feels young, and Adam is the hero who is about 20 years older and in a much different place in his life.
This novel has a chaos to it which really helps to heighten the situations and emotions around Dani which drive her forward through this relationship. This novel is one that is sure to work for some people and sure to be conflicting to others. I respect Piers craft and voice and see it akin to other works like those from Jess’s Hastings or E.L. James, so there are definitely readers who are going to love this messy and epic journey that Dani is on. These are not my favorite types of romances so not something I typically gravitate to, but I was happy to give it a shot and see how Pier approaches a love narrative, I have only read a novella from her at this time.
If this is a premise that you find interesting and if you don’t mind a story that will unfold through multiple installments, then Pier’s SAGA series should be something you give a chance.
Thank you to Grey’s Promotions for an eARC, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
It was a slow start for me but by the end of the second chapter, I was hooked.
Dani is young but has her sight set on Adam, the older man, the Renter of her aunt’s cottage. Spurred on by her friends to take a chance, they end up in bed after she borrowed some cups from him for a boat ride with her friends.
With Dani having to move home to her parents after a costly failed attempt in business, he’s a breath of fresh air. Only when she does an internet search does she find out exactly who he is.
But then she comes across someone else in her past, and there’s always been something there underlying, something that has to stay in her past but it’s hard to keep stuff hidden if it keeps rearing it’s head in your future.
He falls first, older man troupe, billionaire, this book has got it all.
Got to the end and now can’t wait for March 15th for the next book.
Enjoyable read and I did have to re read the last chapter as I didn’t want it to end.
this book had me hanging onto every last word. you couldn't help but fall in love with Adam and then hating him and then loving him just like Dani. billionaire man who will give you anything you want and worship you at the same time. how could you not fall in love?

ARC edition. Dani is back home this summer at her parents after a business failure, but fate has decided to cut her some slack with the handsome billionaire Adam Harris. We get to catch up with some past characters and meet a few new ones as the story unfolds and unfold it does! I love how we’re given little crumbs of how things are gonna pan out by way of subtle warnings and phrases. The book end on not a cliffhanger but a “to be continued”. so only four months to wait for the next instalment of Dani’s unhinged life !!
The ending WRECKED me, but in a good way lol had me wishing book 2 was already out!!!
Billionaire Romance with so much spice! I loved this read. This book is has two POV's, Dani and Adam. Dani recently lost her career and is back at her parents house for the summer to save money and meets the Renter, Adam the billionaire lover boy🥵
This book grabs you at the start and puts you in a choke hold wanting more! I love everything about this, the characters were absolutely amazing! The emotions were so high throughout this book.
Billionaire Romance, Age Gap, Love Triangle, Forbidden Love, He falls first, & Spice🌶🌶🌶
I received a copy as an arc reader for my honest review.
I received the ARC read for this novel, and I was so immensely humbled by being selected.
First, and foremost, this was Serena’s baby. An artist’s work is their baby, and they care deeply about it.
I picked up this ebook when it was first delivered on November 3, and I made it to 12% and did a soft DNF. I was not impressed by the interactions between the characters. I felt like the sexual content was awkward, almost like teenagers who have never had sex before and did not know what they were doing. They stopped having sex to have a conversation about the ages of previous partners? Normal people probably would not have continued having sex. There was potential for some really good moments, and I feel that first 12% really fumbled those moments.
After my soft DNF, it was the 11th of November before I really felt guilty for not having read it yet. I took to BookTok and looked up the book and other ARC reviews. I saw literally everyone was giving it four to five stars, and I wondered: “What is it that I am missing?”
I did not know until talking to another BookTok user that there was a prequel. The author said the prequel was not necessary to enjoy this novel but the other user reading the ARC said that it actually IS necessary. A lot of the characters back story was explained in the prequel. She explained to me that I would understand more about her character and others that have been introduced had I read the prequel. I expressed to the other user that I was struggling, and we had a really uplifting conversation and I decided to try again.
