This was a RIDE friends. I thoroughly enjoyed this conclusion to Harkin & Keira’s story.
Keira’s blood family is truly something. But even through all of this, Harkin stays by her side. Their love is truly unconventional, but it’s whole heartedly 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢. How they started off (dual stalking each other) to how the story concludes fits them to perfection.
Keira is also a FMC who can handle herself, and I love this so much about her. Keira and Harkin make a perfect team.
Cindy really does put you through it the last 10-20% of the book. My anxiety was through the roof, and I was sweating.
And the ending, though it is unconventional — is perfect to the characters.
The spice was spicing, I ran out of tabs for spice scenes LOL.
Thank you so much, Cindy for letting me finish this story that I fell in love with over a year ago. I’ll cherish this ARC always.

While I'm sad this is it for the duet we go out on quite the banger! This book has all the feels, all the spice and all the action. Don't worry, you get dropped right back into the story post book one and you won't miss a thing. The beginning really ties nicely to the last book so I was able to jump in without a refresher. Harkin is still hot as ever and I really loved seeing Kiera grow (and still be stubborn as ever!) Remember when I said all the feels? Yeah. Grab the tissues. It gets devastating for a hot sec. But never fear- Cindy's HEAs may be different but they are always satisfying. An amazing duet, I cannot wait to read what Cindy writes next.

I honestly liked this book. It isn't a loved book however it's up there. I have never really been a mafia girly BUT these kinds of books are where it's enjoyable. I am not super closed minded when it comes to descriptions I really enjoy with tropes I usually don't enjoy. I had a blast with this one. The depth and love between each character was beautiful.
Something just made sense about Stacey and James. It definitely made those best friend connections more interesting. The Nikita plot twist was pleasant. I'm happy Kiera got to talk to Alina about finding herself and her children happiness. I hope she gets to have that no matter how awful she acted before. Harkin had me a bit worried after everything but l'm so happy it ended the way it did. He showed her commitment in the way she seemed to find the most perfect. He listened to her. He knew something as traditional as a ring. They speak each other's love language.
It's how it's supposed to be. I'm happy they didn't lose each other or their best friends. They got to stay in their little family they all created together. I think the ending was perfect for them and tied up any loose ends for the most part.

Why does this have to be the end!!!!
What an amazing ending to such an unbelievable duet by Cindy! From the plot to the spice, right down to each character, including the side characters that you get to know a lot better in this beauty right here.
Keira's family is about to wreak havoc on everything that she has in her life. And the man she has grown to trust is right by her side through all of it. That doesn't mean that Miss Keira isn't going to give the MMC a hard time every step of the way. Her growth as a character from book one to book two is outstanding, and it made me so incredibly proud of a fictional character.
I didn't think Harkin could get anymore unhinged than he did in book one, but boy was I proven wrong. That man just screams DOM!!!!! He commands a room just by a single glare. His dirty talk...oh man, had me melting every time I turned the page. He's one of my favorite MMCs of all times.
The ending had me bawling. I wasn't expecting the plot twists that happened in this book, especially at the end (you got me), and finally, some people get what they deserve...a happy ending that ends in freedom.
Highly recommend this book. check TWs before reading.

Im so sad that Harkin and Keira’s story has come to an end. However, this book was most definitely worth the wait!!! I freaking love them! Harkin is most definitely the man of my DREAMS! He is protective, smart, loyal, strong, badass, loves fiercely and did I mention hot??? Keira is a lil baddie also and she is a force to be reckoned with!!! I freakin MELT and my heart SKIPS a beat everytime Harkin calls Keira little one! ✨ it just does it for me. ✨
The story line is amazing and will have you hooked from the very first sentence until the very last page! Also, the spice is very much spicing..
I cannot express this enough:

This takes place after the events of the first book. Kiera and Harkin are still getting to know each other. And trying to figure out what Kiera's father really wants with her. Can their relationship survive all these secrets coming to light? Will they finally be free of their shadows?
This book was awesome. I loved it and it was a perfect ending for Kiera and Harkin's story. I laughed and I cried.
And it was a 10 on the spice scale, oh man 🔥🔥🔥
Kiera continues to be the badass sassy queen that I wish I could be. And Harkin continues to be the perfect book boyfriend. Soft, caring and understanding when you need him to. But hard and take control when you need (and want 👀) him to.
It is a dark romance so check trigger warnings if you need to. But overall I loved it.

