Fifteen years locked in Sacred Heights Asylum for brutally butchering my parents, and they actually believe I’m cured. Fucking fixed. But I wasn’t—just waiting, biding my time, preparing to unleash the chaos I’ve perfected for years on a world that made me this way. But just before my release, she walks in—Raven. A new student therapist. Pure. Innocent. The exact opposite of the monster lurking inside me. She’s a light, and I’m a hungry shadow, ready to swallow her whole.

Her piercing blue eyes and delicate freckled kitten nose ignite something dark in me, something more than just an obsession. It’s a craving. Watching her from afar isn't enough anymore—I need her. So I take her. I drag her into the nightmare of my mind, where terror and lust bleed together.

She thinks she can heal me. She thinks she can manipulate me. They always do, but soon she’ll understand the truth—my truth. She’ll see the world through my eyes, drenched in blood and madness. I don’t just want to ruin her; I want her to notice the rot hiding beneath the surface, to feel the sharp edges of reality slice through her delusions. Life is cruelty, wrapped in pretty fucking packaging, and I’ll be the one to rip it open for her. She’ll watch as I axe my vengeance into the flesh of those who took everything from me, and by then, she’ll know there’s no escape. Not from me. Not from the hell I’m about to rain down on them all.

But as time seems to pass, secrets are unravelled and we both become trapped in a sinister web, sinking into a darkness that runs far deeper than I ever imagined.

I’ve been sitting here for a few days asking myself how much I want to talk about this book and what not to say because it’s another experience entirely going in blindly….. so I’ll say a few things, first is that I took longer than my normal to finish this book and it is NOT because I didn’t love it or because it’s tiresome, it was simply because I was reading/listening to other books at the same time as this and with my daughter home I was doing shenanigans with her and had less time 😂
The other thing I’ll say it’s probably the most important and it is that Jodi King is a new to me author and in less than 15 days I’ve read 3 of her books and I am OBSESSED but SHE IS NOT FOR EVERYONE! This is NOT a dark romance, those books are classified as dark horror romance or sometimes as dark erotica romance, they are HEAVY, GORY, VIOLENT, CRAZY with all the horror elements and things that even I get a little weird it out about it. I have to give you straight and say that the spicy in those books are NOT at all for everyone , they are not the cute romantic style and in cases like Hollow Wrath they are downright disgusting to me, a lot people like and more power for them , but I didn’t. I ADORED the book but not the spice in it. Hollow Hellion and Til Def are way lighter on the spice and more tolerable for me. But they are not the type of spice that gets me hot and bothered 😂😂😂😂😂 they actually make me kinda nauseous.
Another thing I’ll say is Jodi King manages to write this insanity with horror gory details in a super captivating story and somehow in there you feel emotional and I even manage to tear up in this book and also in Hollow Hellion. Make it make sense….. she is THAT good. AGAIN, she’s not for everyone so if you decide to read it BE AWARE that this is not a regular dark romance. But they have hea !
In here we follow Ty Easton and I am sorry but even thought he is INSANE, I LOVED him 😂 yep lock me up in the same asylum he got out of because I think I lost my mind a little in this book. But yeah you’ve been warned. Now I will proceed to tear through her entire catalog because I loved 🖤

This was a wild, sexy, dark ride! And I loved every single minute of it. I could not put this book down, and may have lost some sleep because of it. The sexual tension between Ty and Raven is undeniable, the tension, you could cut with a butter knife.
Ty’s story is sad, however what he does in his adult life had me rooting for him all the way. This is a very dark, horror erotica romance novel, please check your triggers before reading, if you are okay with them, then dive straight into this masterpiece.

Raven is Ty’s therapist, who he falls for immediately and has the strongest urge to claim her in every single imaginable, and unhinged way.

If you are into psychopaths, who are obsessive, possessive, unhinged, tall, dark hair… then this is the book for you.

This book was supposed to hit for me but unfortunately it did not🫠

As most of my Goodreads friends know, I love virgin MMCs, especially when they are in a dark romance book. So color me surprised when this book came across my feed, I read it, and I did not enjoy it as much as I wanted to.