The spice still felt like it was clumsy. It would be random moments that spice are interjected into the story, and I felt like I continued reading for the plot and not the smut. By 25% in, I knew I felt this deserved at least 3 stars. The plot was immensely better, and I had grown accustomed to reading her writing style. I did not like that at one point the MMC said: “Despite my influence, she should have been xyz..” He flaunted his power and money around as the “billionaire” love story interest. By 60% I was so sure I would give this at least 4 stars, and then… the FMC changed. Her inner monologue shifted, where it was clear she was only staying with the MMC for the money and the comfortable lifestyle. Even going so far as to compare her “new” life with “financial stability” to one of her oldest friends lifestyle, saying that her friend had “chosen to be poor” by becoming a teacher and marrying a fellow teacher. After that, I was more interested in seeing how the plot points played out, but I knew I would be giving this book a three star rating.
The book is good, it is not a dark romance. It is not dark at all. Full on Billionaire romance, age gap, small town meets big city. Some scatterings of clumsy smut. It is a decent read, I just did not enjoy the character shift that the FMC made where she began to look down at the friends she had had her entire life due to who she was dating.
I am grateful for this chance to do the ARC read, and I would love to see how her story plays out to see if she does eventually develop more as a character.

First, I would like to thank the author and Grey's Promotions for providing me with a free advanced review copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
“I want to cherish you, and I want to know you. The whole you…I’m starting to fall for you, and I barely know anything about you.” (p. 60)

Will Adam be the Mr. Big to Dani’s Carrie?
One impulsive decision after another brings Dani and Adam together in a whirlwind summer romance. Adam is immediately smitten, spoiling Dani and helping her build her clientele. However, discovering their many mutual connections is proving to be more of a curse than a blessing, especially since one of them happens to be her ex’s attractive half-brother.
The Renter is the first primary work in Serena Pier's SAGA series, wherein Dani’s love interests’ first initials compose the letters S-A-G-A. (The preceding prequel for Sorin's story is a dark romance, so it is an optional read.) After the “saga” of Dani’s love life, in the final novel, she will end up with the love of her life–and we readers will not find out who that is until the last book is written!
When I first heard about this series, I immediately thought of Sex and the City. While the storyline isn’t like SATC at all, the fact that each novel in the series is based on a different love interest reminds me of the chapters in Carrie’s love life about Mr. Big, Aiden, and others. I was invested in this storyline before I even got my hands on a copy. I can’t wait to experience each love story leading up to the final novel in which Dani will choose “the one.”
Adam is a love-bomber, lavishing Dani with gifts and expressing strong feelings right away. At first, she is caught up in the excitement of it, but she starts to become hesitant and draw back the more he tries to merge their lives into one. Although a jealous man, he doesn’t come off as toxic like most love-bombers, so even though I knew there wouldn’t be a happily-ever-after in this book, I was rooting for them as a couple. Dani deserved to be treated like a queen after how abusive her relationship with Sorin was in the prequel to this series.
I loved this first novel and plan to go back and read the prequel, The Townie. While a lot of Dani’s relationship with Sorin is recounted in The Renter, I really want to experience their relationship while I await the next installment.
📖 The Renter Arc Review📖 Release Date: November 14th, 2024
The Renter is book one of four in the SAGA series by Serena Pier. In this book, we meet twenty-five-year-old Dani, who is going through a low point in her life after a bad business deal that leaves her broke and back at her parent's house. After her return, she and her friends go out to celebrate. Noticing they are missing a particular item for their day, Dani decides to crash her aunt’s rental house to procure it, like she had done many times in her youth. To her surprise, the house was currently being rented by our main male character, Adam.
Adam is a forty-four-year-old business mogul who’s looking for some time out of the spotlight after a messy divorce. The attraction is instant and intense and feelings grow quickly. Can they make it work when ghosts from the past invade their present? Do they know each other enough to make it work? Will the people that surround them or the age gap be a problem for them?
✨My Thoughts✨
While reading this story, I was always intrigued and trying to guess what would happen next. This book is a four-star read for me, and I’m looking forward to seeing what happens and how things turn out in the series. I have no idea what future books hold, but I have to say that while Dani and Adam are the main characters in the story, it was Declan who captured my interest the most. This book is full of spice from the very beginning, so consider that before you read it. Also, make sure to check for trigger warnings, which are listed in the first pages of the book. I would probably rate the spice in this book at a 4/5, not so much for the scene content, but for the frequency.
If I could change something, it would be the number of chapters and how short they were, but this is a personal preference. I am not a fan of very short or very long chapters. Other than that, it is a book that I would recommend to any romance reader out there. The story has a very structured plot all the way through.
