The magical, snow-capped Mackinac Island. Twin sisters, estranged for nineteen years. And a Christmas season that heals old wounds and brings a family back together.
Willa has finally earned the big promotion she’s worked toward for years at her advertising firm. But her excitement fades when she’s assigned to direct a commercial on Mackinac Island, the one place she swore she’d never return. Filming the Christmas Festival means facing memories she’s tried to bury, and people she vowed to forget.
Her twin sister Amelie, a free-spirited writer drifting from place to place, can’t escape the shadows of their last Christmas together either. Haunted by the events of 2006, she avoids holiday magic at all costs. But when she secretly returns to Mackinac Island and discovers the family’s beloved fudge shop abandoned, she feels compelled to step in—rekindling both the business and her love for home.
As Willa struggles to keep her distance, fate the first carriage driver she meets is Marius Isaacson, the boy she once loved, who clearly never stopped loving her. Meanwhile, Amelie finds herself drawn to Pascal, the charming bed-and-breakfast owner with a saxophone and a heart as big as the island itself.
When the sisters finally collide, long-buried secrets and unresolved hurts resurface. To reclaim the magic of Christmas and the bond they once shared, Willa and Amelie must confront the past, forgive the unforgivable, and rediscover the family they thought they had lost.

Mistletoe Sky is mainly the story of twins Amelie and Willa, who left their home on Mackinac Island at the age of 18. They've remained separated from their home and each other for years. Fate brings Willa back to Mackinac Island for work and her twin follows her there. All the characters were wonderful and the town itself a Christmas dream. Without divulging past secrets, I can just advise you to read the book. It's an interesting plot about twin connections and the importance of home. It's imperative to learn the truth about life although it might be difficult. Mistletoe Sky is worth the read.

I just love Katie Winters books and Mistletoe Sky lived up to my expectations! I always have a great calming and happy feeling when I read her books. I cannot wait to get back to reading them to see what is going to happen. She writes about real life situations, the characters reaction to them, their misunderstandings and their struggles to comprehend, mend fences, and truly live again! A great Christmas story!
A wonderful, sweet Christmas story of twins who have been estranged for many years. Their home on Mackinac Island a distant and sad memory. As Willa returns to do her job in advertising, Amelia also returns. As they find the truth and love hopefully they can heal from the misunderstandings of the past. ❤️❤️
I loved this book. I love any book that's set on Mackinac Island and this did not disappoint. Willa is a twin who hasn't seen her sister Amelie in quite some time. Since her mom died when they were 18 years old, she hasn't been back to the island either and hasn't spoken to her grandmother or father since then too. She gets hired by the Christmas Committee to direct a few commercials to get tourists to the island. The twin connection is still strong between the girls and they both end up on the Island. It's a beautiful story and shows true character development for the twins and their estranged family. Such a lovely holiday story - highly recommend.
Loved this story about twins Willa and Amelie are called back to Mackinac Island for Christmas. A lot of things have changed since they left after high school graduation and some things haven't changed. Follow them on their journey back on the island and this time do they leave as planned and stay.
I'm enjoyed reading this story. I always love a happy ending. We have been to Makinac Island a long time ago and it was fun reading about the Christmas festival and being able to picture places while I read about them.
