I came home to save my family’s business. Now I’m being hunted, and the only one who can save me is a gruff, tattooed biker—with a smart mouth and a serious authority problem.

My father’s illness pulls me back to my hometown, forcing me to take over our struggling electrical company. I have no choice but to rely on Rebel—reckless, impossible, and the best damn electrician in town. He makes it clear—he works with me, not for me. We clash over everything, but every fight leaves me wanting more.

Then the break-ins start. My office. My home. Someone’s after me, and the police don’t care. Rebel does. Fierce and unyielding, he drags me into his world of leather, loyalty, and rules I don’t understand.

But just when I start to believe in him—in us—my past comes knocking, dangerous and unhinged. Now Rebel isn’t just fighting for my business—he’s fighting for my life.

And I’m not sure my heart will survive either way.

"Rebel" is the 23rd book in the "Dark Slayers MC” hot and alluring romance series featuring bikers who will remind you why you like the bad boys so much. They’re protective, rough, and running on pure diesel and adrenaline.
Each book in the series is a standalone with a guaranteed happily ever after for the couple, though it is recommended to read them in order for maximum enjoyment.

It Just Keeps Getting Better and Better

You would think that at book #23 in the Dark Slayers MC series that there wouldn’t be anything else that this author could give us. Don’t be fooled though because she has put out another five star book.

This is Rebel and Lacey’s story and it was filled with everything I love in my MC romance books. It had the steam, the drama, and so much more. The connection between Lacey and Rebel doesn’t happen right away with both of them having a lot to learn of the other. Once things click Rebel becomes Lacey’s protector.

Again, another awesome MC romance by this author.

I absolutely loved this MC romance from Aria Ray!!! I love me an MC romance, especially with spice (which this one has) but this also has lots of other elements to it. There was a great plot, some great suspense, some fantastic found family, and also some redemption for a side character. The writing was great and there were only a few very minor editing issues.

Lacey moved a few hours away from home after college to live and work in LA, but her job isn’t turning out as great as she had hoped. Her boss overworks her, with no appreciation for her skills or work, and is a bully… she gets a call from her mom one day that her father has been sick for a few years with Alzheimers and isn’t doing well, one of his staff from his business just let them know that the manager her dad appointed when he could no longer work has not only been skimming off the company but also approving shoddy work and they are losing customers and getting lots of complaints. She agrees to come home immediately and try to set the company right and will be in charge there.

Benny is a prospect for the Dark Slayers MC, he’s retired military, single, a Master Electrician and trying to support his aging grandmother, but he’s struggling with the business end of his electricians business…

Lacey reunites with her best friends, Zoe and Alison at the Dark Slayers MC clubhouse where they are both Old Ladies to 2 of the members, the Prez and an officer, and runs into Benny when he propositions her for a night of fun in their sex club downstairs below the clubhouse. She politely declines but Benny is a little put off.

She then tells her friends what’s been going on at her family’s business and her dads declining health and why she came home, and her friends note that Benny is actually a Master Electrician, and a good one at that, but that’s he’s struggling with the business portion of things, she’s going to have to fire 2 of her 3 electricians and somehow get her company back in the black, and hopefully hire a new electrician. At Zoe and Alison’s suggestion she considers a partnership/agreement with Benny, where he does some of their jobs when needed and she does his office work, freeing his time up to take more jobs. They seem to be really prickly with each other at first (she’s trying to be cautious and careful to preserve her families business, and has not had good luck with men in the past, as well as she knows nothing about bikers or the DSMC specifically; he is prickly about his skills and has always felt that women he was interested in that were of an upper middle class upbringing felt they were to good for him, always turning him down, and it’s dented his dating ego a little). They agree on a business partnership and things are going pretty well, with a few bumps in the road. When Benny gets patched in to the club as Rebel, Lacey is realizing what a great man he really is, smart, kind, trustworthy, loyal to those he cares about…. And Rebel is starting to really see Lacey as more that the uptight and prickly woman he thought she was…they both realize they are really attracted to one another…And sparks fly….
Just as they are getting close there are multiple tragedies shaking Lacey’s world…And therefore Rebel’s… can they weather the storms together???

One of my favorites of Aria’s so far!!!.

