Journal was separated from her brother and sister at the age of six. For years, she had this image of what she thought her oldest sister, and oldest brother lifestyle might have been like moving past the day that they were both adopted. After a conversation with Harmony after all these years, she already knows that her life was nowhere near as perfect as Journal made it out to be. I really wanted to know how Journal and Genesis’ relationship would have developed. I also was very intrigued by her relationships with her siblings and (potentially) their birth mother. Winnie? How was that going to be handled.
But, overall there are way too many grammatical errors to finish this story. Using “your” instead of “you’re”, the excessive amount of run-on sentences, etc. really ruined the flow of the book for me.
Also, Journal calling Genesis “Da-da” is VERY weird.

Good story POOR EDITING
I love Diamond’s stories, but the writing and editing are not improving. ‘Your’ instead of ‘you’re’ , ‘quite’ instead of ‘quiet’, commas everywhere but where they should be, and so many more errors throughout the book. It’s becoming difficult to read without having to re-read multiple time to understand what she’s trying to convey.

PREDICTABLE
it was okay but everything went exactly how I imagined. Only real mystery is who them boys in Atlanta is that Bryani did dirty, I thought it might be tied back into Hakeem and his crew but I guess not. I’m also not feeling Journal being pregnant and not doing nothing. Like you introduced her as a naive girl and she stayed that in this story too soo. I mean she said she could’ve got into college but chose to follow dusty hakeem so the pattern is her being D*ck dizzy at every turn??? 🍅🍅🍅Where was her growth? Do she have any hobbies like she’s one dimensional af. I also wonder how Slick gonna explain to his “mom” that his new brother killed one of her kids? Like I have the sneaking suspicion that Grady killed Silas and not Cyrus but hopefully the author don’t go that route.

Rushed
Part 2 did not felt rushed and lacked a good plot or character development. It mostly consisted of lackluster sex between Slick and Journal, with her crying the entire story. Total disappointment.

The most clingiest FMCs
I think Journal got on my nerves this book. Why would she nick name Slick “Da Da” for one, that ish is just weird. She cried pretty much about everything and she was too damn clingy to Slick. I am glad that her and Harmony are starting to develop a relationship. Harmony’s reasoning for not trying to find her siblings with the platform that she has as a celebrity was kind of weak. Even with everything that she went through in her childhood, this was because of her parents not because of her siblings, so why take it out on them. Also, Grady’s reasoning for gunning for Slick is crazy. Grady’s 16 year old brother killed himself with a gun purchased at Slick’s store using a fake ID so, Slick is the one he has beef with?! I just didn’t understand the logic in that. This series started out strong but is beginning the water down just a bit. I think it may be lacking a bit of character development but now so much so where I will not continue out the series. I am still intrigued on what happens next. I will rate this 3 stars!

Really Journal???
Man, Journal and all of that crying worked my last nerves. All she did was sleep and cry the whole book. What’s so attractive about that? Then “Slick,” is not a real gansta. Who lets their enemies get the one up on them? Even I know that you always tie up loose ends. The what’s with Journal and all these secrets she keep trying to keep from her man? Then lastly, between Slick and Grady, they should have enough connections to help the girls find Bryani.

I wanted to get through this series, but the book is soooo boring. The first installment was ok interesting enough to get through, but this second part is absolutely driving me insane. This author put sooo much fluff in her books that a really good storyline turns boring because there is just too many words. It’s almost like she’s trying to meet a word count for the book. I believe I read another story of her before and it was the same issue. Too many unimportant things being added to the book, too many descriptions it makes for a really bad read. AND FOR PETES SAKE IT’S “Quiet” not “QUITE” omg the first time I thought it was a mistake but it had never been corrected out of the whole book. It’s so annoying. On top of that Journal has no ambition at all for her life. Her only goal at first was to get a car and then her own place, but now that she’s getting it all handed to her that’s it. Her character has not once expressed any kind of goals she wants to meet for herself she adds NOTHING to this series. She actually becoming unlikable, and China still is a horrible mother which makes her character unlikable and why does she even have chapters? I mean I guess I won’t find out because I didn’t even make it through the Bahamas trip, between the whole scenario with the dude grabbing journal’s butt (because she just had to be a damsel even outta the country, and now slick gotta show that he’s Superman 🙄🙄🙄) and dude that wanna get Slick for his brother unaliving himself I was over it. His reasoning was dumb asl. Anyway I won’t be reading any more of this authors books. She doesn’t know how to edit down and it’s too boring.

Journal has been thru a journey of life ups and downs and tough brakes in her young life. She meets and falls Genesis and her life has changed for the better. Now Journal is pregnant with her and Genesis first child. Genesis has recently found out the his biological mother didn't leave him in the dumpster . Stiches should have told him the truth about his biological mother I get she was trying to protect him from being hurt. Cyrus is doing to much and his down fall has cameback to bite him in the tail. Harmony is in love with Grady Joseph and haven't put a title on their relationship. Slick finds out his biological mother is on drugs and Grady maybe his brothers and find out his younger brother Psalms committed sucide . Winnie has paid back the money she took. Genesis had found out it some snakes in the grass.