Yall! This books is SPICY! And answered sooo many questions left from the first book! They are such an amazing couple and I love how they are both 10 toes down for each other!! Harkin and Keira are such a vibe and are so down for each other! I love how there was NO MISCOMMUNICATION!! They both TALKED TO each other!! There wasn’t anything they wouldn’t do for each other and it was evident.
The way they don’t care who you are they are DOWN for one another is my FAVORITE thing about this book along with Harkins filthy mouth.
There are twist and turns and a moment where I CRIED, but one thing is for sure and for certain is Cindy knows how to write a book!!!
I’m hopeful Stacy and James gets one … hehe

I absolutely love this duet!! Book one, The Shadows We Keep is one of my fave dark romances so I was eager to read the second book of the duet. I was happy to wait patiently for Cindy to write & release it. And I’m so glad because it’s an amazing conclusion!
Keira & Harkin’s story continues after the shocking revelations of book one. The tension runs high throughout, broken up with some toe curling spice. There was a moment in there that shocked me tremendously but I continued on because I couldn’t not!!
All in all a fabulous (she stalks first) dark romance duet from one of my favourite authors that I highly recommend!!
Definitely check out Cindy’s books as she’s such a versatile writer with something there for everyone.

This was soo worth the wait!!
Harkin and Keira are one of my all time favorite couples! Their dynamic is fucking amazing, all of them are. James trying to "lighten" the mood had me dying like yoooo TOO SOON 🤣🤣
Harkin reads Keira like a damn book even when she thinks she's being sneaky 🤣🤣 like umm excuse me do you know who you're with? You said so yourself. Their little banter had me kicking my feet every time. I love her easy mouth.

Ahhhh! I have been waiting for this story for what feels like forever, but it was 𝕨𝕖𝕝𝕝 worth the wait! Cindy wrapped this duet up so beautifully.
"𝕴𝖙'𝖘 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖈𝖆𝖑𝖒 𝖇𝖊𝖋𝖔𝖗𝖊 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖘𝖙𝖔𝖗𝖒; 𝖙𝖔𝖒𝖔𝖗𝖗𝖔𝖜, 𝖆𝖑𝖑 𝖍𝖊𝖑𝖑 𝖇𝖗𝖊𝖆𝖐𝖘 𝖑𝖔𝖔𝖘𝖊."
This quote sums up the book. There are so many crazy, exciting, suspenseful moments in this book. I can't and won't stop thinking about this duet for a long time.
Cindy did an amazing job at balancing the plot and the spice. This book was everything I imagined and more.

Cindy did an amazing job at balancing the plot and the spice. This book was everything I imagined and more.

Ugh Harkin and Keira!
I was so excited for this book because book one was a banger! It had plot, depth, secrets, and two main characters that were strong and fierce on their own and unbeatable together!
So why was book too so disappointing! All I got from book two was Spice which is great I loved the spicy scenes. But every chapter seemed to focus on sex and very little of the story line. There were parts of the story that showed such great scenes but because of all the spice I just couldn’t see this book being better or in the same league as book 1. Which honestly made me so sad because I really really was excited for this book.

The connection between Harkin and Kiera always has me in awe! They both have don’t give a F* attitudes but also want to do right by each other.

I’m idk…. disappointed
The plot was there but it was just missing so much for me
The first book had so much to promise I loved the reverse uno that was the stalker trope in the first book but then it felt like I ended up with just repeating the same tropes and predictable outcomes from most books
There were questions left unanswered that could’ve kept things interesting but instead I was underwhelmed

Y’all. This book is spiiiiiicyyyyy.
Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, it did. Harkin is just so swoon worthy with his dominance, dirty mouth, and then some 😏 and Keira is such a badass fmc. I just love her.
This was full of suspense, jaw dropping moments, banter and of course spice. Cindy, you’ve outdone yourself. This was such an amazing sequel and I can’t wait for more 😍

What even happened in this book….

I could not get enough of this story. I didn't want to put it down. It jump right back to where we left off. I love the spice the twist and turns. Harkin has my heart. The way he love and protects her is amazing. I love the twist and turns. I will so read this again.