Rebel/Benny,38, and responsible to take care of his grandmother after his mother passed. It gets hard sometimes. He finds himself working the club bar because he opened up his mouth. To top it all off the daughter of a friend talked him into taking care of a cat. (insert macho scream here)
Lacey is on her lunch hour when she gets a call from her mother. She learns her father is ill and has been for two years. The business is having problems and she's needed at home. So she hands her resignation in at the end of the day. She isn't sad about that because her boss is a jerk. She made it home and met up with two of her friends at the MC clubhouse. She meets Benny but turns down his invite to the basement. She leaves to go home because she has another day to get the business fixed. She has two separation letters to write and figure out how to fix the books that someone was trying to cook. Benny goes on a ride a little upset that he was turned down. That's never happened. The next his Prez talks to him about Lacey and his electrician skills. At noon he gets the two of them together.
On Monday he goes to her office and they discuss the terms of surrender...I mean, terms of a contract between the two of them. He stays around while she gives termination letters to two of the employees. In between these problems she keeps getting emails from her ex boss. She doesn't reply.
NOw the two start to work together. Yes it seems to be working out. Then she gets invited to the clubhouse by her friends. She decides to do something actually a lot of somethings that she hasn't done. This might have been spurred on because she and Benny got into an argument. That night she and Benny who is now named Rebel get it on.
The time together they had on the weekend has eased tensions. She goes in to work and finds someone had broken into her office. To add to a bad day Rebel reminds her they made a bet and she's to wear the cut property of. She says it sounds ownerish. He gets hyper and leaves. She needs to talk to someone so calls one of her friends. Eventually he thinks clearer about what he said and did. The breakin has them working together. The truths the IT guys finds has the MC going on protect mode. After going through the lists of potential people it's still a hanging issue. They manage to go through the suspects but then a breakin happens at her parents' house. Will they figure it out? Will Lacey be put in physical harms way? Will Rebel protect his one?
A fascinating story or two strong willed people with trust issues that slowly open up.

again same ol problem 7 sins of a “bored with it all.. hurry up get book, over with”, …author

again same ol problem
This author literally is a one trick pony she has only 1 formula to write a template if you will…?
THE 7 SINS OF A TRULY BORED AF WRITER… AND IN A HURRY TO PUBLISH
Or maybe just copy pasting book after book of same trope swapping names and situations is just being a lazy greedy writer?

1. Girl/ boy meet angst

2. Immediately fall in “instalove”.

3. A heroine who is 2S2L.. girl in this modern age acts like there are not horrible men in the world. Even though she is being either stalked, targeted, threatened, previously abducted or SA, and still takes stupid risk .. (not victim blaming here BECAUSE as a @pe survivor and child SA) ..but Here is the thing. when you know you are actively being targeted and the baddy is out there just waiting for you to drop your guard.. and your are inside the club house safe and protected, but no.. “I need to live my life by my rules it can’t hurt to just go out by Myself unprotected right” wrong! 2S2L!!! I HATE THIS TROPE WITH A PASSION UNCONTESTED
NOW?…Is it really a “smart” thing to just,…up and leave ? NO! IT MOST F…IS NOT!
So this happened(s) in about 3/4+ of 23 books in series so that’s about 17 out of 23 books in this series alone. ONE TRICK PONY, much
Sure the names of hero/heroines changes bad guys have a slight deviation and different motives for targeting the heroine. But this is a constant repeating template of a specific story trope

4. A shocker twist is revealed then never resolved.. left open ended by the end of book .. you are left scratching your head.. screaming but what about (….?)
But nothing … you never hear it mentioned ever again no solution no resolution to further info .. just an open ended mystery that will never be. Solved

5. 70% through the book is filler of boy& girl loving smexing, insta love/lust under intense trauma induced situations and then bamm
Girl does stupid thing drops her guard acts like the person out to get her is just par for the course.. and until she realizes it’s a life/ death/ SA situation and then wisens up… the instant before anything bad can happen she is rescued safe and all of a sudden !!

6. Author all of a sudden is bored with her story and rushes to the ending at break neck whiplash pace. As though a fuse will detonate and destroy her.. if she doesn’t end the story immediately and publish. RIGHT AWAY!