We start off the book with Raven (our FMC) taking a job at an asylum. She is a therapist (or assistant one, I guess would be a better description) who obviously is going around the asylum and providing therapy to patients. Of course, one of her patients is Ty (the MMC) and they have a pretty instant connection. Ty is pretty crazy, but he is obsessed with her from the beginning.

(May I add, for a book that was almost 400 pages on my kindle, the instant obsession was a little bit weird. I felt like we dove headfirst into their relationship, and it lacked some buildup on his end. I would’ve loved to see the instant attraction drawn out just a little more, instead of it happening in what felt like one page)

From the beginning, this book was already pretty unrealistic, but I set that aside because who am I to judge? I’ve read unrealistic books before and I’ve loved them, so I thought I would keep going and give this one a shot. Within the first few chapters Ty has already killed (1) another patient of Raven’s who was SAing her and (2) a man who spiked her drink at a club. I wasn’t too keen on Raven’s reactions to these two killings and I believe that she could have had more of a backbone. Raven was a weak, stupid, boring heroine.

Anyway, I decided to move on and continue reading. It seemed like your average 3⭐️ dark romance book, but I was able to power through it nonetheless. Honestly, I thought it was all fine and dandy until one particular scene came up.

Then I see it. From the corner of my eye, a length of intestine swings into view, glistening with gore. My eyes widen in horror, then I squeeze them shut, my entire body convulsing at the thought.

“No, no—too far, Ty!” I scream.

He fucking ignores me. The slimy, alien texture wraps around my wrists, cold and slick, making bile rise in my throat. The sensation alone is enough to make my head spin, my consciousness threatening to slip away.

I have read A LOT of things in my day, but I have never read about a human intestine being used as a restraint during sex.

I don’t have many triggers when it comes to dark romance books (aside from OW drama, manwhore MMCs, and animal deaths) but when that particular scene happened, I had some issue with it. It wasn’t sexy to me (and I am not hating on anyone who enjoys that stuff) but it wasn’t for me. I don’t remember seeing human intestine used as a restraint on the TW list, but it would have been nice to have a heads up lol.

All in all, maybe this book wasn’t for me, but clearly a good amount of people have enjoyed this book, judging from the reviews. Maybe this book was my sign that I need to lay off dark romance for a little and go back to more lighthearted stuff🤣🤣

If you’ve read this entire review, or even a little of it, I applaud you for listening to my rant. Fingers crossed my next read will be better!

Safety info:
• Virgin MMC / non virgin FMC
• No OW but he was in an asylum since he was 13 so he said “I’m a twenty-eight-year-old fucking virgin—not by choice, though.”
• *forgot to add earlier so adding it now* H dealt with SA from a man when he was a kid before he went to the asylum.
• On page attempted SA by another patient towards the FMC.
• no real OM but she did hang out at a club with a man and his wife and the husband spiked her drink. She also did dance sensually a little with the wife.
• not sure on when the FMC was last with someone (forgot to make note of it), but it seemed like it had been a little while since she had a hookup.

✨ My Review ✨

Jodie… GURRL… WHAT THE FUCK 🫢

This was my first read from Jodie, and honestly… what the hell have I been doing with my life? I AGREE, I’ve been slacking!

This book is deliciously dark. I don’t want to spoil anything, so I’ll just say 👀 there’s a particular scene involving someone’s insides, and I audibly gasped… because well… HOLY SHIT.

Now, let’s talk about the MMC… TY. HOT. DAMN. If you love an unhinged, obsessive, completely feral MMC, you need to read this. The things this man can do with an axe… (IYKYK) (fans oneself 🤤).

And Raven? I adored her. She was everything I wanted in a FMC. Watching her dark awakening unfold was chef’s kiss 🧑‍🍳 💋 . From the moment she and Ty lock eyes, the tension is instant and boiling over. Their connection? Explosive, all consuming and everything in between.

