Can their love, weather distance and tragedy or will it tear them apart?

Marnie Perez grew up knowing two things. That family is the center of her universe and with a solid work ethic you could accomplish anything. As a young and talented pastry chef, and the owner of a bakery in Primrose, she is at the peak of her success and seemingly has it all. That is until her world was turned upside down when the handsome and enigmatic, Davis Baxter walks into her life.

As a young man Davis had one aspiration, to serve his country. Having enlisted out of high school he now served as a Peacekeeper overseas and seldom made the trek home to his hometown of Primrose. When he is offered the opportunity to come home for two weeks over the Christmas holidays, he jumps at the chance to go home and see his sister Bea. Little does he know that he’ll have to live with her beautiful and dynamic roommate, Marnie during his leave.

Their attraction is instant and undeniable. However, with only two weeks together, their journey of love, self-discovery, and sacrifice is put to the test. Will they be able to overcome the obstacles of time, distance, and tragedy, or will their love be torn apart?

Set in the charming town of Primrose, Prairie Hearts is a heart-warming tale of love and perseverance. With its small-town charm and endearing characters, this book will take you on a journey of love, self-discovery, and sacrifice, proving that sometimes the road to happily ever after is not a straight line.

This is the 4th book in Tanya’s Primrose series. And I’ve loved her series from the beginning. And reminds me of true life’s simplicity’s and struggles.

Prairie Hearts touched my heart. What a beautiful story. I cried and I laughed. Tanya did a great job of writing a story that grabbed me and kept me wanting to know what happens next. It was a smooth easy story to follow. I appreciated Marnie’s character. She was a strong indeed woman. I liked that she had kept herself for a special person. Her character was written in a way that I could easily picture her. I also really liked the description of Davis. He sounded like a loyal caring man who wasn’t afraid to love and show Marnie just how he felt. They handled the dips well and they actually drew them closer together. Well done Tanya!

This is the fourth installment in the Primrose series and my favourite so far!
Davis and Marnie are sweet and kind. Their love story follows an unexpected path and endures many hardships along the way. But ultimately wins out (of course!!)

Renee offers a look into small town/rural living in her stories, reminding me of simpler times when families gathered and shared together in all of life's intricacies. Her stories cover so many deep topics but in a way that isn't triggering or hard to read.
I've enjoyed the journey through Primrose so far and can't wait to see what comes next!

3.5 out of 5 stars -this book has a lot of flashbacks of when they first met, which is fine but I hate flashbacks so that took away from how I felt about this book-a total ‘me problem’ but did affect my review
-this couple had problems and loved how their story played out