*Disclaimer - This book was provided to me in exchange for my honest review.
this book follows 25 year dani as she’s trying to get her life back together as her start up company just failed. adam (44) is trying to distance himself from the media about his divorce, by doing so he rents a cottage in lake geneva. dani is out boating with her friends and needs something so she walks right in to her aunt’s cottage which also happens to be where adam is saying. she doesn’t think anyone is home until there appears to be a sexy older man who can’t stop staring at her.
this book is very fast paced with quick chapters! dani and adam’s story is a whirlwind romance. it starts as a casual fling until it turns into more! “The Renter” does NOT have a happy ending. serena makes it very clear that this saga follows dani’s dating life and her partners and the very last book will have a happy ending with whoever she chooses! which i think is very fun! it makes it seem like we are right there with her!! the chemistry and the spice is perfection! adam is willing to give dani the world, he is a billionaire after all! but some things dani wants to do for herself, given her past. which i completely admire and respect that about her. the book talks about money a lot and it was a little overdone in my opinion, i get he’s rich but he doesn’t have to talk about it constantly. i liked adam a lot in the beginning but his anger issues really frustrated me and i hated that dani had to deal with that. i’m glad he’s doing things to get better though and hopefully he can work through that. side note, i hate sorin (her ex) if you know, you know. he was horrible to her and i’m just glad that’s over. i’m interested to see what went on with declan (his older brother). i liked him but i don’t like how he goes about trying to break up dani and adam’s relationship. all that being said im still rooting for the couple! i can’t wait to see where dani’s love life takes her next!
The Renter (is technically the second book in the SAGA series) is a story about Dani a young woman who works in marketing and had a promising career at a start up company until it went belly up. Now Dani is back home in Wisconsin living with her parents who aren’t happy to have her back home. While boating with her friends she stops at her aunts cabin to get some glasses and meets Adam. The attraction is immediate for both. After the boating trip she makes her way back to the cabin and her and Adam become intimate. As the intimacy grows we find out that there are connections between Adam and Dani that neither knew about. Dani finds out first and confesses to Adam who generally couldn’t care less. Adam who is this really nice guy trying to recover from a horrible divorce and just relax this summer is swept into a love affair with Dani and he has strong feelings for her. Adam is about 20 years older than Dani and he is all about doing for her and giving her stuff. Just a word of warning the author warns the reader at the beginning that this book with not have a traditional HEA. Dani’s love story will take place over several books with several men. The story is fast moving Dani has a very interesting life and lots of complicated people in her life. She has an ex named Soren who is a drug dealer who almost had her addicted to drugs. (there is a novella about Soren but, I haven’t read it yet). Dani’s life is colorful and she is a sassy, take charge spitfire. I’m going to buckle up and enjoy the ride. Dani’s life will play out across 5 books in The SAGA Series which stands for Sorin, Adam, Gideon & Auden and each book will focus on a new man and a new relationship. The last book will be called The One where her true love (or final choice) will be revealed.
I really don't know where to start. The Renter is a mix of so many tropes that it's nearly impossible for me to focus on any one of them. Serena Pier is a new-to-me author so I really had no idea what I was going to read. Right off the bat I wasn't a fan of Dani Sommer. I thought she was impetuous and immature. She drinks too much; she escalates situations unnecessarily; she has no thoughts of consequences until she's faced with them. She's me 30 years ago. I didn't like myself much back then so of course I didn't like her. When she meets Adam Harris, she rushes into the unknown. That's when Dani's story really starts. She begins to see herself for who she could be rather than who she's always been. She's discovering her boundaries and her dreams all at once. She learns what her "deal-breakers" are. She's a successful business owner ( always was just got stuck in a bad deal). The more she learns about herself the more she sees that what's in front of her and what's been offered isn't necessarily what's best for her. The Renter is a spicy, coming of age novel that 20's somethings should read so they know that all those confusing thoughts and situations are not new to the world and that we all have the capability of getting through them. I am not a 20-something...and I needed this book to remind me of what it was like to not know a quarter of what I thought I knew. I needed this book to remind me to give and receive grace. To not judge someone else's road just because I chose something else for myself. To go back and remember not "having it all together" because in reality we never really do. If you're looking for a happy ending....then this book will be a stepping stone toward one. The story doesn't end with the last page. The last page makes you eager for the next first page. Serena Pier...I kinda hate you for that last couple of chapters...but I absolutely love you for sending me The Client. Long story short....READ THIS BOOK!
