I liked it but there was a lot lacking for me personally. I loved book 1 and expected some epic grovel and angst. And while I did get some of that, I felt like I needed more. The guys royally messed up and almost killed Omen with their rejection. I wanted more deep discussion instead of sorrys and we'll never leave you affirmations. Omen was pretty weak through most of it, coming off as whiny when I wanted her to be strong and demand more from her pack.

I also really hated how Nebula who was responsible for this whole mess bonded Omen when she was in heat and hadn't consented. She hadn't even begun to trust him again yet. I had hoped the pack would talk about just how wrong it was, instead it led her down a quick path to bonding them all and forgiving them for almost killing her. Bea for all her talk didn't do much other than keep them away from Omen for a bit. I wanted rage instead I got meh, they're your fated mates, blah blah. The grovel was decent but nothing I haven't read before in other books. Apologies, creating a nest of her dreams, etc.

Lastly, I can't believe I'm saying this but once the biggest drama was over, which came pretty early in the book, and Omen started letting them bond her, the sex became page filler. I actually started skimming which is rare in a spicy scene for me. I feel like we traded actual conversation for lengthy sex scenes. Also, if the pack is truly trying to grovel, I hate when an author has the alphas telling her stuff like "you come when I tell you to come." I know it's an alpha thing but they should be constantly on their knees and never expect her to beg for anything from them. I repeat. They almost killed her.

So overall I don't regret reading it. I'm hoping Bea gets a good book but it wasn't the epic grovel book I was hoping for

The grovel here was 🤌🤌🤌.

I really loved getting more of everyone's backstory. It definitely made you feel more connected to the characters. Seeing their relationship unfold was really great too. The author did a fantastic job of Omen slowly trusting them. The grovel was fantastic but she didn't accept right away and I loved that.

I did feel like, especially towards the end, the spice started to over power the plot just a little bit. If it wasn't for that one small thing this would definitely be a five star for me.

"Teamwork makes the orgy work."

Thank you to the author for this gifted arc

I'm not sure how I feel about this one. The groveling wasn't bad, but I expected maybe more in-depth conversations about the pain they caused. Especially considering the fmc almost dies from it. I wish she would've spoken to them more. The ending felt a little anti climactic for my tastes, too.

I was also hoping to see more of the panic from the Alphas while Omen was in the hospital. It felt weird that they didn't show up for her, knowing she was injured so severely.

As for the epilogue, it was cute, but I really wish their fated connection (the skin writing) was used a bit more, especially when she tells them she's pregnant. That would've pushed the cute factor way up for me.

I didn't hate the book, but it felt really easy to skim. I did get emotional when the pack saw her the first time after the rejection, but I'd have liked to know more about what they felt during her stay, knowing she could barely walk up the stairs. And I wish we would've seen them pushing to care for her a bit sooner. Overall, not a horrible book, but if I go back to read it, it'll probably only be the second book, and even then, I'll probably skip a few parts.

Though it's not technically bad writing it doesn't deliver on the premise of a grovel. The mmcs are casual and careless about the fmc's mortal danger during the first half of the book and then whiny about their predicament the rest of the book, for which they are in due to their own cruelty and selfishness. One mmc gets entirely too much credit for going to therapy. Two others remain so passive throughout the story it doesn't seem like it would matter if the fmc didn't choose them. The fourth is avoidant to the point it causes harm. They end up literally buying her forgiveness with gifts and property. The fmc takes them back entirely too quickly so there's really no consequences to their cruelty in the first book. She also does a whole lot of internal self blaming which is gag worthy. It's an undeserved and unearned redemption. I had to rage skim the last 30% to just get it over with.

The plot is also weirdly organized and unbalanced. At the point she has a major heat spike there are 4 more unrelated chapters of regular life events before her heat fully starts. The back 60% needed to be resorted and heavily edited down. It was way too long and drawn out.

What a conclusion to the duet this book was.
I was hooked. Omen was so distraught after what had happened at the end of book 1, but man, did she make her men work for her forgiveness.

This book gave me all of the feels!! I laughed and cried and definitely swooned! These men know how to show that they are sorry.

I was so invested in the story I couldn't put it down and was desperate to find out what would happen next.

This book was so well written and has made me totally fall in love with Omegaverse, and I can't wait to read more and especially from the characters that we met in this book.

