“We all know the story of Jeffery Dahmer. But what if.....
Things had been just a little different (Dorsch, 2024).”

After reading the book description, I was incredibly intrigued. However, I made the mistake of assuming the author was going to gather inspiration from Dahmer, not completely retell the story but in a female's perspective. To me, this was incredibly lazy and extremely boring. It’s as if she took the scripts of “My Friend Dahmer” and “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,” combined them, and made a few minor changes. If you know the Dahmer story well, I do not recommend this read; it’s a snooze fest.

Happy release day to Carietta Dorsch on her latest macabre masterpiece, Never Be Lonely Again! This book is so good yet so unsettling, you will legitimately question your moral judgement after enjoying it as much as you did. Nothing says Happy Thanksgiving like a fridge full of leftovers, amirite? Now imagine what a cannibal’s fridge…would look like after Thanksgiv… Cuz Carietta tells you exactly what it looks and smells like… Alright can I just cut this here & jump to the quick synopsis? Cuz I totally fumbled this one. 🤦🏽‍♂️

Quick Synopsis:
Imagine being able to go in the inner workings of the criminal mind of a killer. One who hunts their prey, brings them home, incapacitates them, and then does the unthinkable. Sounds like a famous case of true crime, but flips it on its head like a certain The Prodigy music video. What if our lady killer was a lady herself, giving you full details of what she thought before, during, and after her deplorable acts? Including the snowball effect that created such a monster who didn’t start out that way, she just wanted to end her loneliness.

Carietta definitely took a risk with this one, but knocked it out of the park IMHO. While controversial, the author goes out of her way to pay respects to the victims, etc but still delivers a compelling answer to “how could this have happened?” First and foremost, Carietta’s writing style is incredibly detailed and crisp. There were parts of this that were so graphic and shocking-I wanted to pull away but the flow just sucked me in-riding the wave of revulsion. I loved her debut Unmarked Grave, which was a gut-punch in itself, but it’s amazing to be able to watch an already great author become better before your very eyes. This book won’t be for everyone, but I recommend it. If anything to enjoy a well hashed out story that will take you through all the levels, whether you like it or not.

Coming from someone who has lived in Wisconsin their entire life, Jeffrey Dahmer is a sensitive subject, even all these years later. It feels like this gross thing that attaches to you and you want it to simultaneously go away but also need to know more. Every time I know something involves Jeffrey Dahmer, I need to read it or watch it or know more. His crimes forever changed the world. So many of us still cannot fathom what a monster he was.

In this book, it’s like seeing through the eyes of Dahmer, only things have slightly changed - Dahmer is a lady and she is a lesbian. Carietta does a great job channeling that guttural feeling of loneliness we may have all felt momentarily throughout our life. The way loneliness consumes Lady Dahmer is almost.. sad. Carietta writes some gory, taboo, super sexual scenes in this book and you will feel like you’re right there experiencing it.

All these years and so many of us are still truly baffled how such a monster existed. I appreciate that there is a level of respect that Carietta still continues to give to a story like this.

Check it out soon! Happy reading 📖

Carietta's retelling of Jeffrey Dahmer was unsettling and memorable. This book takes you through a female version of Dahmer and her story/crimes. Carietta's version is definitely worth a read, especially if you are familiar with the case. This retelling has plenty of blood and gore while still having an emotional hold on the reader. Her descriptions are very detailed, it made it very easy to visualize what was happening. She didn't want to be alone anymore..

This book was bad.

It was poorly written and was literally just copy and paste of Dahmer’s life. There was no originality to this, no new take/perspective, literally the only thing different was the gender swap. The writing was so dry and flavourless it was hard to get through.

I wanted to like this book but I just couldn’t, I pushed through bc I hoped it would get better or that she’d put some cool spin on it but nope. Just a bunch of flashbacks that lasted for too long and took up far too much of the book. The author spent an excessive amount of time writing about the main character murdering and having sex w different corpses. Like girl, we get it.

There comes a point where it stops being art and starts to become fetishization, and I really feel like this bled too far into fetishization. The idea of this sounded great but the execution was really bad. So much waisted potential. Theres good books out there about this topic, this just isn’t one.