The plot is exceptionally dark. As the story unravels, we get to peel back Ty’s layers and oh my god, my heart hurt for him, his sister, and the other children involved. Some parts had me sobbing. This book put me through it.

So, why not 5 stars? The grammatical errors. Normally, mistakes like these would drop my rating to 1 or 2 stars, but this book was so damn good that I had to give it 4. I wanted to give it 5, but as the story progressed, the errors became more frequent, and I just couldn’t 😔

✨ Final Thoughts ✨

If you love a MMC who is utterly feral, obsessive, and all-consuming… read this.

If you haven’t read this yet… what are you doing?! SERIOUSLY, READ IT.

The anticipation of this one was staggering, and let me say I read it in one go. I know a lot of us read into the early hours anyway but when a book grabs you by the throat, swings you around and smashes you against a wall what ya’ gonna do? Yes, yes you are going to go with it 🤪 Obvs I know what Jodie is like in her books and this one did not disappoint me…

So, you’ve read the blurb, yes? Going to be completely honest as always, I did, it sold it to me, what can I say 🤷🏻‍♀️ However, there’s more, much more and the web of intrigue draws you in, the build up of our two MMCs tumultuous relationship is inherent, as dominance prevails over a need to fight back, escape and succumb. His affinity with his axe and the damage he can do, not gonna lie I’d love to see him in action. Raven, is a force to be reckoned with, her light reflects his dark but who pulls one to the other or does it exist already in each one.

The story isn’t just about them though, no, there are plots, secrets and lies to be found within a society that has no rights existing, I’m not just talking about the Asylum. I absolutely love that inclusion, I guessed it by the clues but still I did a little OMG! Brilliant 😵‍💫I shall not be giving away anymore.

As a reader it’s your right to choose to read, no-one forces you and you should always read the trigger/content warning unless you're an unhinged psychopath then I bow and wave my hand for you to enter 🤭

You really have to abandon any sense of reality to read this book. It’s more far fetched than a vampire fic. It’s not awful, but for some reason I just didn’t get invested like others have.

"Be very careful, Little Kitten. I can smell your fear and I fucking like it."

Raven Tate (22-ish, unqualified “student” therapist) is super eager to start her internship at the popular Sacred Heights asylum, home to the criminally insane. On her first day at the new job, before she’s even shown where the restrooms are, she’s sent to council Ty Easton (28, obsessed with axes) all by herself, without any supervision. Ty only has a few days before he’s released back into society, a fully rehabilitated man, after he was sent there at the tender age of 13 after killing his parents with an axe. Can you say Lizzie Borden? When Ty meets Raven, it’s totally insta. Some completely crazy things happen, Ty gets released, Raven diagnoses him as a psycho despite never having asked him WHY he killed his parents and literally knowing NOTHING about him. Ty continues to use his axe, Raven objects, sacrifices are made, crazy people, and then a HFN?

"…. never mistake my obsession with you as a weakness. I’ll drown you in my fucking shadows if it means keeping you to myself. It’s us, ‘Til Def. You’re carved into my black soul, and nothing will ever tear you out."

SEX: Sheesh…. What a ride. He gives her his virginity at 58%, but they do lots of frustrating things before then. Things that are frustrating to me, at least. I will never understand the concept of penetrating the FMC with objects. That provides no physical stimulation for the MMC. We know men are selfish creatures, so how would doing that satisfy them? Doesn’t make sense. Anyway – he penetrates her with an axe handle in both the front and back entrances. They have period sex and then oral while she’s on her period. There are some times when the sex is really hot, but other times I was just skimming through it.

RAVEN: She’s dumb and a bitch at least 50% of the book.

TY: Precious little thing. He breaks my heart when he cries. I’d definitely fuck him.

REALITY: Seriously – are we not going to talk about how all this murdering is happening and there aren’t cops everywhere to investigate?

TRIGGERS: There’s a lot of axe murdering going on in here. Plucking of eyeballs, intestines used as restraints. Experiments on people in the asylum. Then there are some actual triggering things

It's not bad, and I really adore Ty, but I can't say I'm interested in continuing to the other books.

