Naughty nomad

This was my first read by this author and I enjoyed this story. While the title was a bit misleading because there wasn’t much naughty behavior or spice, I did like the relationship the Gypsy and Jelani developed. It was funny and annoying how they agreed to this friends with benefits situation and could never follow through on the rules. I liked that they finally put their cards on the table and decided to take a chance on a real relationship.

I would have liked to see more of Gypsy and Jelani together since most of the story was of them going back and forth being in their feelings instead of admitting that they wanted more. I think this could have been developed a little more, but it was decent enough for a novella. I wouldn’t mind getting an update on this couple.

Laquana just doesn't miss for me. I absolutely loved this story. The growth of Gypsy from the beginning to the end was perfection. Life knocked her down, but sis found her purpose. Meeting Jelani was exactly what she needed. Jelani did upset me in the book a lot, but when he got it right, he got it right. That dang Toya deserved to be put in her place because she was doing entirely too much. Her sister should've gotten her together when she opened her mouth at the kickback, but she didn't. This was a fast-paced story that gave me everything needed for a complete story.

Spice: 🌶🌶
the naughty nomad gave me a cute, chill vibe — just enough to kick my feet up but not quite as spicy as the others in the series. our leads, gypsy and jelani, were both victims of the classic miscommunication curse. jelani couldn’t close the door on his ex, and gypsy couldn’t bring herself to admit how jealous it made her. they had their frustrating moments, but i still enjoyed them together once they got out of their own way.
now, when jelani completely blew gypsy off to entertain his ex, leaving her to trail behind. just off the strength of respect, that was wild. then he had the nerve to crash her dinner date later because he was jealous? ego much?! 😂 moments like that kept the tension fun but also made me roll my eyes a few times.
this read was steady, and while it didn’t hit the same spice level as the rest of the series, i’m still glad gypsy and jelani got their happily ever after. sometimes a soft finish is all you need. 💕

A bit of a struggle

I struggled with getting through this book. Since all of the authors are different & with varying degrees of writing ability I will not compare but based on just the writing flow. This book was not succinct. At times it wasn't detailed enough. The plot was cute & I enjoyed the overall story but telling that story was hard to follow.

Meh.

This was just ok. It doesn’t fit the rest of the series spice wise and the storyline doesn’t really add to the development in a meaningful way. I had to force my way through it but if it wasn’t a novella it would have been added to my DNF pile.

Jelani and Gypsy spicy story was cute but the tit for tat and going back in forth was too much, we grown just tell each other how you feel. But it ended cute.
