Russell “Lucky” McCoy is the Vice President of the Via Daemonia Motorcycle Club. He’s also the adopted father of his two abandoned siblings, one of which has Down Syndrome. He’d resigned himself to the life of single fatherhood until he meets Harper Hannigan, the school’s newest special education teacher. Nothing matters but winning her heart—not their 14 year age difference, the obstacles trying to keep them apart, or even her father, the town’s new sheriff who’s determined to take down the motorcycle club by any means necessary.

This is a new author for me and I am reading her book for the first time. I liked the story and enjoyed it. As a big fan of the MC genre, this one was a bit slower for me, I was sometimes confused because I thought there was a part before this book that I missed, but all in all, the book was good. Thanks for the opportunity.

4 stars. I really enjoyed getting to know all of these characters. I will say, the writing was a bit off at times. You can tell this was one of this author’s first books, if not the first, in my opinion. There was just some formality that made it a bit clunky in a lot of places. With MC books especially there’s usually a relaxed writing style that goes along with the characters, and this was trying for that but it just didn’t get there most of the time. Still. I liked the characters enough to overlook that for the most part. Though, to be completely honest I wasn’t much of a fan of Harper. She just treated Lucky like crap when she first met him and then kept doing shit to make him worry. It’s like..you know in other mc romances when there are neighbors or some side character that acts like they’re too good for the mc to even be looking at them, and they’re a minor villain? That’s what Harper’s behavior reminded me of and I just couldn’t understand why that would make Lucky so attracted to her..🤷🏻♀️
Anyway. Like I said, I still enjoyed the characters. And I did love Harper’s interactions with everyone Else, just not with Lucky. I’ll be reading the rest of the series for sure. I need more Scotty and the club in my life.
I really enjoyed this book. Lucky and Harper had an instant attraction and even though she was quite judgemental on their first meeting they couldn’t keep away from each other. This story was full of love, suspense and family and kept me gripped throughout. Would love to read the other brother’s stories but especially Scar as he is such a mystery but am so happy that Bear is next! I received a copy from Booksirens and leave my review voluntarily.
I really liked this book. I did kind of feel confused because I thought maybe I was mistaken, and there should be a previous book about Steele, but that doesn't seem to be the case. From beginning to end, I was invested in this story and loved Lucky's character and dedication to his family. I was a bit surprised how suddenly into Harper he was because honestly their one and only real encounter she was unapologetically judgemental and aside from being attracted I didn't see how she appealed to him at the time. I really liked the plot and storyline. We got to see many facets of the characters and the story. Obviously, Scotty was my favorite character. He's so pure and sweet. Although i understood why the mc did what they did in the end, i think they atleast should have handed Richard over and let him go to jail and whether he and his dad ended up there for the rest of their life or something happened to them while there, atleast it wasn't by their hands just out of consideration for Harpers connection to them frayed or not. I would have liked more of an epilogue. I get that the books will be interconnected, but I think an epilogue 1, 5, or 10 years later would have added more and gave a bit more closure to this couples book. I'm looking forward to Bear's book and the next after that, but I'm especially intrigued about scar and want to read his story and see who he ends up with. This was a really good read, ready for the next one I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
A fabulous beginning to a new series, Road Demons MC. I absolutely loved Lucky and Harper’s story ❤️❤️❤️ they didn’t know the depth and lengths her father would go to, to implicate the club in crimes they knew nothing about. Intriguing, suspenseful, chaotic and dangerous. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ you will not be disappointed 😎
Oh wow….I absolutely devoured this book….I didn't want to put it down! I love MC romances and it was so refreshing to read one where the club was more on the straight and narrow. I'll be honest I was a little worried that I wouldn't enjoy it as much because of this but can confirm that this was not the case…at all! The plot was actually really well thought out and the book itself was very well written. Character development was also done well: Lucky was just sooo swoon! I also really liked the representation of Downs Syndrome from this author, I think it was done to a brilliant standard and very respectfully. I can't wait to delve deeper into their world!
I love mc books and so chose this book just for that reason. This book is everything and more. The character building is great and the story is amazing I loved lucky and harper and their story is so special. There was hard parts in the book however the book overall is one I'll favour for a long time.
Lucky meets Harper and suddenly there is trouble heading his way and his MC. Is Harper worth the trouble to Lucky and both his families? A good suspense read.
This is a new author for me, and let me tell you this is a FABULOUS new series. She hit this one out of the ballpark 100%. Lucky didn’t have an easy life, but he took custody of his little sister and baby brother when he found out about them. It wasn’t easy for a young man to do but he did. Harper is a new teacher in town that works with D’ability kids, and the new sheriff’s daughter. Someone is causing trouble for the club and as they’re trying to get control of the situation Lucky and Harper are starting a relationship. Come along for the ride in this page turner of chaos, suspenseful adventure, twist and turns, and action. Can’t wait to read more from this author
No Spoilers! I read this as an ARC I loved everything about this book! Never I have related so much to characters before. My Stepdad is in a MC that is made up of mostly vets. This book had me laughing, blushing and crying. I can not wait to read all the other book to fallow 10 out 10 recommend
This book was cute, I loved certain aspects of it. A character on the spectrum and what life looks like while caring for someone on the spectrum was interesting and gave a unique flavor to the book. If youa re a fan of the typical MC books, this may be a bit disjointed and hard to read, it was MC book for dummies, and super toned down on the MC part, they were squeaky clean, super respectful law abiding MC guys until the last third of the book, when curse words started dropping like crazy, and the law abiding MC suddenly was torturing and murdering the bad guys. it was jarring, and didn't fit with the whitewashed we're a good guy MC thing that was going on in the beginning.
the overall story was fine, the big bad was pretty easy to identify, and there was the requisite HEA… not a bad read at all…. but not a typical MC book..