A gentle, steady, yet relentless grovel. Were the men perfect at it? No, but they observed Omen, listened to her, and adapted their behaviors accordingly. They tried giving her space in the beginning, then once they realized that made things worse, they carefully and lovingly drew her out. Titan taking her on motorcycle rides, Callisto making sure she was pampered, Neb cooking for and feeding her, and Nexus flirting and making her laugh...these were all small things that, bit by bit, built her confidence and trust back up. I adored each member of the pack by the time this was all said and done, and I can't wait for Bea and Hannah's books!

The mask is off and her secrets have been revealed.

This is a great conclusion to this duet, these men grovel their hearts out, pure grovelling gold! I loved that we got more backstory and grow a deeper connection to these characters. Omen is a boss and really makes these guys work for her forgiveness and I love it! This is a great omega verse world and I love how the story took me in an emotional ride, laughter, tears, you name it.

Check TWs and enjoy the action, suspense and spice in this fantastic duet.

WOW—what a fantastic conclusion to The Primordial Covenant Duet! After finishing book one, I was sure Nebula would stay on my “do not like” list, but J.C. Belenac really worked some magic here. The groveling? Absolute chef’s kiss. And the character growth, especially Nebula’s, was so satisfying to witness. Seeing him evolve from someone I couldn’t stand to someone I actually rooted for was a twist I didn’t see coming! 👏

This book had everything I was hoping for: high stakes, heartfelt moments, and just the right amount of spice to keep things exciting.

I have been on a rejected mates kick recently and this one was a great addition to my list of reads. The drama is very high in this one. There is quite a bit of grovel, but if I'm being honest, there seemed a lot more self flagellation in this book than grovel. In this book, the reader gets a lot of the MMCs' POV and its just a lot as there are four of them. Sometimes I just wanted to shake them and just tell them to snap out of it and DO something, which they do in their own ways.

I have no idea how to rate this so I am just shoving 3 stars as a placeholder. I know book two gets a lower rating than book one.

But I cannot decide what a fair rating would be since I normally avoid the rejected mates trope because it is so triggering to me. It is out of character for me to continue on in a reject mates series, but curiosity won so I read this book despite that.

While I otherwise loved book one aside from this trope, this book heavily relied on the rejected mates trope as a core element and took it to new lows so I cant say I enjoyed this book much. I did like some characters and the world itself, and basically the non romance plot stuff.

But I really hate aspects of this book which completely ruined the romance for me. Which is the whole point of this book/genre.

I am so angry with how a certain someone treated not only the fmc but his own pack mates who were having a hard time dealing with this fallout as well. I get being angry and i get not fully willing to listen to someone else and letting your gut judgment rule you. I get lashing out without thinking and then regrettingit. I get it.

I get his pain. I really do.

But I honestly think he crossed a line that never should be crossed and is unforgivable.

He left her to die. He rejected he knowing from experience when fated mates are rejected. And was purposefully cruel to her because he liked her and the found out who her sperm donor was and who her older brother was. He was cruel because he could be. A bully who sees your are down so hits you where it hurts the most because that pettiness makes him feel better for a moment.

The love interest in a romance book left the other person to die out of hate. How is this romance? How to you come back from here? Can you?

Be hurt she knew your fated connection and hid it. Fine. Reasonable. Be hurt you now have to wrap your mind around the fact her family hurt your family. I get it. You need time.

But this gave me the ick so bad since he was a love interest and as a HEA was promised, that meant they would get together and there would be sexy times after all of this.

I appreciate he went to therapy. And the petty side of me loves that they were hurting and drowning in guilt when they found out she was practically at deaths door. Serves them right. They needed to what was happening and to be held accountablefor their actions so they can fix them.

But I really don't see how building her a nest after she rejected entering the nest room and some basic human kindness in taking care of her so she doesn't die equals redemption or groveling.

Yes, they said they were sorry a billion times. But actions speak louder than words. Especially since they kept telling her they would never leave her again and yet were constantly leaving her. Perhaps the person with justifiable abandonment issues should not be left while they are sleeping so they wake up alone. I mean just a thought.

It was like this whole section of the book was miscommunication/lack of communication and not doing what you say so she could be constantly hurt to keep up the tension.