ARC Review
⭐ 5/5
🌶️ 5/5

Ok, I'm going to start this ARC review with OMFG I loved, loved, loved this book!

The tension, the building and the way Jodie described the whole story was bloody amazing!

I was kicking and screaming the second Raven met Ty! 🥵 That man knows what he's doing!

❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥
“Don’t worry,” he murmurs. “I won’t tell them you were a good girl for me.”
❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Right ^ I died! Send me packing 🧳, I'm ready to co with TY! I'm ready to skinny dip in the pool of red flags that is this man!. 💦

Getting back to Jodie's incredibly amazing way of writing I was hooked! Being someone that also has a diploma in mental health, the whole insider point of Raven trying to figure out what and who Ty really was under his hard shell was damned fascinating!

Their combined journey through this book is so well paced your won't have time to go and get a drink 😉. 😂

I couldn't get over how good the burning was between Raven and Ty, and then it just gets better and better.
Your definitely not going to find yourself wondering where the spice is when the 🪓 comes out to play. 😉

I was so pumped for this book and was so excited to be able to ARC read this book, but I am beside myself that this is the first book from Jodie that I have read! 😲

But it's definitely not the last.

This is my first Jodie King book and I loved it!
The second half of this book had me in a chokehold, I was originally thinking it was a 4 star read but that last half pushed it up to 5 stars.

This book has an unhinged “psychopath” mmc who becomes obsessed with his new student therapist Raven.
There is layers of deception and manipulation in this book and just as you think you’ve figured out what comes next it twists and surprises you.
The plot and spice ratio was perfect!
There are so many serious topics depicted in this book from mental health to SA. Please read your trigger warnings!

DNF at 72%. RTC.

I didn't enjoy it in the beginning. I went back to it and was somewhat entertained, but I'm DNF for now. I read it for the hero is in mental hospital trope, but it just felt a little improbable. There were some explicit smut scenes, but I just didn't feel connected. The main issue is there was no suspense, to pay off to warrant the insta-obsession.

It may seem the easiest thing to write smut or obsession, but if you don't make the reader buy in, it makes for very dull reading. I don't understand why the hero automatically gloms on to the heroine. The solution is not internal monologues with long justifications, either. Choose words carefully to build atmosphere, progress plot, and show us character insights... And if you can't do that, write good smut, which is easier said than done.

This book was completely unhinged but so enjoyable !

This follows Ty and Raven. Raven wants to be a therapist after something tragic happens in her family . So, she decides to to basically take an internship at a mental institution to get in some good practice. This is where she meets Ty who has been in the institution for 15 years after killing his parents with an ax. He seems like he's just unhinged but there's so much more to his story and reasoning.

please read your triggers !

quote that hit me :

A sob breaks free before I can stop it, real and unfiltered, and I lower my head again. She doesn't recoil, doesn't abandon me. Instead, she wraps her arms around my neck, pulling me closer, holding me. At first, I go stiff, the instinct to push her away rising like an automatic response. I'm not used to this this compassion, this... love. Not in any form. I've never been held, never been fucking cuddled, never been wanted like this.

This did NOT do it for me and I'm sad because I LOVED Hollow Hellion. But REALLY? this book had me bored to tears most of the time, the smut was definitely not as hot or plentiful and the romance was REALLY underdeveloped. Also, Raven is THE WORST

PLOT:

Raven is a student phycologist interning at a well known mental hospital. On her first day she meets her first patient, Ty. Ty is insane and an axe murderer who killed his parents when he was a child but has done well in the last few years of him imprisonment and is due for release. Things happen, they're thrown together and have to escape

THOUGHTS:

- I was really excited about this and I'm super sad to say that it was a HUGE letdown. I thought this would be a Harley Quinn and joker-esqe style story where the heroine tries to help a genuinely unhinged man and gets sucked into his world.

NOPE.

Raven is a novice and they barely say two words to each other before he's obsessed with her. He flusters her and makes her uneasy but she tries to keep her composure. I really wanted to see them bond and grow through this but that's not what we get. 95% of the story happens when he leaves the asylum.

