The first 2 volumes stand out from other BL manga by showing the development of the plain-looking MC who believed he was very cute because his loving parents and a longtime childhood friend had been telling him so but eventually found out he wasn’t cute and felt so inferior to his good-looking friend that he started shunning his friend. It’s at times heartbreaking and at times amazed by the MC’s innocence. However, volume 3 is just a typical lovey dovey BL story after the couple cleared out their misunderstandings. I probably won’t continue this series.