Seeing the MMCs in pain does not equal growing from their past and proving they've changed and are worthy. Basically the FMC's choice was die or bond with the people who have already proven they will not stay and have failed to show how they've changed and risk death if they bail again. Bonding is a serious topic in Omegaverse and I needed them to show her they were better more than they did to move past it into a world where bonding would be natural and not leave me feeling icky.

I think this book move way to fast into smutty times, especially since I don't think they proved themselves to her at that stage, especially the one dude. So they were awkward to read.

I am curious about Bea's book. But with how things kind of fell apart for me which reading this one, I am kind of terrified to pick it up.

Okay

So I'll admit there are portions of the first book I was too angry to read and I'm not even sure why I opened the next book when I knew my personal desire to throw Nebula in burning acid probably wasn't going to happen. Do they improve yes and yes they're almost tolerable at the end. I didn't end the series completely hating Nebula but I can't say that I liked him either. Also the Nebula, Nexus thing constantly had me confusing characters and often I had to flip back in chapters to know whose point of view I was in because their character voices weren't distinctive enough to know without looking. The below chapter title Playlist was ridiculously distracting to me as a reader as well. It's not the same as quotes because a quote opening instantly shows you a connection to the chapter either revealing how it fits or hinting at what's to come in that chapter. Song titles often by bands I've never even heard of don't do that for me. A song title and band name gives the expectation that the reader actually knows those songs and if you do I'm sure it's a great add on, if you're the type that can listen to music while reading without being entirely pulled from the story maybe its useful but when you need silence to prevent distraction from the story and don't already know the songs it's a constant yanking from the plot. I wish the author had just put her song list with a chapter suggestion in it at the front and not thrown it into the body of the work. I'm sure it's lovely for readers than can do both but as a reader that can't it was really distracting.

The world building was in depth and interesting and the plot had so much happening with it that it's hard to deny Belenac has some serious talent as a writer. When the point of view came from Omen the behaviors are distinctive it's when she switched that its difficult because the voices continued to sound like Omen. This story has so much potential its practically overflowing with it but to me as a reader it doesn't stick the landing. I also felt like what the guys did to her Nebula especially was overly minimized and to be honest I didn't feel like any of them ever had the right to be angry with her at all. I don't think Omen was wrong to keep her secrets ever. And the fact that they ever did and the manner in which they behaved made me feel like nothing they did after could ever make them deserve her. That said if you're the more forgiving sort with a lot better attention skills than me you might really enjoy the story.

“You deserve the world, starlight, and if living without us is the way to get it, that is the most important thing of all.”

I will start by saying that I was given an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review. These opinions are my own. Thank you so much to J.C. for sending a copy my way!

This is a sequel; I will try and keep my review as spoiler free as possible but just be wary if you haven’t read first book, This Fate that Guide Us.

These Bonds that Unites Us was a stellar conclusion to Omen’s story. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time to see what would win, Pack Graves grovelling and proving that they were worthy of Omen or Omen’s chemical rejection.

The cliffhanger ending of This Fates that Guide Us left me completely lost on what would happen next in the story. Pack Graves as well and truly messed up. Omen’s secrets hurt them, and they rejected her, causing her body to shut down. Rejection can kill Omega. Being rejected from her fated mates is killing Omen. With nothing to lose, Omen risked her life and headed back home to help Federal agents get a confession which would shut down the anti-designation cult. The mission is dangerous. When the body cam footage goes live, Pack Graves realises their mistake and does what they can to help save Omen. But is it too little too late?

It was a shame that Omen almost dying was what it took for the guys to see past their own hurt and anger and understand that she’s been in witness protection. Her hiding her past has less to do with keeping information from them and more with keeping her alive. I appreciated that they took the time to process why Omen’s omission of truth triggered them and they did their best to understand her preceptive.

This romance has a ton of angst. I appreciated how cautious Omen was about diving back into her relationship with Pack Graves. She’s terrified that something will cause them to change their mind and reject her again. The pack understands that words alone aren’t enough to convince her. They must prove themselves as worthy mates. Lucky for them, Omen’s doctor recommends that she live with them to help stabilise her condition. We have some fantastic, forced proximity. I adore the way the guys slowly woo and court her while also giving her space. We have a ton of grovelling! It was perfect and, honestly, the least they could do after almost killing her.

If you are an Omegaverse fan looking for a new author and world to try out, I highly recommend this duet.

