What grabbed my attention about "Her" was its undeniable relatability. The poems are written in a way that feels authentic and genuine, as if the author is speaking directly to your soul.

From the anxieties of love to the struggles of self-acceptance, the book touches on so many experiences that are common to women.

It's a reassuring reminder that we are not alone in our struggles and that there is strength in shared experience. I found myself nodding along to so many verses.

Reading Her by Mitali Meelan was an intimate and profound experience that had a deep personal resonance for me. This poem collection is thoughtfully segmented into four sections—She Whispers, She Says, She Screams, and She Awakens—each symbolizing different phases of a woman's emotional experience.

In She Whispers, the poems explore the subtle introspections and the unspoken thoughts that tend to linger in the recesses of one's mind. The delicate impressions of inner struggles resonated with me, as well as the subtle nuances of vulnerability.

She Says introduces a stronger voice, with emotions expressed in clarity and assurance. This part was empowering because it reflected the journey of discovery of one's voice and having the courage to speak freely.

The intensity grows in She Screams, as she captures moments of deep pain, frustration, and release. The emotionality of these poems resonated deeply, reminding me of the strength it takes to face and let go of deep-seated emotions.

Lastly, She Awakens has a spirit of realization and regeneration. The poems herein summarize the path to self-knowledge and healing, leaving me with renewal and hope.

The beautiful writing and vivid imagery of Mitali Meelan's made Her a poignant analysis of womanhood's intricacies. Every poem was a mirror, reflecting individual experiences and feelings, which made this book deeply relatable and impactful.

A Journey Through Emotions!

Imagine standing in front of a mirror, seeing not just your reflection but every emotion you’ve ever buried—pain, love, rage, hope—all staring back at you. "Her" is that mirror, shattering the silence around raw, unfiltered emotions and inviting you to feel unapologetically.

This book doesn’t just narrate experiences; it immerses you in them. Each page is a confession, a confrontation, and a catharsis, embracing both the chaos and calm of life. It’s a reminder that being human means feeling deeply, even when it hurts.

“Most days, you need to be your own hero… So put on your cape, darling, get off the floor, wipe off the tears, and save your day.”

~ For no battle is tougher than your fight.

These lines linger long after you read them—stirring, graceful, and profoundly empowering. They encapsulate the heart of *Her* by Mitali Meelan, a poetry collection that artfully bridges the inner and outer landscapes of a woman’s journey.

Meelan’s words do more than inspire—they mirror. With thoughtful introspection, her poems invite the reader into a quiet space of self-awareness, gently peeling back the layers of emotion, doubt, and longing. In doing so, "Her" becomes a personal haven—an exploration of one’s inner dialogue that is deeply relatable and tenderly honest.

But it doesn’t stop at reflection. The poet masterfully brings in external experiences—societal norms, relationships, rebellion, and release. These serve as transformative milestones that guide the protagonist’s path, turning hardship into resilience and silence into self-expression. It's this interplay that gives the book its compelling momentum.

"Her" isn’t just a poetry book—it’s a companion in healing and awakening. Meelan reminds us that personal growth is rarely linear. It’s a dance between the quiet whispers within and the noise outside, and in that dance, we begin to find ourselves.

“HER” by Meelan is a beautifully raw and intimate collection of poetry that delves into the emotional landscapes of a woman’s journey. Divided into four distinct sections — She Whispers, She Says, She Screams, She Awakens — the book gently guides the reader through a spectrum of experiences, each chapter building upon the last with increasing emotional intensity.

Meelan masterfully captures the quiet introspections and the loud declarations that define the feminine experience. Her verses move seamlessly between vulnerability and empowerment, offering a space where pain and joy coexist. The poetry doesn't shy away from themes like heartbreak, identity, love, and healing — instead, it embraces them fully, encouraging readers to explore their own truths.

One line that lingers long after reading is from the final section: "Pain, pleasure, anger, sadness, betrayal, heartache, peace, joy, love—eventually, everything will lead you back to yourself." It’s a striking reminder of how all our emotions, no matter how chaotic, ultimately guide us toward self-discovery.

