The Destiny Cycle: Duology Box Set: Blades & Stone of Destiny — An Epic Celtic Fantasy of Gods, War, & Fate

Rate this book
Blades & Stone of Destiny Duology In a time before history was written, the gods of Erin still interfered in mortal lives—and destiny was a weapon.

Born of both Gaelic and Norse blood, Breanna Ban Morna is a fierce warrior bound by a cruel geas and driven toward a fate she never chose. As Norse invaders carve settlements into Erin’s soil, ancient gods—the Tuatha Dé Danann—move their pieces once more, manipulating mortals to halt a conquest that threatens their Emerald Isle.

In Blades of Destiny, Breanna is drawn toward a pair of lost mythic blades whose awakening will set in motion a struggle for the heart of Ireland. She is forced to confront the truth of her lineage as she is hunted by her enemies, must navigate shifting clan loyalties when her Chief is taken captive, and learn the price of defying divine will.

In Stone of Destiny, the demands of fate deepen. As prophecy tightens its grip and ancient powers stir beneath Erin’s hills, Breanna is proclaimed as Erin's Hero by the Heart of Destiny. Haunted by visions, she tests the limits of her magic. The choices she must make will reshape the future, bringing her closer to a destiny she may not survive. All with a growing realization that the gods’ designs come at a terrible cost.

This duology box set brings together the opening arc of The Destiny Cycle—a sweeping epic fantasy rooted in Celtic myth, ancient Ireland, and a heroine who must choose whether to submit that destiny. Or will she defy the gods who cast it?

Destiny Circle Duology is a captivating blend of Celtic mythology, history, and fantasy that pulled me in from the first page. James Raquepau does a brilliant job of weaving the legends of the Tuatha Dé Danann with the gritty reality of Norse invasions, creating a story that feels both epic and deeply human.

Breanna Ban Morna is a strong, layered heroine whose struggles between duty, loyalty, and destiny make her journey incredibly engaging. The battles are intense, the magical elements are richly described, and the constant interplay between gods and mortals keeps the tension high. I especially loved how the story explores choices and sacrifice Breanna’s path feels as real as it is mythical.

If you enjoy mythology driven fantasy with strong characters and high stakes, this duology is definitely worth reading.
