Laura Driscoll is the author of numerous first chapter and beginning reader books, including We Are Twins and The Bravest Cat! She lives in central Connecticut with her husband and two children.
Dora and Diego are a favorite to watch and read in this household. The fact that the author has added pictures to follow along have helped my toddler (who doesn’t read) follow along with his older brother (who can read). The story helps them develop reading abilities and their imagination. Looking for clues and identifying similarities is a great way to keep little ones engaged not only in the story but reading through. Highly recommend it!
Do these Dora books ever get old... I believe with numbers of different factors of interesting fun learning scenarios Dora and Diego go through within the texts, they are a sure win/win for the kiddos!
There are pictures to go with the words. There are lots of clues in this story to find baby Jaguar. It is interesting to see how you can recognize things, but they aren't from who you're looking for.
This book is a level 1 book and within the reading are small pictures with smaller words under the pictures. To help beginning children to learn to read.
In this book it's kind of a 'mystery' for the children listening-reading this book to look at the picture and try and figure out if the animal hiding is baby Jaguar. Dora and Diego are looking for Baby Jaguar and finds him in the unlikeliest place.