This collection feels like a mirror for many women — a testament to resilience, reflection, and rebirth. “HER” isn’t just poetry; it’s a companion for those finding their way back to themselves.

Not all revolutions roar. Some whisper through verses, unfold in silences, and find their strength in softness. This one by the author is one such revolution, a beautifully bold and intimate collection of poetry that doesn’t demand attention, but gently commands it with authenticity and heart.

Structured across four emotive chapters - She Whispers, She Says, She Screams, She Awakens, this book gently escorts you through a spectrum of emotions. Each poem is a pulse, a breath, a moment of reflection, echoing the lived experiences of countless women. With her lyrical grace, Meelan captures the softness and steel of femininity, balancing raw vulnerability with quiet power.

The author writes with an honesty that resonates deeply. The author’s poems are not just lines on a page, but echoes of shared experiences, exploring self-worth, identity, heartbreak, resilience, and the unapologetic act of healing.

One unforgettable line from the final section captures the soul of the book: “Pain, pleasure, anger, sadness… eventually, everything will lead you back to yourself.”

This book is more than feminist literature, it’s a deeply personal invitation to return to your truth. Keep it close. Let it speak. Let it remind you of your own becoming.

It is not just merely a book; it is an emotion that feels like therapy in verse. It has been subdivided into the four parts of which each part is symbolic of a woman's emotional evolution; 'She Whispers,' and from that moment, I was right there for it. It resonated with every moment I have held back tears, every time I have smiled through pain, every silent prayer, and that quiet breakdown. Such soft, internal struggles very rarely see that gentle reflection.

"She Says" hit me differently than that - as if reading utterances I'd wish I had the guts to state in the self-doubt, broken-heartedness, or, maybe, to say it in those moments with hope. Like internal collected voices within all of us that so longed to be heard. And she Screams -- wow. That section made me feel quite powerful. It was almost like reading raw, uncaged versions of my truths. I wept as I read those lines, not out of sorrow but because they made me feel seen and validated.

In the end, she Awakened gave me peace. It was not just healing; it was transformative healing. These poems insisted that finding your voice was a process, not an instantaneous thing. I am going to carry this book for a long time. A must-read for every woman who has ever felt too much and said too little.

HER is the kind of poetry collection that understands you before you even realize it yourself. Starting from she Whispers, I found so many things in poems that mapped feelings I had not even spoken about. They were not loud proclamations or ballsy cries-the kind felt in the middle of the night when lying beside your lover, but the soft, sore thoughts I had buried. The type you think at 3 in the morning or when you look outside from a moving train.

Then she said-and with it came the yearning. Then, finally, the urge to voice those silences contains this section that got me all emotional because it was like reading pages from my own life. That girl-I has always wanted to say everything yet didn't know how. She Screams was the change-it pinned down like thunder. Each line demanded space; recognition and truth. Messy in the most splendid best-real and unfiltered.

But it was she who woke me as that gave me hope. Reminded healing was possible, that I could rise with all my scars and still be whole. This book listens, reflects and uplifts. I never thought I should have to cry or feel this much known-but i did. I am grateful this book found me when it did. Healed parts I didn't even realize needed healing.

"Her" the name itself tells you that it’s about a women. Not only one , but every women. The book shows every side of the women which explores every time about them..us.

It is divided into four parts. First, "She whispers " focuses on healing. Heal yourself first, love yourself and love.
Love is all about choosing the right man who makes you love yourself and him.

She says...is more like telling you to take the chance, the right man...just by trusting your heart and listen to it.

She screams...The equality of man and women. What they can do is also something we women can also do. Stop letting their words made us that. be yourself..how you wanted to be.

She awakens...my favorite part. It tells us change yourself and to fight for the way you want to be. To stop thinking or listening to others and be the first choice to yourself.

