FBI agent Blake Wilder is orchestrating a sting operation to dismantle the Arias Cartel, a notorious crime syndicate. Shortly after their undercover operation, an informant is found dead.
Blake and the team dig into the victim’s life, finding a long list of suspects. Then, a mysterious call threatens her life and her team. Blake is rattled upon learning of the intel and sets out to track down the caller. With their undercover op in jeopardy, they return to the safe house to interrogate a list of suspects and run ballistics. Soon, chaos erupts, and Blake and her team are met with a barrage of gunfire. An unexpected ambush!
Who could have tipped them off? With time running against them, the only option they have is kill or be killed.
Crime syndicates, traffickers, cartels, murder, and mayhem. With everything caving in on the team, the only way out is to find the light.

This was another intense and suspenseful case for this awesome group of Agents. However, there were a few intriguing and unexpected developments that were a complete surprise to the teams, especially for Blake. I have a feeling that things are going to get really crazy in the next book! It's definitely not a story or series that you'll want to miss! I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.
Ms. Gray, I have to admit that I kinda hate your face right about now. Lol! That ending was just plain mean!! However, because I absolutely love your work, as well as this awesome series, I guess I will forgive you this time. ;) Thank you for sharing your amazing and incredible talents with us.
I had forgotten how much Blake gets herself hurt, you would think that for someone of her experience and knowledge that she would not put herself in compromised situations and allow the sub to get the drop on her. This is one of those things that frustrate me. On the other had, this book got my confidence back as I'm usually good at figuring the who and the what in the plots but recently, read a book that I did not see the who or the what and I thought I was losing my touch but it turns out that I did not as I got my grove back on this one. I do think the author needs to start wrapping up this series and give Blake and Kit a happy ending.
FBI Agent Blake Wilder and her team are asked to help Sonny a DEA Agent and Blake's current boyfriend take down the Arias Cartel. He also had a CI killed and he is convinced the Cartel did it to get back at him. He doesn't feel his team can investigate without prejudice so Blake agrees with stipulations. While doing the undercover OP on the Cartel case she gets help from and unidentified source. When the case is over and she and her team are home she gets a call from Sonny asking another favor. He send s a picture of a person of interest and asks Blake for help again. When she gets the picture she gets a surprise she wasn't expecting.
Double Cross(Blake Wilder FBI Mystery Thriller Book 27)
OMG!!!!!!!! This book was scary and amazing. I Blake sure finds the scariest and nost dangerous cases. This one she is taking on the Arisa cartel, and the are as dangerous and deadly sociopaths. Blake and her team go undercover to catch these guys as well as the outlaw bikers they use as muscle. They catch the bad guys, but Blake is stabbed in the leg. I can't wait to see what kind of trouble finds Blake and her team next.
The team is working another murder and drugs mystery to help out Blake’s friend. Blake and Astra go undercover as drug dealers and take out groups of drug dealers already in business. There is lots of action that will have you holding your breath.
Another great and suspenseful case for Blake and the team along with Sonny and his team. It is also amazing that Blake is finally relaxing and moving into a relationship. I so look forward to their next case with Sonny transferring up to Seattle so they can be together
I have read the entire Blake Wilder series and I could not put this down until the very twisted ending. Seriously, I read this book in one day because you get hooked from the first page. BRAVO!!!! Elle Gray is one of the very best writer of suspense and leaving you breathless when you read the last sentence.
Blake and her team are up for the battle with cartel killers and unexpected help, from a mystery person. Lots of suspense, some snarky humor, and action keep the pages turning. We'll done!
This was a great story about Blake and team finding out who killed an informant and going after drug people and solving both cases with lots of suspense and action. Thank you very much for this excellent story.
Typical Blake Wilder fashion all the way. So engaging and intense. But, that ending?? Wow!! Don't skip to the end....it won't mean anything unless you read the whole book. I really didn't see that coming!
Blake and her squad help Sonny take down the drug people who was causing problems for the DEA in Arizona. In addition they also solved the murder Sony's CI . The way they did the take down was interesting.
Out in the Southwestern desert, the team’s focus is on assisting the DEA with corralling the cartel tentacles worming their way into Arizona, the DEA field office having two agent casualties.
Following Blake and her teams ops is always interesting. This author never disappoints. Can't wait for the next book and to see where the relationship with Sonny goes.
Great story with just the right amount of action to hold the reader's interest. The characters are realistic and easily believed. This series never fails, it just gets better with each book!
One of the best yet. The tension mounts and you can't wait to get to the next page. I read this in just a few hours as I couldn't put it down. BRAVO Elle Gray BRAVO.
Blake and her team are off to investigate a series of killings of agents working on drug related problems! This time she must go undercover to be effective!
I've always liked Elle Gray books, but gotten into reading other authors lately. After Double Cross, I think I'll be getting back to reading a lot of Elle Gray.