Carietta Dorsch’s Never Be Lonely Again is an unflinching, brutal, and utterly captivating journey into the mind of a profoundly disturbed character. This is not a book for the faint-hearted—it’s raw, visceral, and unrelenting in its exploration of isolation, obsession, and violence. Dorsch takes extreme horror to new heights, crafting a narrative that is both grotesquely fascinating and disturbingly intimate.

🚨 Spoilers Ahead! 🚨

The story follows Joyce, a deeply lonely and troubled protagonist whose descent into madness is both horrifying and heartbreakingly relatable. Isolated from a young age by neglectful parents, Joyce finds solace in her fascination with anatomy and her disturbing experiments on roadkill. However, her yearning for connection soon warps into something far darker.

One of the most shocking moments is when Joyce captures a hitchhiker named Stephanie early in the book. The scene where Joyce “plays” with Stephanie’s remains is described in excruciatingly graphic detail, from the slicing of flesh to the surreal moments of macabre intimacy. Joyce’s chilling line, “You’ll never leave me now,” encapsulates the twisted desperation driving her actions.

Dorsch doesn’t shy away from the grotesque, yet amidst the carnage, there’s a poignant undercurrent of longing. Joyce’s inner monologues reveal a desperate need to be loved and understood, making her both a monster and a tragic figure. Her interactions with Stephanie’s remains are written with a strange tenderness, highlighting the warped humanity at the core of her psychosis.

The pacing is relentless, with each chapter pulling readers deeper into Joyce’s fractured psyche. The climax—where Joyce’s grotesque attempts at preserving Stephanie’s essence escalate into full-blown madness—is as haunting as it is inevitable. The final lines, where Joyce reflects on her actions in a police interrogation room, leave a lingering sense of unease: “I know I’m a monster, but monsters are just what’s left when love runs dry.”

Dorsch’s prose is unflinching and evocative, painting vivid and often stomach-churning images that stay with you. Her ability to delve into the darkest corners of the human mind while maintaining a thread of empathy for her protagonist is truly remarkable.

Never Be Lonely Again is not just a story of horror; it’s a meditation on the devastating effects of isolation and the human need for connection. It’s deeply disturbing, brilliantly written, and unapologetically extreme. For fans of Splatterpunk and transgressive horror, this is an absolute must-read.

We all know the story of Jeffrey Dahmer and the horrible crimes he committed to 17 men between 1978-1991, now reimagine that time but Dahmer is a lesbian and his crimes were committed to women. Carietta has delivered a depraved retelling of just that.

I was lucky to receive an arc of Never Be Lonely Again by the talented Carietta Dorsch, thank you so much! In this story we have Dahmer, who is a lesbian, and we read about her crimes. This goes back and forth from her committing crimes to her being in jail. We read just how she felt while doing these brutal crimes and her reasoning why. We feel her loneliness, her pain, but also the innocent lives that were taken.

The deaths were very erotic, very taboo, very well written. Carietta has a way with words, especially the taboo subjects. I loved it! Because this story is something that truly happened, Dorsch wrote it will full respect and I appreciate that. I think we've all felt a sense of loneliness in our lives and Dorsch was able to make us feel that throughout this story. I highly recommend this! Grab a copy of Never Be Lonely Again today!

IF YOU LIKE HEARTFELT STORIES WITH BLOOD AND GUTS IN 55 GALLON DRUMS, THIS IS THE BOOK FOR YOU!
My friend Carietta Dorsch’s retelling of the Jeffrey Dahmer story was eye-opening to say the least. It was the first time I read something and was like, “I should really put this down and call my therapist,” but the story wouldn’t let me go.
This is not for the faint of heart, or those who just want to dip their toe into the Splatterpunk and Extreme Horror subgenres (seriously: if you were going to list the trigger warnings on this, the list would be as long as the book!). But if you want to take a running leap off the high dive into a pool of blood and other bodily fluids, you should check this one out.