- the random attempted rape was really not needed IMO. And Raven's loyalty at that time to a man she'd known for all of 24 hours was super odd to me.

- the kitten thing was annoying AF and I hated it. I get it, some girls are into that but she has a name! And you guys are barely even friends, it's a bit early for the terms of endearment IMO.

- Raven is a meh character and her responses to the situations she's in are ridiculous. She's got like no personality or backbone and most of the book is her caring for or chasing after her cat and waiting around on Ty. She's got a tattoo and red hair and that's basically all we get from her. Sigh. Also, is it just me or was Raven TERRIBLE at her job?? Like she basically just asks how they're doing, sits for 10 mins and turns her back on a rapist and assorted criminals when leaving? That's kind of dumb. Also, for someone who cared so much about her education and carreer (allegedly) she sure gave up on that real quick.

- Ty started off as a great character. Very detached, super tall and with razor sharp intellect. He comes across as cunning and one step ahead and then.... That just stops? Like he's so very smart and then when they're out of the asylum the author leans more heavily on the manic / crazy aspects and he just comes across as a random obsessive guy with an axe to grind (pun intended). ALSO! I HATE when a dark romance author makes the male character bad but fully redeemed. "Like yeah, he's an unstable axe murderer but it's because he has a bad past and the people he killed actually totally deserved it?" So he's not crazy then tbh, he's just a guy wanting to get revenge on those who broke him.

- the romance was really lacking here. He's obsessed with her within 3 seconds, she's hesitant but is super attracted to him, she runs away once half heartedly but she ends up submitting. That's it. No boding or love or anything just some meh sex scenes.

- FUCKED WITH A INTESTINE AS THE RESTRAINT WAS NOT WHAT I WANTED. I don't mind dark romance but girly.... You got over that REAL quick while he was fucking you. Also, gross.

- I HATED the twist at the end. No spoilers but it was basically oh you thought this person was dead? NOPE. also this guy was evil the whole time and there's this secret society, it's their fault. Boom.

MEH.

My Rating: 3.25 ⭐⭐⭐
Series Status: That end twist screams there’s more coming...and I’ll be there with snacks, an alibi, and possibly bleach for the crime scene.

We Have:
✅ MF Romance
✅ Instalust → Obsession
✅ Kidnapper/Captive + Forced Proximity
✅ Psychopath MMC Who Worships & Destroys
✅ Therapist FMC With Questionable Self-Preservation
✅ Blood Play (Period Play)
✅ Organ Play (Intestines..bruh)
✅ Revenge & Carnage With a Side of Dark Humor
✅ Axe/Knife Play & Murder as Foreplay

This book grabbed me from page one and didn’t let go. Ty is pure chaos wrapped in a smug grin...unhinged in the absolute best way. He’s stomping through life with “don’t care, won’t care, try me” energy, and by the end of chapter two I was ready to hand him my phone passcode and my soul. He’s a psychopath, sure, but he’s devoted...the kind of man who would kill for you, kill with you, and probably kill you if you asked nicely.

The FMC… siiiiigh. I wanted to love her, but for someone with a professional background in therapy, she sometimes acted like she was in a different genre. It took her forever to put two and two together, and my feral little dark romance heart just wanted her to pick up an axe and back her man sooner. Yes, in the real world, being abducted by a violent asylum escapee is terrifying. But in fiction? Let’s skip the hesitation and get to the “partners in crime” era already.

And look...I don’t even know what to call the kink where someone ties you up with freshly harvested intestines from the person they just murdered… but it somehow worked here. I’m not saying it’s going on my bingo card, but I’m also not saying it isn’t.

The violence is messy. The smut is filthy. The revenge is personal. And buried under all that gore and bloodlust is this twisted little thread of tenderness that makes it hit even harder. The ending gave me just enough of a shock to leave me side-eyeing the next book...because if this story keeps escalating, I am fully prepared to be complicit. This isn't a series but it is a universe so I kinda need to know where folks came from and where this shit is going lol...

*Sits back*, *cracks knuckles*.

