This book is good but I will be the first to admit that I did get lost a few times. Especially with all of the reviewing of the past and then back to the future. When you are reading the book after the crash you can almost convince yourself that there was no affair with Mike Simmon's and that Natalie and Paul are going through a rough patch and are now working on their marriage. And then it really gets weird and Paul starts seeing Mike, he goes to his funeral just to verify that he is dead.

After the accident Paul realizes how close he came to loosing Natalie, he is trying to become the husband that she needs. And then the gifts start arriving, who is sending them? Then when Natalie is finally awake they start talking about Mari and Pierre, two more characters to add to this love triangle. Natalie still does not have all of her memories back so I figure her mind is really confused with all of these twists and turns.

This book will keep you guessing until the very end and then some. I am still not 100% sure that what is coming is Paul's. For me it is hard to believe that Natalie and Mike were together as long as they were and never did more then kiss.

This is my first time reading a novel by this author, and I'm uncertain about my feelings towards this particular book. While I appreciate the storyline's premise, it felt disjointed, rapidly transitioning between scenes. Unfortunately, I found none of the characters likable, making it challenging to desire a positive outcome for them. Nevertheless, I always hope for reconciliation between spouses, and this book did have a heavily ever-after tone. Overall, this was a discouraging read, despite the author's great writing skill.

I was given an advanced copy of this book for free and I am leaving my review voluntarily.