Absolutely Amazing Read
Slick kept his word and took excellent care of Journal. He didn't want a hair out of place when it came to her. She was the first woman, other than family to have his heart. Journal was so innocent. Her meeting Bryani shocked her, but also brought her happiness. She loved Genesis, wasn't ashamed of showing how much. Their chemistry was so undeniable. They would show their love anywhere. China kept Journal out of her head. Having her friendship was a definite plus. Slick was trying to handle all business so that Journal could be his main focus. Journal and Harmony deserved the happiness they were receiving from one another after years of being separated. They just had to continue to pray for Bryani. Can't wait to read part three!

Well here we are in Book 2. The crew is back and things are continuing to build up. Journal and Slick got some exciting news that they are both happy with, China and Ferrell are still kicking it strong, but some new players are entering the scene. Journal long lost sister is back and it seems she has the best intentions and here also come the one thing that Slick always wanted, blood family. But with this family comes death, deception and murder. Will Slick be loyal to the wrong side or will he pick a new squad. Can’t wait for the ride from Book 3. So please book 3 me already!!

Diamond D You did it well with this book Genesis found out So many secrets about his real mother .. In the icing on the cake He’s not knowing until now his brother is Grady who is dating Harmony who’s genesis girlfriend, Journal sister .. This is going to be a nice reunion between Brothers Genesis and Grady and harmony and journal are sisters.. Journal is now pregnant with Genesis baby. He’s will allow his brother Grady run the business. Genesis is definitely ready to retire from the streets in Marry journal and live a happy life. Can’t wait to book 3. Please 2025.

Loving it
For some while reading, I just knew that Grady and Slick were brothers. Why I feel like Stitches had something to do with Slick momma Missy being on heavy drugs because she probably wanted him back, and Stitches didn't want to give him back. I don't feel bad for Hakeem nor Cyrus because they knew the consequences while going against Slick. I wonder if Stitches gone feel like Slick killed Cyrus and if she would have beef with him. So many questions, I can't wait to figure out the answers.

Now my handsome man Slick finally finds out some truth about his past but to find out harmony’s man may be his brother is the icing. Ms. Diamond why are you making us wait for all this tea because I need to know what is Missy going to do now and will the family forgive Slick for his decision to give up Syrus.

Omg this is getting juicy by the minute I hate to see children being abused bullied or been denied a normal life. As. Great follow up to part 1...Journal and Genesis really came into their own in Part 2...Journal rekindled her long lost siblings and the surprise of his life was waiting for Genesis in the end as well. Imagine him finding his own family that he never knew existed. I hated the sibling rivalry between him and Caesar....that jealousy got worse and worse. Also happy nothing went far for Winnie and Grady (would have been too much).

But this story is just a good read I love everything about it.. the drama the plot twists and the romance. I love how the men aren't cheating. Man, I’m Diamond Johnson is so excellent at writing. I’ve been on the edge of my seat through this whole book. I cannot wait for part three just when it started getting to the juicy part. It’s a conclusion. I cannot wait for part three diamond five star all the way.

What's next let me know now. I'm like ok and flipping pages on my to see the book is over. I had a feeling that they were brothers. I want to see what happens when Stitches finds out that Cyrus is dead cause that is tea. I loved the book and characters. Lets see where the author takes us next. Great read.

Whew Child
Wow, Diamond has done it again! Baby, I'm so proud of Journal and how far she has grown and become the woman I hope she would be, ironically enough Genesis is too. They have both dealt with so many crossroads between the both of them! I just knew the truth will come out, but I knew that identities would be revealed! I can't wait for part 3!

I definitely wasn’t expecting this to play out like this. I don’t know what I’m shaking my head at the most. I think we all knew journal was gone get pregnant lol I’m kind of happy about Grady and Slick being brothers and forming a bond. I just hope Bryan don’t die. I also feel bad for stitches she love Genesis so much the bond they have is truly of a mother and son.

A lot to unpack in this series. A lot of drama. Journal still crying over everything, annoying. I wish I would have known the second part was tbc I would have waited to read the whole series at one time. A lot of mixed up characters in this part and inconsistentes, which is unlike this author. Whew just as good as the 1st if not better!! I enjoyed being able to read from all the different POV’s and getting to follow Journal and see how her relationship with her boo and siblings turn out. The plots and shady ish definitely keep me glued to each page. Let me run and download book 3

Please don't call him da-da!!
First I'd just like to say this book was getting hot and steamy until JOURNAL called this grown man da-da. Please don't call him that in a sexual way.🤣😂😂😂 that's a baby's first word. Ok now let's get serious, this book and storyline was even better than the first. I knew Grady was an important character!! Very good read with laughter also.

Waited Patiently
Per usual, this was another banger. From the very first book I knew this would be yet another DDJ amazing read and you proved me right. This is a series I cannot wait to see grow and unfold. The characters are well developed, great job D