I don't truly know where to begin this review.

Til Def was beyond everything I thought it was going to be. I knew it was dark. We left morally gray in the prologe. I knew it was going to be spicy, like ghost peppers spicy (Jodie writes smut beautifully) but what I didnt anticipate was finding myself not only siding with the psychopath, but questions if he was one to begin with, and truly hoping for a happily ever after.

This book absolutely delivered emotional damage on a silver platter and had me begging for seconds.

Characters development was so we thoight out, planned and executed. You arentn just told how the MMC grows, but you listen to him tell you and explain all the heartbreaking details that forced him into a person he didn't recognize but accepted, unknowing of any other alternative.
The Smut to plot ratio is balanced to perfection.
Rollercoaster plot twists, and plenty of what the fuck did I just read moments.

Please, before reading, check the triggers warnings. This is not an easy read, and the warnings are there for a reason. Your mental health is important.

I ended up DNF this one. The writing started a little rough but I wasn't going to judge the maturity of the writing style. I kept reading but I paused because one of my pet peeves is when a FMC is given a career opportunity meant for someone older but her age appears/reads as younger. I kept reading but hit a road block when thoughts about mental illness came through. I get that characters will have philosophies that I may not share, which is perfectly fine and normal but I felt talked to through the character. It was heavy and it was a lot and it was a lot upfront. I can reason a character's methodology being solid but here, I just couldn't it felt like preaching by the author. I decided the writing wasn't strong enough to justify being talked down to.

Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Spicy content 🌶🌶🌶🌶/5

Oh my frikken goodness, I received this book as an ARC and I am so f**king excited about it.

This book is a dark romance that does not in anyway shape or form shy away from its bloody, spicy, and horrifying edges.
Please note this is not a book for the faint of heart so please check the trigger warnings as your mental health does matter, but for those who enjoy plunging into the darker side of romance blind, it’s an absolute must-read.

Ty and Raven’s relationship is the kind of depravity that left me absolutely breathless and begging for more. Their dynamic is intense, raw, and utterly enthralling which just gives the perfect blend of passion and danger. Without spoiling too much, let’s just say their connection isn’t for the faint of heart, but it’s everything I could ever ask for in a dark romance.

The writing draw me into a world where love is forged in blood, and horrors lurk behind every corner, and not everything in the world is what it seems and I got thrown for a loop right when I thought I had everything figured out. But don’t worry the story comes with its own built-in “axe-citement” that will left chopping away at the pages for more. hehe IYKYK

Before diving in, be sure to read the trigger warnings because your mental health matters, and this book doesn’t pull punches. For those prepared to embrace the darkness, Til Def is a masterpiece that will haunt your thoughts long after the final page.

If you have been thinking about getting this book, jump right in, you only once remember!

It’s been a while since I have read something VERY dark & let me tell you.. this was THE ONE.

Wow. I just knew I was going to love this from the blurb. It starts so strong & has you hooked in straight away. It was giving me Joker & Harley Quinn vibes at some point throughout the book.

Now this book is heavy on TW’s. You will go through many emotions whilst reading this. I cried, I laughed & I smiled. It’s traumatic. Simples. You have been warned. The characters are easy to fall in love with & you will want to reach out and grab them. I loved the sass our FMC has, the way she back talks to the MMC🤌🏽. The trauma some of the characters go through is extremely tough to read & learn about, but it’s what brings the whole book together & Jodie handles her characters stories with care, but also lets talk.. REVENGE. Unhinged.

There are plot twists & turns! I kind of knew what was going to happen but not in the way I thought? This is what has stopped it for me being a 5 star HOWEVER for others experiencing this the thought of how it’s done is clever & wrote so well & I just loved how everything in the end connected & came together!!

The SPICE🤭 lemme tell you, it was done right in this one.

And the ending?! Excuse meee. You just wait people, ya’ll know what I mean if you have read Jodie King’s other books.

What a fun ride back into my dark & unhinged reading place.

Jodie, I hope you’re okay.