These Bonds That Unite Us by JC Belenac was a 4-star read overall for books 1 & 2.

I liked that JC wrote this omegaverse a little differently than most. It had almost a bit more 'magic' element than a traditional omegaverse. I thought it was clever to be able to write to your fated mate with a marker on your skin and send it to them directly with the intention of who you want to send it to.
There was a lot of growth that needed to happen between the alphas. Knowing they messed up royally, and that it affected the FMC so much to the point of her health being threatened added another thing to be sorry for.

After getting to know the FMC for some time, you'd think the guys would know and believe her character after it being brought into question for who her family is. Understanding that shes a victim too and is innocent, yet blowing up and cutting all tied with her so drastically in a time of need seemed to be the cherry on top for the bond to start dissolving. I wanted there to be more growing and groveling then there was. While I think there was growth and development between the characters, I think it didn't feel as smooth or genuine as it could, and it went on for 90% of the book. There comes a point where the forgiveness has set in, and you can start to move on and grow/love/learn, and start to make new memories. It took a long time for that to happen, and there was a lot more of the guys feeling guilty, sulking, and dragging their feet. I know they needed to grovel, but there needs to be a balance of the plot and not prolong the story unnecessarily just because. At times, I also felt like guys also got a lot more time together than they did with the fmc. They all clearly loved each other so much you could feel it, but I didn't feel the same when it came towards the fmc. It could've been great as an all male pack--it didn't seem like anyone really NEEDED or had to have her in their life-they were all actually doing just fine without her.

Overall, I would recommend this story to anyone who loves omegaverse with guys who royally mess up, need to grovel, and do so for a long period of time while they have to repair their relationship from scratch.

This was the continuation of the story in This Fate that Guides Us. It picks up right at the cliffhanger we were left with at the end of book one. I really enjoyed how this book was set up. At the beginning, we got a lot of action and suspense. So not only were both the Alphas and Omen dealing with the mistakes that were made in book one, but they were also dealing with Omen and her family. While my heart was hurting for Omen as she was battling her rejection sickness, my heart was also being ripped apart by how poorly Nexus was dealing with the separation. I really loved this story, especially when combined with book one. I read so many omegaverses and this was just something so different. I enjoyed the suspense of the plot point of Omen’s family and especially it’s connection to the Alphas. But I am always a fan of the Alphas making big mistakes and having to earn the Omega back.
Omen is just one of the bad*ss Omega. Going into the lion’s den while she is literally dying has me reading her in awe. It definitely went in the Alphas’ favor that she literally needed them. She didn’t just give in and put them through their paces, but she also knew that the only thing to cure her illness was them. I know that some people may want a little more grovel from the Alphas because they are the ones that royally screwed up, but I appreciate when we don’t spend the entire book holding on to the past. The one exception for me was Nebula. There were times I found myself so irritated with him. He was a royal jerk, not bothering to actually listen. I know he went through a lot with his sister, but not giving his fated mate the chance to explain what she had been through was just crappy.

This Omegaverse was such an interesting world to read. When you have read as much omegaverses as I do, you relish when you get something new. That’s what we got here. I am definitely ranking this as one of my top omegaverses. It has such wonderful spice, but I thought that the story really shined. I am such a huge fan of this duet. It has substance, enjoyable writing, and characters that you can really connect with. This is more than a basic omegaverse.

Omegaverse lovers listen up! You need to stop what you're doing and read This Fate That Guides Us if you haven't already. Because you need to experience this duet when These Bonds That Unite Us releases on January 10, 2025! This is far from a sweet omegaverse so prepare yourself for some darker themes that continue from TFTGU. J.C. created some amazing characters that encapsulate perfect imperfection. They may not always behave the way you would dream for someone to in an ideal world, but I appreciate that they are reacting appropriately to their experiences and circumstances. And as painful as that is, it feels real. I felt ALL the feels. Pack Graves does not consist of a bunch of guys with no faults and it made the entire story feel that much more relatable.

Not that Omen's headspace in TFTGU was sunshine and rainbows, but she is drastically worse off in TBTUU. Understandably so, but my heart felt so much sadness for her. The grovel from Pack Graves was both painful and amazing. I really appreciated the reality of how this was written. Omen didn't just roll over and forgive them at the first apology. There was way more trauma to overcome and I absolutely adore reading about PTSD and hurt/comfort micro tropes.