I really love every single part in the book. The emotions it made me feel and the way I felt every single word is absolutely true. Definitely read it...mainly for the women who are struggling to find their way, what they are supposed to do, confused to take a step forward fir themselves...This will be your first step and your motivation guide.

"Keep the ones close
who heard your words
when you never uttered any"

In the realm of poetry, few works have captured the essence of womanhood as eloquently as "Her". This sublime collection of poems is a testament to the complexities, struggles, and triumphs of women, weaving a tapestry of emotions that resonates deeply with the reader.

With lyrical language and poignant imagery, the poet masterfully explores the multifaceted experiences of women, from the pangs of insecurity and pain to the exhilaration of freedom and self-discovery. Through the pages of "Her", we encounter women who are at once vulnerable and resilient, their stories of struggle and empowerment rendered in verse that is both deeply personal and universally relatable. The poet's voice is a gentle breeze that soothes the soul, even as it confronts the darkest corners of human experience.

This is a book that will be devoured by women and men alike, for in its exploration of the feminine, it reveals universal truths about the human condition. "Her" is a triumph of poetry, a celebration of women's lives, and a testament to the transformative power of art.

HER reads like a love letter to any woman ever told she was "too sensitive," "too emotional," "too much." With the very first poem of she Whispers, the internal world of one somewhere understood started to be translated — almost scarily but comforting; it's a rare feeling to be that seen.

The momentum into she Says felt like empowerment: here were the words that would gently nudge me toward finding my own voice — not to say something, but to say something real. And when she Screams came, oh, what a release! I cried when I read that, not from sadness but from the release of relief. All of those emotions — the anger, the heartbreak, the yearning — they felt at home here.

She Awakens was the section of she said where I realized I didn't know I was waiting for. It tied it all together in demonstrating that healing is not linear, but it can happen. Things will get messy, and that is okay. I walked away from this book feeling imbued with a quiet strength. Like I saw somebody rise — and maybe, in a way, I did. This book shall grace my shelf, but, even more so, it shall find a place in my heart.

I sometimes read a poetry book and then realize how much my insides have changed. But, HER did that. The break into four parts made so much emotional sense — it mimicked the way we process pain and reclaim ourselves. She whispers all the things I have hidden inside: the regrets, the what-ifs, the quiet sadness I never spoke about. Every word felt like it was written straight from a place of understanding.

Then she says, growth. Like the first brave step into self-expressing discovery. It made me think of all the conversations I never had, and all those moments when I wish I stood up for myself. When I reached she screams. This seemed to be the release I didn't know I wanted, the passion, the anger, the longing, all there. And I loved it.

She awakens. It was like light breaking through, not a blinding light, but gentle and warm, forgiving. Just a reminder that really healing should start not forgetting or mending but becoming. This book is the most emotional treasure of all; I am changed after reading it, and I believe every woman—and every person whose heart beats—should undergo this experience.

To summarize: Reading HER felt like looking in the mirror of my soul. At first, each section began to open the inner self in me, slowly, softly, until at some point it went full force; She Whispers broke open the little heart that I had. Those poems are so gentle yet weighing so heavily. They express parts of us that are usually kept hidden — not out of shame, but surely because, at times, we do not know how to put them into words.

She Says helped me into my voice, or rather the voice I wish she had offered. The poems retell the inner conflicts we all share — what we are dying to say but can't. This felt like an awakening of courage. Fully, she Screams gave me that courage. It was more than a catharsis; it was liberation of a sort from all that had shackled me; all my fears, my rage, my frustrations, laid poignantly bare.

Then she Awakens offered something rare: peace. Not the kind that banishes pain; rather the kind that welcomes it and matures through it. I read the last poem with tears in my eyes and strength in my chest. This book articulated my journey, and it is now a piece of me.