7. Married and / pregnant book ends abruptly

When her father's ailing health becomes an issue, she goes home to take over the family business. Despite the stress of her family situation, she is excited to be home and seeing her old friends. That is how she meets him. He is the answer to her problems at work, forming a partnership makes sense. But he also pushes her buttons, and makes her panties melt at the same time. He has been waiting to find his girl. Watching his club brothers find their happily ever afters makes him know it is out there he just has to find the right girl. She is it. He knows it. Once he makes her see him for who he is, they are off to the races. They have some strong chemistry which results in some passionate spice from the first time they get together. He may use humor to protect his heart but he also knows how to use other things to please his lady. This is the 23rd book in the series and I have read them all. I always love the characters in the series, I appreciate that even in such a lengthy series, each one is different and unique and each relationship has it's own challenges. This one is no different. She is a sassy FMC, with a heart for her family, but also a little prickly and determined not to let anyone run rough shod over her, especially a man. He is ex military, with local roots, caring for his grandmother and building a life with his club brotherhood as well as a business. The only thing missing is the love of a good woman and he has his sights set on her. After some miscommunication, club drama and family drama, they figure out their happily ever after. I have really enjoyed the series, but this one was not my favorite. I loved the characters, it wasn't them, or their storyline, it was that some of the story felt oddly paced and some of the conversation felt unnatural and didn't flow as well as I wanted it to. My favorite of the series is Celt, and I love that he keeps popping up in other stories, just adding to the flavor.

**Love It!**

I just finished "Rebel," the 23rd book in the Dark Slayers MC series, and I have to say, it keeps getting better and better! In this story, we get to follow Rebel and Lacey on their journey to find their happily ever after.

Lacey returns home after learning about her father's health issues, hoping to save the family electrical business. But when she arrives, she discovers that some employees have really messed things up, leaving customers unhappy. Thankfully, Rebel, who is a master electrician and the best in town, steps in to help her out. Their first impression of each other might not be the best, but they realize they need to team up to fix the business.

Things take a turn when Lacey's shop gets broken into, and Rebel, along with the motorcycle club, starts investigating the break-in. There’s definitely some serious chemistry between Lacey and Rebel! However, they both have some insecurities and communication issues to work through before things really heat up. Once they tackle those obstacles, they can't seem to keep their hands off each other! When it becomes clear that Lacey is the target of the break-in, Rebel’s protective side really comes out, and it’s so sweet to see.

Like the other books in the series, the characters are well-developed, and the drama unfolds at a fast pace that keeps you reading in one sitting. While this book can stand alone, it is also interconnected with previous installments, offering glimpses of other beloved characters and introducing new ones. As always, I can't wait for the next book in the series. Happy reading!

Rebel aka Benny is an prospect when he first meets Lacey who has just returned from LA to run Livingstone Electrical. She was glad to quit her job in LA because she didn't feel comfortable around Edward, her boss. Benny,a Master Electrician, had been correcting the shoddy workmanship done by Livingstone workers. She had discovered that Matt, the employee who run things after her dad had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's 2 years before and it had worsened. Matt had embezzled funds from the company and there were many complaints about their work. Lacey needed to fire Matt and another worker and try to hire another worker. Benny is set up to work for Lacey;he needs someone to do his office work and she needs a electrician. Benny is helping to take care of his grandma with home health care. Lacey found a break-in at her office. Who did it? Benny is voted into the Dark Slayers MC and his club name to to Rebel. While her parents are gone for a new treatment for her dad, their home is trashed. Who is responsible? Is the same person(s) as the office? Lacey and Rebel had been seeing each other so he is very protective of her.Follow the path to find who is threatening Lacey ? What happens when Lacey goes missing?.

This series just keeps getting better! Rebel and Lacey definitely start off on the wrong foot with each other. He’s a sweet guy and a natural flirt but he’s also a little unsure of himself and can get himself all kinds of twisted up if he thinks he’s being rejected or put down. Lacey tends to be a little socially awkward and, even though she not trying to be hurtful, sometimes comes across wrong. Needless to say, these two had a lot of warming up to do before they could even stay in the same room together. To top it off, they end of working together…not pleasantly at first either. When they both finally settle down and become better acquainted they realize that they have a lot in common and actually like each other…well more than like each other. I love how sweet Rebel is with Lacey’s dad who’s struggling with the beginnings of a tough illness. I also love visiting with old friends from previous Dark Slayers books, especially Celt…that guy cracks me up! Oh, and we get tiny glimpse of Dusty too! I can’t wait until she gets a story…boy I hope she gets a story…that kid is a riot! Great addition to an already great series. Thanks for sharing Ms. Ray.

Lacey has to return home to Ginsford, he father has Alzheimer's and the person he had take over his business is running it into the ground. She realizes things are worse then her parents know. She is friends with Storm's ol'lady, Zoe and it is suggested that she and Benny/Rebel could help each other. He is a master electrician and does not have time for paperwork and she needs electricians she can count on.

They hammer out a deal that is beneficial to them both. The biggest issue the pair have from the start is a communication breakdown, things are
misinterpreted on both sides. When the stop assuming what the other means things smooth out.