I really loved the way J.C. structured her Omegaverse. The way the world worked and specifically, the fated mate dynamics, is a fun twist. I was devouring all the angst throughout this book. The book starts off with some very fast-paced danger and there are several other moments that had me on the edge of my seat. I felt like I couldn't read this book fast enough despite finishing it in under 30 hours. And don't worry - the spice was also definitely spicin'! You get everything we look for in an Omegaverse!

This duet will be taking its rightful place as one of my most favorite Omegaverse stories of all time and I cannot wait to see what J.C. Belenac gives us next!

If you, like me, were absolutely loosing their mind over that cliffhanger..this book more than made up for it.

For people who love a ton of grovel.. this book will be right up your ally. I loved how the book didn’t jsut start with them going after her. She was dealing with her dad on her own.. her declining health from being rejected.. and then she decided to handle her father her own way. All she wanted was for other omegas and alphas to be safe from her terrible father.. so she goes to sacrifice herself to stop him.

The best part? The pack has to WATCH HER this entire time. They have to see what they did to her, how terrible her health is, how she’s so close to death, and see her sacrifice herself to an absolute monster. The angst is mfing everything

The grovel, like I said, is so good. The boys do everything (including crawling to her) to prove to her that they love her and that they’re sorry. The character growth for this entire book was just beautiful to watch.

This story… is absolutely heartbreaking and perfect. It will break your soul and then put it back together again. What Omen goes through.. what her pack goes through and the way they wind up becoming a pack WITH HER.. it’s just absolutely heart wrenching and absolute perfection.

Not to mention, JC’s writing is absolutely chef’s kiss. Her writing is lyrical without being pretentious. It’s engaging without being verbose. It is BAFFLING to me that this duet was her first published works. Not only does she write incredibly characters and plot, but her voice as an author is just fantastic. I am a fan for life.

This will continue to be one of my favorite Duets of all time. It will absolutely be a reread. Honestly, it’s the best Duet of 2024 hands down. Im forever grateful to JC for taking a chance and letting me Alpha read both books for her months ago and letting me into this world. I can’t wait to find out what she comes up with next!

“You make quite the sight curled up together, my sweet mates. I could bask in your beauty for eternity and still wish to engrave your image on my mind. Enjoy your bath, I’ll be back to collect you when food is ready.”

Omen and the guys deal with the physical and emotional fallout of her truth being revealed.

Themes include:
Family.
Past history.
Psychological trauma.

The plot, characters, and world building are mostly consistent. I did notice a minor inconsistency in how much time had passed at one point. The characters were also annoyingly relatable in the way that they agonized over things. It was just a little bit repetitive, but not so much that it made me want to put the book down.

At times, the writing was a little too poetic for my taste, and I skimmed more than once when characters started internally monologuing about how amazing someone was, or the lengths they'd go to in order to make things right.

Despite that, it did make the relationships feel as though they developed more organically. Occasionally, the intense feelings brought a tear to my eye.

Bonus points to the author: They had an opportunity to use the tired, old, and much overused line about someone being the death of them, and chose to get creative instead.

I noticed some easily missed (and ignored) errors in spelling here and there, but nothing too egregious.

Overall, the duet was worth reading and I intend to read the other books in this universe. However, I don't think that I'll be rereading this one. If the mystical, lyrical fate prose continues in other books, then I'll probably put them lower on my list since that style doesn't appeal to me.

Ok, so I don't think I've cried this much reading a book in a very long time. J.C, I don't know what you put in this book, but it was beautiful.

This was so raw and gritty and sucked me in from the start. What Omen went through was soul destroying, but I love how strong she is even though she doesn't believe it.

We see Pack Graves grovel so hard (though personally, I wish there was more, only because I love the grovelling trope). They definitely realised they messed up and stopped at nothing to show how truly sorry they were.

Omen, her headspace was understandly a little all over the place. I loved that she held her own and didn't give into her Omega biology and just forgave her mates straight away. She made them work and earn her trust back.

There is also the pesky problem of Omen's father and his crazy band of followers. It was honestly insane but the story unfolded so well, and all my questions were answered.

Shout out to Bea, she is the best. I really hope she gets her own story because I know her story will be just as wild as Omen's.

Please read this duet, I have no words for how much I loved it. But, please read your trigger warnings, your mental health matters.