As a huge fan of Serena Pier’s work, diving into the SAGA series was a no-brainer. I may be late to the party, but what I lack in timing, I definitely make up for in enthusiasm—lol, truly. This book pulled me in fast and hit all the emotional notes I’ve come to expect (and love) from her writing.
Dani is picking up the pieces of her life after losing everything in a business she poured her soul, talent, and savings into. With a past full of trauma, toxic relationships, and hard choices, she’s doing her best to start fresh—until a chance meeting with Adam, an older, gorgeous stranger, flips her world sideways. Their chemistry is undeniable, and their whirlwind summer romance quickly becomes something deep, real, and impossible to ignore.
But life has a way of getting complicated. The past doesn’t stay buried, red flags get harder to ignore, and Dani finds herself navigating more than just new love. There’s tension, temptation, and some very complicated feelings as old wounds resurface and new ones start to form.
I fell hard for Adam—just like Dani did. Pier’s writing style is vivid and emotional, filled with banter, tension, and layered characters that feel like real people. The setting is just as immersive, and if you've read Falling for Red, you’ll love the crossover of characters and places—it’s like stepping deeper into a world you already know.
The spice? Top tier (like Adam’s whiskey 😉). No notes.
However, definitely check the trigger warnings—this one tackles serious themes and doesn’t shy away. But if you’re into emotional heat, messy love, and complicated, sassy women trying to find their way, this one delivers.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️(5/5)!! The Renter by Serena Pier. Genre: coming of age fiction with strong romantic themes (words directly from the author) (& with executive level spice 😮💨)
I 👏🏻 LOVE 👏🏻 A 👏🏻 COMING 👏🏻 OF 👏🏻 AGE!!! I love a strong FMC who knows what she wants and needs! And that’s exactly what The Renter gives us. Dani is my girl! This book was sooooo good. It hooked me from the beginning and kept me engaged the entire time. I am dying for the next in the series to be released in March!! I’m dying after that stinking cliffhanger 😫 Thank you to Serena and Greys Promo for this ARC!! It releases on 11/14, you can preorder on Amazon! It will be available on KU! 🙌🏻
Read this if you’re into: ✨An age gap (she’s 25, he’s 44) ✨A billionaire finance bro who wants to take care of her ✨Confident FMC who knows what she wants and needs ✨He falls first ✨Small town but also big city
What it’s about: Dani is back home for the summer, living with her parents, in the small Wisconsin town she grew up in, trying to get her life back on track after a company she invested in went belly up. She’s out on the lake with friends one day when she makes a pit stop by her aunts house to grab a few things. Little does she know, Adam Harris, a very attractive billionaire, is renting the cottage for the summer to get away from the public eye after his very public divorce. After her run in with Adam, they form an unexpected bond and become inseparable. Dani is quickly swept into a life that she had manifested but never thought possible for her. But is it everything it’s really cracked up to be? Will her need for independence and to forge her own path be too much for Adam to handle?
There is just something about this series that I cannot put down. Having read Serena Pier’s High Five novella series, full of adorable hearts and flowers, I was not expecting the dark themes in the SAGA series. Starting with the Townie and continuing in the Renter, we follow Dani as she grows into herself but continues to have truly rotten taste in men. Luckily, the author lets us know in a note at opening of the each book that we are along for the ride in Dani’s coming of age story and that she will not find her true love until the final book is the series. Having never before gone into a romance novel knowing that he is not the one for her, it gives the reader a much different perspective. Adam, the titular Renter, starts throwing up red flags from the beginning and instead of wondering when he will see the light and become the man Dani wants him to be, we are waiting for Dani to figure out that he is all wrong for her. Dani has matured in the 5 years since the Townie, yet she continues with many of her self destructive patterns. She can grate on the nerves a bit at times, but I personally find that makes her relatable and is true to being only 25 years old. The erotic scenes in the book are well written, morphing from sexy and thrilling to more dangerous and worrisome as the book progresses. I will absolutely continue reading the SAGA series and look forward to watching Dani grow into the amazing woman she has shown the potential to be.