When someone starts breaking into the office and her parents' house Rebel and his brothers will need to solve who is doing it before they pose a real danger to Lacey.

Rebel is the twenty-third book in the Dark Slayers MC series. I love the characters in these books. The Dark Slayers are the perfect combination of patriots and bad boy alpha male bikers. They are also intensely loyal and protective of their family and friends. Rebel is no exception as he is coming into his own within the club and in life. His lady love, Lacey is new to the MC world and has a lot to learn as she adjusts to being back home in Griffinsford.

The book is a page-turner with a storyline full of all kinds of drama, especially family drama, a kidnapping, a couple of rescue missions, one leading to jail time, steamy romance, earning trust, action, a little suspense, and a great happily ever after.

This is a long series, but the author has delivered another interest storyline.
Rebel and Lacey don't have the best start. Despite his appearance and affiliation to the MC, he is a decent and kind guy, which gets thrown back at him. I did not like her for the first half of the story. She was opinionated, selfish, bombastic at times, and judgemental without knowing the true facts situation. Her affiliation to the club is her friends, who are married to MC officers and help her see the errors in her behaviour.
As the storyline unfolds, the thaw begins between them, with Lacey making the first approach. The drama surrounds everyone and with each event, the characters become stronger in their relationship. The MC has its tales to tell.

Rebel is the twenty-third book in the Dark Slayers MC series. This can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading the rest of the interconnected series. Aria Ray does a superb job of making each story unique. Lacey has come back home to help with their family business when her dad falls ill. Finding a mess, she agrees to work with Rebel to save the business. Rebel has been looking for his forever and Lacey is it. They have incredible chemistry but also some self doubt and miscommunications. When Lacey is threatened Rebel and his Club brothers step up to protect. I enjoyed this actioned packed romance and look forward to the next story.

It’s intense and exciting, full of emotion, love and desire. Scenes have you on the edge of your seat and longing to find out what happens next. Book 23 in the Dark Slayers is Rebel and Laceys story and is completely consuming! Lots of drama, chaos, action, surprises and soooooo much steam. Of course before they get to the good stuff Lacey has some some family issues to take care of and even with her and Rebel working together on that they still have to deal with personal issues in order to get to the steamy times. But once they do, hang on. All bets are off and there's nothing standing in their way. The protective, obsessive alpha comes out to play and things really get hot! I completely enjoyed their journey and as always the visits from the other much loved characters too.

I've read other extended series before and sad to say the stories normally get stale or repetitious. This is definitely not the case with Aria Ray and the Dark Slayers MC. Old friends still appear such as Storm and Grit, and it's great catching up with them. In this book, Rebel is a newly patched over brother and the rest of the MC doesn't hesitate to step in to help when he needs them. Lacey may also only be friends to the some of the old ladies, but she too is accepted as family when she needs help. As they set out to investigate who is harassing Lacey, there are plenty of suspects, but the ending will surprise you.

I liked this book a lot. It is a fun MC Romance that is written with a smoothness that speaks of experience and a freshness that belies the length of the series. I liked the electrician theme. Electric and plumbing are the two projects that I will not touch, so I have a great respect for Master Electricians. I had a college professor who said he was going to explain how electricity worked. He said, “Magic. Go home.” And there is indeed magic in this book when the two main characters get out of their own way enough to give their relationship a shot. I enjoyed this book a lot.

This story is filled with dramatic twists and turns that had me all caught up in Rebel and Lacey. They meet when they have a problem that can be resolved with them forming a mutual partnership in business. It doesn't help that working closely together had feelings growing between them. Then tie in the mysterious happenings Lacey finds herself in and you have a story that captivates and draws you in from start to finish.

Lacey and Rebel meet but it does not go as he expected however their respective businesses bring them back together. Okay so this book was more like the rest of the series. I was worried after reading Mace’s that the author had lost interest but this one was a lot better.

I liked these two as a couple. Both a bit zesty but willing to make the effort to make it work. Good communication and no secrets which I can’t stand in books.

not my favorite of the series

I am usually pulled in and read a book in a day or two but this one did not keep my interest at all. I was disappointed that it didn’t pull me in like the others. The storyline didn’t get good til the last quarter of the book and that involved what I hope is another book in the series. I got through it but it took a month.

Wonderful

Benny Ross is a prospect that is a master class electrician but is not much in managing an office. Lacey Livingstone's father took ill and she came home to take over the business. But due to the prior manager mismanagement, she needs electricians. So they form a partnership of sorts. Then the office is broken into. Find out what happens next.
Good story