J.C. you have written something magical, and thank you so much for the opportunity to read this story. I am forever grateful.

dnf’ed at around 30%

I enjoyed the first book, and I really thought it set up the perfect situation to see some true groveling and internal reflection and growth within the pack. I would have loved to see them hold each other actually ACCOUNTABLE…. But all I saw were selfish and entitled men who only think about how this situation affected their lives and how it made them feel..

They knew she wasn’t ready to reveal herself to them, and they told her they’d wait for her to be ready!! I just don’t understand how Nebula could lead the decision to turn their backs on her so fast after what happened to his sister. They literally put her life at risk and essentially were no better than Omen’s brother. To put your “bonded fated mates” before your “fated omega mate” is actually crazy logic because she is just as much a part of their fated group as anyone else... it really just made me soooo mad how they approached the situation to make it right. They just expected to get opportunities to prove themselves to her and never really showed a true level of groveling. Omen did what she thought was right in her own time. She was going to tell them when she was sure and confident and idt they can hold that against her. Instead of reacting like the alphas and pack she desperately wanted and needed, they (Nebula mostly) full on attacks her and confirms her fear of rejection.

I stand by what bea said, they really don’t deserve her, and idt they got enough shit from everyone else to really ingrain it in their heads.

I actually have quite a few thoughts. I really liked the first book. It was a bit more 4.5 than the 4 I gave it, but I don't give out a lot of 5s. So... I opened this one up after the semi-cliffhanger super excited and...

I was just kind of whelmed. I just can not picture Omen with any of these men anymore. None of them put her above or even EQUAL to each other, and I don't think that ever gets better. I understand their relationship was further progressed, but it felt like she was constantly playing catch up, and they did nothing to deserve her.

Should I even try to unpack the complete mess that is Nebula? I understood where he was coming from, but everything that later ensued was painful to watch. I could deal with the MMCs redemption arc if the FMC wasn't literally forced to be there against her will and is later bonded without her consent? It was just too much... it read like a bit of a horror novel. The first book really attached me to the characters so I continued to the end but if the first book was a 4.5 rounded to a 4, this was a 2.5 rounded to 3 just because of how much i liked the characters/world? The romance/groveling was just not it for me when juxtaposed against the fact that the FMC clearly wanted to (validly so) be anywhere but around these men. If she had never contracted rejection disease and both parties had worked on themselves and reunited after a few years... it might all be a bit more comfortable.

The 2nd book was worse than the first. It got boring, and dragged on and on and on.

I guess if you like really dragged out grovels, this was it. They apologized numerous times, they sought therapy, they changed their behaviors, they owned up to their mistakes without making excuses. It was an excellent grovel. It just went on FOREVER. So I essentially skipped the last quarter of the book because I was beyond ready for it to end if I’m honest.

I also felt like I saw a better connection between MMC and FMCs in the first book. This one felt very much like they’re only together so Omen doesn’t die. I didn’t feel like Omen ever opened up to them and accepted them, she just didn’t want to die due to guilt over how her BFF and sister would feel if she did die. The MMCs definitely went above and beyond showing and telling their feelings, but I didn’t feel like Omen ever forgave them and truly accepted them.

I’m honestly a little tiffed at how Titan was handled in this book. He felt very much like an after thought. There was so much more focus on the other 3, and Titan was the last to be intimate with her when I felt like he should have been 2nd or at least 3rd. Nebula who was the most vile should have been last. C’est la vie I guess.

Started this diet with excitement and eagerness. Ended it with the feeling of finally it’s over.

Are the masks actually off? How much more pain can Omen handle after the way everything fell apart in the first book was a real treat thrill to find out and the continuation didn't disappoint.
Beautiful, hard won HEA for Omen and the guys from the Primordial covenant. It had all the expected angst after the devasting finale in the first book and the intensity of the emotions, the regret, the sorrow and the heartbreak were breathing from the pages so skillfully described, I was feeling the story, witnessing every challenge, every jagged piece of broken trust, cutting through the very fabric of the plot line. It was fascinating to watch how every character changed and how the shredded bonds were rebuilt. On top of all the internal struggles, we have additional plot line because the last toxic elements of Omen's past just refused to die, creating additional tension and increasing the danger for this beautiful, broken girl. I loved the continuation of Omen's story even more than the 1st part and the whole duet is going on the shelf of my favourite omegaverse books.