Age Gap ✔️ Office/billionaire romance ✔️ PASSION ✔️🌶🌶🌶
I loved the tropes in this book. First off, I want to address that there are some deep topics that are discussed throughout this book. Pier did a great job breaking down the trigger warnings. The writing was quick paced and hit a lot of points fast. I am not a huge fan of going into depths about details so it was nice to read a straight to the point style of writing.
Overall, the passion was incredible. I felt the energy sizzle every time the characters were together. I love when characters are human and make mistakes, and these characters felt SO real to me. It was a breath of fresh air reading this book and looking into their past. Their past impacting them was incredible to read and it was nice to see the themes continue throughout the book.
The chaos for Dani was incredible and messy. I loved it! Adam was straight up human and full of so much love. I love any book that the male character stands up for her while acknowledging she can do so. There were so many scenes where I thought I was going to fall in love with Adam myself. (Trying to not give spoilers!!) I loved the passion and explosive energy in this book. The way it ended just about had me in tears and I love when writers have the power to do that. Loving this romance and can't wait to read the next one!
OMG, first off I need the next one like now! Please! I was completely hooked!
The growth Dani goes through from ending her relationship with Adam to her newer relationship with Gideon is wonderful. Declan plays such a monumental role with this as well but the tension between them is wow! Adam is an A-hole though, screw that guy and is toxic a**.
Difficult subjects are mentioned and I think they are covered really well. Serena has described the battles, struggles, and recovery with such respect and clearly well researched.
I think this book has a really good mix of a mature relationship, growth and of course spice. Sometimes I wish the spice was maybe a little more though, like not pages and pages long but maybe a little more than what is described but that’s just me personally.
This book had me on an emotional roller coaster, I feel bad for Dani but I also really want to yell at her for her decisions sometimes haha.
I really want to know what happens next, I’m totally hooked on Dani’s journey and I feel for her so much. I love her sass and banter so much, I want Declan to be end goal BUT omg does she fall so easily?! Stop it! haha!
All in all, I really enjoyed it, there was so much drama, friendship, growth, romance, spice, and humour.
I really hope I am selected to ACR ‘the reporter’ next! Thank you Serena!

The Renter by Serena Pier is an age-gap romance and the first book in the Saga series.
After Dani’s career fell apart, she returned home to regroup. There, she met Adam, who was renting her aunt’s cottage. Their initial attraction quickly led to a summer fling, but soon, the connection deepened, and they became a couple. The summer bliss was short-lived, however, as their lives began to change in unexpected ways. Not only were they in different stages of life, but Adam also revealed a side of himself that Dani hadn’t anticipated. Will their relationship survive these shifts?
This is one of the most realistic romances I’ve read. It’s also the first where I found myself wanting the main characters to end up single.
The plot was engaging, focusing primarily on the dynamic between Dani and Adam as they faced emerging challenges. The first half of the book was fun and full of spice, while the latter half leaned more into their career struggles and the growing distance between them. Both characters were likable and relatable, with real-world personal issues. They had great chemistry, and their date scenes were some of my favorites. The ending was fitting and felt just right for this story.
I highly recommend The Renter to fans of age-gap romance!

I really enjoyed this book. It was a first for me by this author, and I wasn't disappointed. I enjoyed the characters both main and supporting. I went into this book blind and only realised that this wasn't really the first book. The Townie 0.5 is first, so I will have to go back and read it. But I didn't feel it spoiled my experience.
Dani and Adam had an instant connection, and their relationship took off straight away, but once reality kicks in and real life resumes, cracks appear, and secrets change things. Fears, jealousy, and tempers also play huge parts in this story. The story isn't finished and probably won't be in the next book either. We'll have to wait to see where and who Dani ends up with. I really recommend this book.
Set five years after The Townie, The Renter follows a more mature, yet still impulsive, Dani as she returns home for the summer. After studying abroad and experiencing the highs and lows of building (and losing) her first company, she’s changed—but not enough to resist diving headfirst into another whirlwind summer romance. Enter Adam, a billionaire venture capitalist and an older man who seems almost *too* perfect at first.