Mitali Meelan's "Her" stands out as a testament to the power of poetic expression in capturing the essence of womanhood. The book's division into four parts allows for a nuanced exploration of the stages of self-expression and empowerment. In 'She Says,' the poems reflect a growing confidence as the subject begins to articulate her desires and assert her presence. By the time the reader reaches 'She Awakens,' there is a full realization and acceptance of self, marking a triumphant culmination of the journey. Meelan's ability to weave together personal anecdotes with broader societal themes results in a collection that is both intimate and thought-provoking. "Her" is not just a book of poetry; it is an invitation to witness and partake in the transformative journey of finding one's voice.

"She Screams"This poem is the heart of the transformation. It’s fierce, loud, and proud. It celebrates self-expression in all its rawness. I love it because it feels like a declaration of freedom—a woman finally refusing to shrink or soften herself. It inspires strength and confidence with every line.

In "Her," Mitali Meelan crafts a narrative that is both deeply personal and universally relatable. The poems traverse themes of vulnerability, resilience, and self-discovery, inviting readers to reflect on their own experiences. The section 'She Whispers' tenderly addresses the unspoken thoughts and suppressed emotions that many women harbor, setting a contemplative tone. As the collection progresses to 'She Screams,' there is a palpable shift to assertiveness and bold expression, symbolizing a breaking free from societal constraints. This deliberate structuring enhances the reader's engagement, fostering a sense of solidarity and understanding. Meelan's eloquent language and evocative imagery make "Her" a compelling read for anyone seeking insight into the nuanced layers of female identity.

"She Says"

A shift happens here. *“Not Sorry”* is about setting boundaries, learning to speak up, and letting go of the guilt that often follows. I like this poem because it’s assertive without being loud—it reclaims space with grace. It's relatable for anyone who has apologized for simply existing or feeling too much.

A Poetry Collection That Feels Like a Warm Embrace

Mitali Meelan’s Her is not just a poetry collection; it’s a mirror reflecting the strength, vulnerability, and quiet resilience of being her. The words are simple, yet they carry the weight of emotions we all have felt—self-doubt, self-love, and the journey in between.

One of the most powerful poems in this book declares:
"You'll never be good enough for the world… your passion will be too strong, your manner too wild."
But then comes the reminder that lingers long after you turn the page—for a change, be good enough for yourself.

And that’s the magic of this collection. It makes you feel seen. Whether you’ve been the girl who cried herself to sleep or the one who found power in her storms, Meelan’s words will remind you that you are both.

This book is for the girls who’ve been told they are too much and the ones who’ve been made to feel like they are not enough. It’s for her—for all of us.

A must-read, a must-feel, a must-remember.

This book is like a diary of emotions. Every poem feels like a little piece of someone’s heart—soft, thoughtful, sometimes heavy, but always honest. It doesn’t try to be fancy. It just wants to connect.

From love and loss to hope and healing, this book walks through many corners of life.
Some poems made me stop and breathe. Some made me smile softly. A few even made me tear up a little.
It’s not just poetry—it’s a quiet conversation.

My favourite from the book is “HER – just try.” It speaks so gently to the part of us that’s afraid to start. It’s a small poem with a big soul. It says—show up anyway. Even if you’re scared. Even if you think you’re not ready.
The line “be delusional, be daring” is something I want to carry with me everywhere.

This book isn’t loud. It doesn’t shout big life lessons. It whispers truths that stay with you.

🌿 Simple words.
🌸 Real feelings.
💬 Easy to read, hard to forget.

If you enjoy poetry that feels like a warm cup of chai on a quiet morning, this one’s for you.

This book felt like a warm hug and a wake-up call at the same time. It’s filled with small, powerful poems that speak about life, love, courage, and being true to yourself. The words are simple, but the feelings are deep.

One poem that hit me hard was “HER – You’ve Been Lied To For Far Too Long.” It made me stop and think about how much we’ve been told to shrink ourselves—our dreams, our voices, our choices. This poem says: you were never “too much.” You were never wrong for being who you are.

I loved how the book didn’t feel like poetry for poets. It’s poetry for anyone who has felt doubt, hope, anger, love, or silence. Whether you’re starting over or just trying to understand yourself better, this book holds something for you.