Great conclusion!

Omen's story continues. This RH omegaverse book really showcased the harmful effects of rejection...even if an omega just feels like it's a rejection. And Omen will make some scary hopeless decisions because of it. She's succumbing to chemical rejection so why not do what she can to stop her father.

This story is also about redemption. And boy, do Nebula, Nexus, Cal, and Titan have a lot of begging in front of them. Although they might be too late, with how fast Omen is deteriorating, they might lose the chance to get to know her or her story. Plus, Bea might never let them anywhere near her bestie.

And a Omen's family still is a threat.

There is so much that happens in The bonds That Unite Us. This book takes off running and doesn't stop until the end. It pulls at your emotions and that really is what makes this five stars.

I absolutely loved this conclusion to this duet. I look forward to reading Bea's story.

UGHHHHH

Honestly with everyone pushing for her to make up with the male leads along with the Fmc just going along with things, I’m majorly disappointed. Especially since I feel like the pack should’ve had a bigger fall out with each other, like one punch is all it needed? Nebula should’ve fessed up sooner and even when he admitted it at no point did he mention that the last words she heard from her mates were those drunk message sent in a rage.

And like come on Omen, she should’ve at least mentioned what he said! Like tf? She just gives in to seeing them, etc. Honestly it would’ve been nice to see her attempt to actually move on. I think that would be been more interesting than watching her mope and seeing these horrible male leads attempt to grovel. (Nebula I’m talking about you.) I also hate how the author made Bea 180 from being protective and telling the guys no, to telling omen to try again with them.

Ughhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! Make it make sense.

4.5*

Where the first book in this duet went from sweet to heartbreaking, this second book is all about the opposite road. I’m rarely the person to advice people to wait to pick up a series until it’s complete, but I do think this duet works best when you’re able to read both books in one go. Why? Because of the emotions hitting at full force, and allowing them to heal together with the characters.

This second book is massively focussed on the groveling by Omen’s pack. I really think the author did a great job with it, also because it’s mentioned multiple times their HEA will still need plenty of healing. Omen doesn’t let them take the easy road, and I love the fact they wouldn’t even accept it if she did. They know they messed up, and own up to it. I never thought I’d actually be able to like Nebula, but here we are…

Rejections toll on mind and body

This book is very emotional and full of groveling. There is even a moment of him crawling to her (that was hot).

With Omen dealing with her declining health and the threats she still faces from her family and their followers we see a lot happening in this book.

The men of Primordial Covenant have a lot to make up for. They abandoned their Omega when she needed them the most. Now they have to find a way to win her over. If they don't succeed soon she may not survive.

I absolutely love the characters in this series and can not wait to see what is next in this world. Bea deserves her pack. Also, who is the mystery mate and whqt was happening to them? Plus there's Hanna, deserves so much better than she had growing up. It's time for her to be happy and safe too.

Is it too soon to reread this??

This duet might be one of my new all time favorite omegaverse reads.

Omen’s story was so beautifully tragic. She struggles a lot in this book but also finds it in herself to heal.

The men. Oooof. I liked seeing how differently they’re impacted by everything and how those reactions changed dynamics in their pack.

It wasn’t a quick fix. Omen is still reeling from their rejection (even if they never ‘said’ it they rejected her period) and her body is losing the war against the chemical rejection.

Her pack did everything. They were intentional with their actions, using what they know about her to come up with unique ways to open the gates for them.

THIS is how you write a grovel. This is also how you write an FMC dealing with a betrayal.

I haven’t been captivated by a book like this in so long, I’ll likely reread this duet sooner rather than later. I can’t wait for Bea’s book!!

Would have been better shorter

There was not enough plot in this book to justify the length. I read a LOT of Omen withering away, and that was good for a while, but it got to be too much after (spoilers ahead) her father was brought in and she finally reunited with the pack.

I didn’t hate finishing, but I wasn’t super excited about it either. Not to mention, several pieces of the story feel unresolved. Nothing major, and I’m assuming it’s because book 3 follows Bea’s story, but I haven’t checked yet so it was mildly annoying.

Overall, I wish this would have gotten a few more rounds of editing to cut down on the woe-is-me, I’m-literally-dying vibes that made up most of this book.