What I loved in this book is how much Dani has grown. She’s no longer the girl who lets herself be pushed into things she’s not ready for. She stands her ground, makes her own choices, and refuses to let history repeat itself. But even with her growth, she still finds herself tangled in a relationship that quickly becomes all-consuming. Despite the warnings, Adam seems like the ideal man—until the little red flags start stacking up. And when those flags start giving her flashbacks to Sorin? *Yikes.*
Meanwhile, Declan remains a constant presence, still chasing her, still wanting better for her—though let’s be real, he’s got his own set of red flags (which I’m choosing to ignore for now).
Overall, The Renter is a fast-paced, addictive age-gap romance that keeps you hooked and leaves you craving more. I cannot wait to see what’s next!
Dani is home for the summer trying to regroup after a failed business venture. She knows her parents aren’t thrill under the circumstances to have her back home at twenty five. She makes the most of a girls day out on a boat, but when she realizes they need cups for their wine, she makes a pit stop at her aunts house and gets a very nice surprise. Enter Adam, the business man from Chicago looking to get away for the summer. He’s in his mid forties and recovering from an over pull of work and divorce. He hears something and heads downstairs to check out what’s coming from the kitchen and gets a very nice view.
Their attraction is almost immediate, after speaking with her best friends she realizes after leaving her aunts house she has to go back and see what the renter might be interested in. If you are into short chapters but long reads this book is for you. The authors development of the storyline is fantastic, there is twists and turns and surprises characters that make you question Dani the entire read on where her heart and her pockets are lined. Definitely recommend. Cant wait for the next book.
I absolutely adore this series that chronicles Dani’s journey through her 20s as she discovers herself, but I’m practically on the edge of my seat waiting for the next books to drop—like, NOW! I devoured this book in no time, and the super short chapters made it impossible to put down; I just wanted to read into the night! Dani and Adam’s relationship was engaging for most of the story, but as I approached the last 30%, I couldn't ignore the glaring red flags, and I really hope Adam isn’t "The One" for her. I love the idea that each book introduces a new love interest, leaving us to guess who Dani will ultimately choose. And let me be clear: if she doesn’t end up with Declan, I might just lose it! Although none of the books focus on Declan, I’ve already fallen for him based on the brief glimpses we got in Adam's book; he feels like the perfect match for Dani. It’s astounding that nothing substantial occurred between them in this book, centering primarily on her relationship with Adam, yet a mere sentence with Declan was packed with more emotion than the entirety of Dani's dynamic with Adam.
Omgggg….wow, this book has me anxious, but not in a bad way. It was so good, I could not put it down.
Dani is a young woman trying to start up her PR business after a business deal she had with a friend went bad. She is living at home with her parents again in Wisconsin for the summer getting herself prepared to move back to Chicago. But everything changes when she breaks into her aunts house and runs into a sexy renter, Adam.
Adam is a very successful, divorced man in his 40s. He rented a cottage for the summer to get away from work. What he didn’t expect was to start a fling with a 25 year old. He is used to getting what he wants and Dani is sassy and bratty.
Wow! The chemistry between the two is instant. Things move very fast for the two of them, would be even faster if Adam got his way. But Dani doesn’t want to rush things too fast. She wants to be a baddie boss woman and be independent. She has had someone control her before and does not want to repeat history.
Ummmm…I was NOT expecting that ending. My heart was racing and I am needing more now. Also, I want more of Declan . 🤭
Billionaire, age gap romance with lots of spice and such a whirlwind of emotions! 🌶️ Adam and Dani’s story is EVERYTHING!! 🌶️🌶️🌶️ This story follows Dani and Adam who have such an intense connection and it’s INSTANT! Dani finds herself back at home, living with her parents, after a business failure…when after fate (and a little push and motivation from her friends) she comes across “The Renter”, Adam, who is the older, sexy man that Dani sets her sites on and later discovers is also a billionaire (and willing to give her the world)! The story follows through Dani’s past and will also have ghosts pop up; there's also something there underlying, something that has to stay in her past but it's hard to keep stuff hidden if it keeps popping up; and Adam also starts showing his “scary” side and it brings up bad past experiences to Dani. Can they overcome this and be a power couple together?!! I love the quick chapters! It will have you breezing through the book; I was hooked and obsessed! The book ends with a cliffhanger and a “to be continued” linger…. Definitely can’t wait to read book 2 in the SAGA!! 🔥🫶🏻🖤🌶️