The poems are short but powerful. They leave you thinking.
They leave you feeling seen.

🌿 Easy to read.
💬 Full of truth.
🌸 Feels like listening to a friend who really gets you.

If you love poetry that empowers and soothes at the same time, give this book a chance.

A Gentle Revolution in Poetic Form

In "Her", Mitali Meelan orchestrates a gentle revolution—a quiet yet powerful upheaval of the inner self. The collection is an exploration of feminine strength in its many forms, presented through four distinct voices: she Whispers, she Says, she Screams, and she Awakens. Each segment of the book is a carefully constructed narrative that reveals the layers of emotion and thought that define the modern woman’s experience.

The poems oscillate between the tender and the triumphant, capturing the subtleties of introspection and the intensity of raw, unfiltered feeling. Meelan’s words invite the reader to listen to the silent parts of their soul and to celebrate the act of breaking free from societal constraints. The language is both delicate and forceful, a duality that mirrors the very nature of personal growth. For anyone who has ever felt the need to speak their truth or reclaim their inner power, this collection offers a beautifully articulated path forward.

"Her" is a bold and audacious voice in contemporary poetry. The collection fearlessly confronts societal injustices, celebrates the power of female resilience, and challenges the status quo.

"It's time to let go, darling. The universe is waiting for your hands to be empty so it can fill them with everything you deserve and more."

This is one of my favorite lines from the first section, "She Whispers." The depth of these words is truly engaging and overwhelming.

The poet's voice is both fierce and compassionate, demanding change while offering solace and support. It's a reminder that we have the power to make a difference in the world.

This book is for those who are passionate about social justice and are committed to creating a more equitable world. It's an inspiration to speak your truth and stand up for what you believe in.

Mitali Meelan's book is a stunningly candid poetry collection that delves into the full breadth of the feminine journey. The book brings the reader on an expedition of self discovery, heartbreak, love and healing, with genuine emotion and vulnerability

"comfortable job
cozy home
nourishing food
a few people to love
and a quiet life that doesn’t disrupt
by tying a knot to a stranger
or with innocent night-walks home alone
or with the choice of clothes and degrees. women want what men have been granted since ages
the simple freedom to just be"

These lines resonate so deeply for me and succinctly represent what women have been yearning for in terms of equality and having the freedom to be themselves. The lines also contrast the burdens put on women and highlight the privileges that have been historically afforded to men. These lines make a powerful statement about women merely searching for the right to decide for themselves. The phrase, "the simple freedom to just be" really sticks out because it also captures a basic human desire for freedom me

HER speaks to women who have stayed quiet for too long, celebrating all of the parts we feel so much yet say too little about. I connected so powerfully with she Whispers. Each poem felt like a fragment of my past — those moments when I smiled instead of talking, cried silently in a washroom, or journaled about what I wished I could share with someone.

Then came she Says, which very much seemed like a small version of me stepping toward healing. The longing embedded in those poems is felt in the chest. And oh, she Screams? That's when I realized I have been angry for years but never quite allowed myself to say it. These poems gave that anger air and made me feel empowered rather than shameful.

She Awakens is the version of me I am trying to step into: honest, vulnerable, and unafraid to thrive in her full glory. These poems are beautiful yet also essential. They remind me that being emotional is not a weakness but a strength. I'm so glad I read this book. I feel braver, more whole, and truly seen.

allow it to all her life
she’s travelled way too far trying to find home in places and people
only to find it
when she stopped her feet
and turned to the mirror.
let it unfold
in its own sweet time
and through it all,
be gentle with your own heart first
before you’re gentle with his.