🤣✌🏼🩷

If you have read a Jodie King book before, you'll know you're in for a deliciously, dark and wild ride and this was no exception.
Ty and Raven meet at Sacred Heights asylum where he's a patient and she's a new therapist assigned to help him in his last few days before release. Ty is obsessed, Raven is intruiged and it's not long until Ty is going to some excessive lengths to make Raven his.
There's something bigger going on in the rotten underbelly of the town they're in though and Ty is hellbent on dismantling it all.
I loved their chemistry and the general debauchery of Ty in corrupting Raven. Ty is an unhinged pychopath with streaks of morality and nobody writes a unhinged, debauched but delicious MMC quite like Jodie King.
Trying not to spoil but there is a connection in the epilogue to one of Jodie's other books which is amazing.
Check your triggers before you go into this as it is a dark ride... but it's a really good one.

This book took me for a ride. Raven has this sassy attitude and these walls that she has put up around herself for strength, but she is also so raw and vulnerable. Ty has this very tortured past, one filled with pain and betrayal. Both of the characters have a loneliness about them, a loneliness that goes away once they find one another. It is like neither of them had fully taken a breath until they found the other. Their relationship is not without challenges. Ty has some trust issues and Raven is not sure what to really make of him. The therapist in her wants to dissect him and figure him out. The chemistry between them is beautiful. Raven’s cat Midnight will win the hearts of many, that I am sure of. I loved the Easter eggs from Hollow Hellion and the twist at the end. It was all phenomenal, dark, and delicious. This book is for anyone who has never felt truly seen by others.

This is a dark romance/horror erotica…
Also my first horror erotica.. 👀😂

My first book I’ve read by Jodie King too!! I really enjoyed it, took me a little longer than it should have to read it but that wasn’t anything at all to do with the book!

It follows a therapist and an inmate from Scared Heights Asylum… Raven and Ty wow what a duo!

Ty may just be the darkest MMC I’ve had in a book so far haha! He’s absolutely great! 🔥he’s got alllllll the psychopathic tendencies you can imagine 👀

Raven is an absolute trooper as well btw! She battles the storm in this book 😂

One scene in this book… the WOODS Jesus, mother and Mary 😱😱🫣 read it hahahaha

The epilogue also leads into another of her books… I think? So I’m excited to read more by her for sure!!

It’s very much a DARK book too so check all TW’s before jumping in and have fun! 😈

🩸🪓🪓🪓🩸 Home run Jods!

Jodie, I have only 1 question for you, are you ok hun?
🤯
Believe or not this book was worse than Hollow Hellion in my eyes. This was dirty, unhinged, demented and downright psychotic.

As soon as I got the book I started reading. I couldn’t put it down except when I fell asleep and the kindle fell on my face 😆

Now, this book is definitely NOT for beginners, I have read some fucked-up shit but this took the cake.

I actually cried and if you read the book, you will know where, that scene was heartbreaking and really descriptive. Again, Jodie are you alright love? 😆

The world building and plot are amazing. The characters are scary complex and so likable. Also there is a neat little surprise that I found so Jodie-like to do and I hope we see more of it in the future 😉

Anyway, if you are fucked in the head, I recommend this 💯

TIL Def
Jodie King

First off, this is the second book I have read by this author. The first was Hollow Hellion and it was a 5 star read for me and I’m trying to wait patiently for the next one in that series.

TIL Def is another 5 star read for me. I was one of the lucky people to receive a ARC of this book and let me tell you, it did not disappoint not once. The plot, the twists and the nice surprise appearance was everything. This book sucked me in from the first chapter and just kept me in a chokehold to the point I could not put it down, read it in sitting and paid for it the next day but it was so worth it!!

my first jodie king book and i was not disappointed (i need to now go and read their entire backlog)

this books sucks you in from the first page and doesn’t let go until the very end! the build up between ty & raven was full of so many different emotions. his darkness & her light make the perfect combination.

the plot was GRIPPING and the ending had me reeling from the things that were happening and the twist. OMG THE TWIST. this book keeps you on your toes. i cannot recommended this book enough.