If you love true crime in any way, this is the book for you. We all know about the horrible things that Jeffery Dahmer did years ago, luring his victims, drugging them, killing them, and then eating parts of them. But what would have happened if he was a female and did these unspeakable crimes to young unsuspecting women? Well that is what happens in Never Be Lonely Again. You follow the female version of Dahmer as she commits her crimes and as she struggles with what she has done and is doing. The author also does an amazing job of giving you the one piece everyone always wants the answers to, what was going on in their head to make them want to do this. This was a great read and I highly suggest you check this one out.

An eerily accurate depiction of Jeffrey Dahmer's descent into madness reimagined with creative liberties from a writer whose prose is truly refined and poetic. I adored this work, as the writing accessed a part of me that caved into the haunting loneliness of our main character. The reader will be torn and shredded into pieces at the respective glance into the eyes of a serial killer who aches to quell her pain in this melancholic masterpiece.
I highly recommend this work, as it withered away parts of me that aren't often accessed by short horror fiction. It is as repulsive as it is emotional while diving deep into a Dahmer-esque tale of depravity. All with an undertone that provides a distinct message about our society and challenges the conceptualizations we have set in place.

This November 28th marks the 30th anniversary of Jeffrey Dahmar's death. It also marks the release of Carietta Dorsch's latest book, Never Be Lonely Again.

Check out that cover by Professor Brutality. Digging it.

In this outing, Carietta treats us to a What If? tale. What if the Dahmar murders were retold through the eyes of a lesbian woman? Intrigued? I certainly was.

Carietta has certainly made a name for herself in the genre and continues to impress me with her slick writing style. She treats us to a story that is both violent and heartbreaking from the first page to the last. Once you start reading, you won't stop until the very end. Another winner from a talented author. Looking forward to more! Definitely check it out.

Never Be Lonely Again by Carietta Dorsch

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I'm not even going to try to be clever.

This was a PERFECT work of Splatterpunk genius!

I haven't read something that has gotten to me the way this story has. I've watched many a documentary of the life, murders and death of Jeffrey Dahmer, but never before did I feel like I may have had a sense of what may have been going on in his disturbed psyche.

I don't want to say anything more because I believe this is best when taken on blind.

This was a WILD ride written by an exceptionally artistic author.

BRING ON MORE CARIETTA DORSCH!

“Dark thoughts consume my mind: The desire to possess, control, consume. It's a hunger that can never be satisfied, a thirst that can never be quenched”

You’ve heard the story of Jeffrey Dahmer, but not like this. Dorsch has written a dark and fresh “what if” scenario, what if Dahmer was a woman? I very quickly fell in love with the authors beautiful yet twisted writing, sucked in by how eloquently she describes what it truly means to be lonely, and how far someone might go to fill that void.

“My bones were my friends, and if I could just gather more I would have more friends to surround myself with, and then I wouldn't be lonely any longer.”

This book was a somber, poetic reflection on a serial killer. At first, it seems like another extreme horror book: violence galore, sexual depravity, etc, but about halfway in, you get a really shockingly beautiful look into someone who is clearly damaged. The book doesn’t try to romanticize being an awful person, but instead, it makes the reader ponder, what would’ve happened if people Dahmer got help? Did they deserve help before they killed? Strangely beautiful, intense, and a masterwork of extreme contrast, this is my favorite book I’ve read By Dorsch

Carietta Dorsch's Never Be Lonely Again is a gender-swapped story loosely inspired by serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer. Told in the first-person narrative, it takes you on a gruesome and emotional journey from the driver’s seat.

I’ve always found it fascinating to explore the darkness of a serial killer through their point of view, and this book does it incredibly well. Carietta strikes a careful balance: she keeps the reader just sympathetic enough to stay immersed in the story while never losing sight of the disturbing source material.

I highly recommend this book.

Many of us know the Jeffrey Dahmer story and the horrors he inflicted upon others. Now just imagine if he had been a lesbian woman. This is Carietta Dorsch’s retelling.

This story was so vivid. Although graphic and brutal it was beautifully written just like many prior works of Dorch’s.

There were a couple particular scenes that really stuck with me and had me audibly stating “wtaf” several times. Loneliness can be the biggest monster of all.