"HER" book by @mm.pens is a beautifully intimate and emotionally poetry collection that captures the many voices of a woman's heart. Told in four parts—she Whispers, she Says, she Screams, and she Awakens—the book is a poetic evolution, moving from silence to strength. Each section offers a distinct tone, reflecting the complexity of emotions women often carry: quiet pain, hopeful yearning, raw anger, and eventual empowerment. There is a deep honesty in the way the poet writes about love, hurt, healing, and self-discovery. It’s a book that you can read in one sitting but will return to again and again for comfort and clarity. HER isn’t just a collection of poems—it’s a journey back to oneself. Bold, brave, and beautifully written.

Her by Mitali Meelan describes love together with identity and vulnerability through a beautiful understated emotional narrative. The gentle language in this piece creates poetic effects while portraying understated instances which form the basis of our personal development. I found the subtle nature of this tale as its most amazing feature since it quietly delivers enduring truths that stay in readers' minds beyond the book's ending. The author successfully brings his characters to life especially the lead protagonist who portrays a reality-based emotional development which readers can follow. Meelan uses minimal words to create profound storytelling which penetrates every interaction with meaningful essence. The story takes occasional breaks which let you stay with your emotions as you reflect on the story's effects. This story presents an authentic portrayal rather than dramatic introspection which wants to be experienced instead of simply read. A beautiful reflection on the human heart.

This book feels like a friend who truly gets you. Every poem is short, but it says a lot. The words are simple, but the feelings are deep. It talks about real life — the ups and downs, the quiet pain, the hidden strength, and the little joys we often ignore.

Some poems made me smile softly, some made me stop and think. A few felt like they were written just for me — like they knew what I’ve been carrying inside.

It speaks about being a woman, about freedom, dreams, pressure, and learning to love yourself just as you are. There's a kind of soft bravery in every page, like it’s gently reminding you to live your truth without guilt.

This isn’t a book you rush through. You read it slowly, one poem at a time, and let the words settle in your heart.

✅ Easy to read
✅ Honest and real
✅ Comforting, like a warm hug

If you're going through a tough time, or even just figuring yourself out, this book might be exactly what you need.

Mitali Meelan’s "Her"is a masterful exploration of the multifaceted experience of being a woman in today’s world. The poet delicately navigates themes of insecurity, passion, and awakening, capturing the raw beauty and pain that define our inner lives.

Each section of the book—ranging from the soft murmurs of “she Whispers” to the liberating declarations of “she Awakens”—feels like a distinct phase in the evolution of self-awareness.

What truly sets this collection apart is its ability to speak to the universal truths of human existence, transcending gender to touch anyone who has ever struggled with self-doubt or found strength in vulnerability. A Symphony of Vulnerability and Strength

"Her" is more than just a poetry collection; it is a symphony of vulnerability and strength, composed by Mitali Meelan with remarkable finesse. Each poem acts as a note in a larger composition that explores the inner workings of the feminine spirit. The initial whispers of self-doubt gradually give way to bold statements of self-affirmation, creating a narrative arc that is both personal and universal.

Meelan’s imagery is vivid, her language succinct, and her emotional range expansive. The poems encourage the reader to embrace every aspect of their emotional experience, from quiet moments of introspection to the roaring outbursts of anger and joy.

It’s a collection that resonates deeply, reminding us that true strength often comes from embracing our vulnerabilities and that every emotion, no matter how soft or fierce, plays a crucial role in our journey towards self-realization.

"keep the ones close who heard your words when you never uttered any."

This beautiful line from Her by Mitali Meelan is just one of many that quietly touch your heart. The entire book feels like a gentle hand on your shoulder, reminding you that your feelings are valid and your voice matters—even when it trembles.

The poems are simple, yet filled with emotion. They speak about love, pain, growth, and self-discovery in a way that’s honest and deeply relatable. One line that especially stayed with me was, "loving yourself becomes so much easier when you distance yourself from those who don’t love you back." It’s one of those truths that hits hard but also brings peace.

What I loved most is how the poems don’t try to be complicated. They’re clear, heartfelt, and easy to connect with. Whether you’re healing from something or just looking to feel understood, this book will feel like a quiet companion.

Her is more than poetry—it’s comfort, strength, and reflection in verse.