I absolutely adored this story! I love Lucky but I think I'm most excited for Scar's story. I just know it's going to be as amazing as this! I can't wait to read the next book and see what happens.
MC romances is one of my top 5 favorite troupes and Lucky did not disappoint.
It was a bit of a slow burn, but it worked as a slow burn because it gave more time for every character to be introduced, share a bit of background history of everyone and give the opportunity for things to grow over time organically. Scotty and Sissy were sweet kids and I absolutely loved how Scotty was one to want to love on everyone. Lucky and Harper though, was a different story for me. I LOVED Lucky as the MMC. He was a family man, doing what’s best for his siblings, a veteran, a dream man for any girl to want. Their age gap (14 years) wasn’t a big deal to me, Lucky was always a gentleman to Harper. Harper I felt was trying to please her parents too much in the beginning, but she grew on me eventually. I can not wait to read Bear’s story in the future!
This is the first book I have read by this author and I can honestly say it will not be my last! I truly enjoyed this first book of the series as Lucky and Harper’s story was a fun read, even with the heavier plot. My most favorite person is Scotty! What a wonderful and heartwarming character to explore. As are the other members of this MC. I cannot wait until Scar’s story is available. I bet we will be in for one heck of a ride with him! I will definitely be watching for the remaining books!!!

I really loved this book. You don't see too many of these books where the MC start off as totally legal. This is a perfect book if you.want a non dark book to read.
Book 1 has started off splendidly. Lucky & Haper make a good realistic couple. You have to adore Scotty. The men of this MC bring respect & integrity. Each men bring a certain aspect & personality you want to explore. I enjoyed the slow & steady romance between Lucky & Harper. The suspenseful danger element to the plot kept it interesting. A series I would follow.
I absolutely love MC stories and this one was right up my alley. Lucky is the VP of the MC and he adopts his siblings one of whom has down syndrome. Talk about life and it's obstacles. Lucky and his MC go through 1000+ test and only time would let you know who survives. This story was great there are some triggers of SA and trafficking but I can't wait to read even more about the MC.

4.5⭐ actual rating. I did receive an ARC and this is my honest review. I really enjoyed this book. It was not as dark and gritty as a lot of motorcycle club romances. Don't get me wrong there are still some dark themes and you need to check triggers. However I have personally read darker mc romances. I would almost describe this as a fluffy mc romance with some dark themes. I really rather enjoyed the lightness in this book. The majority is very light and focused on plot progression and romance. Twords then end is when a lot of the heavier and darker themes come in. It's beautiful and has a good plot and romance, gets a little slow for me at some points thats why only 4.5⭐ it has insta love and no third act breakup which I love! All around really enjoyed it.
Lucky was an excellent book that kept me up all night to finish it. There was plenty of romance, mystery, suspense, and heartwarming situations. I hadn’t read an MC romance book in a while as I was tired of the stories, but I can’t wait for the next book in the series. I’m now attached to the MC members and want all of them to get their “Happy Ever After”. I also liked the addition of Scotty with Downs. I work as an EF coach at a college helping students who otherwise would not be in college. The depiction of Scotty touched my heart and made the story even better in my opinion. Wonderful story and I highly recommend it.

Great story. Showed the life of a motorcycle club who plays honestly and stands by their "brothers" in all situations. This particular family is made up of 3, siblings as father and his two kids and how their lives change when a new person comes into the family. It also touches on a character with downs syndrome who is loved by all. Looking forward to meeting the rest of the club members.
This was a super sweet and super cute story. I wouldn’t call it a dark romance but it does have dark vibes once some truths come out, so make sure to check your triggers.
Our MMC, Lucky is sweet, respectful, and super hot in his love and protectiveness of his family. I loved that this book had downs representation in it, and Scotty was adorable.
There’s a little bit of spice but don’t expect a lot of it or any kinks.
Absolutely loved this story, Lucky stepped up to raise his siblings as his own when he meets his son's new teacher who's feisty. He tries to stay away from her but it's impossible. Secrets are discovered and a family is torn apart. This was a unique story because the author had one of her characters have Down Syndrome. This is the first of its kind that I have read like this. Loved the characters and the story I am excited to read the next few books in the series I just hope we don't have a long wait.
Lucky is VP, and guardian to his two siblings one, having downsyndrone and requires some extra help in school is how Lucy meets new special needs teacher Harper, and sparks may fly but can they go the distance when ttheres so much between them? well written engaging story well developed characters, steamy scenes, action, drama and more, a great start to the series
Lucky and Harper were that couple to root for. I enjoyed both of them. Good plotlines with twists that kept the pages turning, full of betrayal, loyalty, and hot passion. So good.
Lucky and Harpers story is a non typical MC one. Despite Harpers’ initial misunderstanding and judgement about MC’s Lucky and the rest of his club brothers and family soon change her mind. Her dad who’s the new sheriff isn’t happy about her dating someone from the MC.
Wow! I was simply blown away by this book! This was a first time read for me by this author. I met her in Vegas at a book signing event and remember talking to her about the MC club in this book. She was so passionate about the men in these books because they are all veterans too! But what really got me was the storyline. It was a super intense read because it involved a cop who was trying to frame the club for something nefarious that was happening in the town. I absolutely loved it and I am looking forward to book 2 in the series!! I only bought book 1 from her at the time I saw her, and now I wish I had bought them all! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It was a sweet story. The bad guys were predictable and good guys were easy to pick out. It also has a great message about Down syndrome. My reason for three stars has to do with the editing. There were parts of the book that repeated the same paragraph a couple of times.
