The fact that I have to wait for book 3 and the only information I have that there will be a book 3 is from a comment feed on the authors' Instagram last year has me dying!!!!
I am so in love with this plotline. It just kept getting more and more dramatic. We jump right back into our story as Van and Skye continue to navigate the new places they will hold in their futures, but will it be together? I was on the edge of my seat so much in this book! Every time I thought one dramatic bombshell was about to be dropped, something else would enter the chat that would take that situation to an even higher level! The amount of hanging in the balance with secrets and high tension situations in this book is what kept me binge reading the entire time.
The one thing you can be sure of is Van and Skye's love for each other, but as more players enter the chat, the more complicated things get and so much miscommunication happens in between life threatening situations at every turn. One choice will be made and before things can follow suit, something swoops in and complicates everything leaving people scrambling non stop and fighting for the power of the new lead in their families futures both as independent energies and as a whole. Blood related or not.
Emotions are brought into play, and old history between past lovers pulls in feelings that make your stomach sick, and Skye is pushed to the limit once again at the hands of so many. All while just simply wanting the love of her life. Who in turn only wants her back yet everything and everyone else seems to have other plans. Navigating through the high stress, action packed moments, kidnappings, fighting, gun battles, emotional battles, secrets, lies, history that carries more pains than have even been laid out, was just a phenomenally entertaining read.
The amount of drama and stress I walked out had me pacing, screaming, and talking to myself! I have never wanted to jump into a book like this one. I became addicted to the characters and felt so strongly in defending the love that Skye and Van had fought so hard to reach, yet everyone wants to try and take away. Rather, a distraction or a secret, their love is truly being put through it all, and even at the end of this book, it isn't finished.
There are still so many things unanswered by the close of this book. So many secrets are still left hidden. I was taken to the edge in every chapter, barreling through this plot that just never let up the entire time! But once we reached the end, it didn't have as big of an impact because the story isn't over... there is still so much more for Van and Skye to learn about each other and those around them. And I can not wait until we get those answers.
I will be heavily following any news of our next installment. I sure hope we get it!!!
If you like romance with a lot of plot, twists, turns, drama, secrets, family darkness and lies, heavy intermingled relationships, Irish mafia, action and a perfect amount of spice, I heavily suggest this series!!

2.5 ⭐️ After finishing the first book, I was excited to continue Skye’s and Vans story. However I was incredibly disappointed, honestly it was just too much of them being separated and everyone was out to abduct Skye to get to Van. For a book of less then 200 pages they spent like 20 of those pages together. And they’re now engaged and she’s abducted again. Also the grammar errors were way more persistent in this book. I will not be reading any future books in this series, even though the book end with the opening of another story.

Enjoyed this one as much as the first one. Skye is a badass and Van will burn the world for her. I wish we could see his reaction to the miscarriage she mentions to us. Also, I really wish Van and the other girl didn’t sleep together before he left. Anyway, enjoyed this one and also ends on a cliff hanger. Hopefully there is a book 3 and we get a HEA.

The multiple abductions could have been less but it was a great finish to the duology I liked it,
Skye should have “got into the roll” sooner but that was hard with her being kidnapped multiple times

can’t get enough
I love this series !
Story of love hurt betrayal finding who you are love , everything you can think of you go through it with these lot.