I read Never be Lonely Again by Carietta Dorsch . This was my first time reading her work, and I was blown away!
This book is a lesbian retelling of Jeffrey Dahmer's story. Yes, imagine Dahmer was a lesbian woman, picking up women, taking them home, and doing all the things to them. All the things!
Carietta has written some brutal scenes, but that's not all this book is about. She really delves into how loneliness affects this character, pushing them to do the things they do.

Raw, unflinching, and utterly unforgettable—this lesbian reimagining of Jeffrey Dahmer’s story pulls no punches. The visceral prose grips you by the throat and drags you into a twisted, intoxicating world of obsession and tragedy. Bold, brutal, and heartbreakingly human, it’s a gut-wrenching exploration of desire, monstrosity, and the blurred line between them. Highly recommended for readers who crave darkness wrapped in masterful storytelling.

From the very first page, you know this story is going to be so sick and brutal! I loved the gory details. Reading this from the perspective of a Dahmer-esque character made it even more sick and twisted. I guess I thought this wouldn’t be Dahmer as a woman, but inspired by Dahmer. It would’ve been cool if the mc did these things because they were inspired by the life of Dahmer. Overall, incredibly graphic and engaging!

I was fascinated by a “female Jeffrey Dahmer” story and since it was so short, I decided to download this on my kindle and read it.
When the synopsis said “we all know the story of Jeffrey Dahmer. But what if….. things had been just a little different”, I didn’t realize that the “little different” part would be that the Dahmer character in this book is female. This was literally a copy/paste of Dahmer’s story. Sad. It could have been great with an original storyline.

I enjoyed the concept of dahmer as a female serial killer. But that is where my interest ended.it was a re-telling of dahmer's crimes. I feel like the author could've done so much more and had a better, more horrifying story if it was not a retelling. Now, take my opinion with a grain of salt.- I have a fairly good knowledge of dahmer, Bundy, BTK,
etc. So retellings are not a good choice for me,. It was well written and had a good pace, but the female Dahmer didn't have any bite.

Never be lonely again

Oh you know it’s going to be good when the very first page doesn’t hold anything back 👌🏻

A retelling of Dahmer but make it female. This was brutal, gorey, perverse & cleverly done in the way of telling the story from her perspective. It’s so risky to do a book on this but for EH/Splatterpunk fans this is perfect

It’s 70 pages of eye watering savagery, so not for the faint hearted. Definitely check your triggers before this one!

3.5 🌟 from me 🤎

I don’t usually pick up books in this genre. But when I heard about it on TikTok and someone recommended it and called it “Jeffery Dahmer if he was a lesbian” I was intrigued. This book was very dark, even though I try to stay away from dark themed books it was a nice opposite of the normal romance/LGBTQ+ romance I read! It was almost too dark for me at times but this book was good :3

A lesbian retelling of Jeffery Dahmer what's not love
about this book. Under100 pages. It's depraved.
It's vile. It's written in true Carietta fashion
and makes me question my morals.
If you like your fmc's unhinged, gruesome and
imaginative murders, and some of the most vivid
descriptions, go check this one out.
Absolutely loved this.

Quick read but I don’t know it’s was quite repetitive, it also lack originality it’s just didn’t work for me, word by word of things we knew about dehmar but just written from a woman version- it felt like i was reading a script from the nexflix series- decent writing but honestly left me feeling meh

Basically a re-telling of what Dahmer did but through the lens of a female version of him. And definitely splatterpunk so if that’s not your type of horror you will not like it. Giving it 3 stars because I personally liked reading the POV especially when she talked about trying to fill the void and loneliness. There was powerful parts to it inbetween the gore and blood that I could appreciate.

The story of Jeffrey Dahmer is very well known, but it's never been told like this. This fantastic story takes the facts and twists them into an in depth character piece told from the perspective of a female Dahmer. Added to the great story are pages filled with gore, violence, and spiciness. It all blends into a fast paced, brutal alternate history style tale of one of America's most heinous serial killers. Dorsch has hit a home run with this one.

Reading this felt like slipping behind the eyes of Dahmer — but with a twist…This is Lady Dahmer. She’s not just a killer; she’s complex, lonely, and desperate for connection. And that desperation? It consumes her.
This book pulls no punches. It dives straight into the dark and gruesome, unapologetically raw. It’s disturbing, emotional, and deeply haunting.
