Victor Peter steps away from the dark, twisted, intense style of our beloved Jake series and takes a walk into new territory with Soul Connection - and he freaking nails it! I am a die-hard fan of Jake and his minions, so knowing what they hold in their pockets, I wasn't sure what to expect. But what I found was an unexpected, clever blend of dark fantasy themed piece of work with psychological aspects, dry wit and emotional depth.
Soul Connection has proved, not that die-hard fans doubted, that Peter is a versatile and multi-faceted author. He masterfully writes with skill and precision, along with being able to bring levity and humor to his dark and twisted world.
At the heart of this story is Rick Black (MMC), better known as the Grim Reaper. I felt like I was reading a strange and more intense version of the show “Love is Blind.”
Everyone deserves a soulmate! Rick has been roaming the earth for a very long time and is lonely. He decides to join a dating show where you learn about other people and try to make a connection without seeing them ahead of time. This is perfect for Rick, who isn’t exactly a conventional person.
This is another fabulous book from Victor Peter. His writing style is unique and easy to follow. This book really dives into human life, deep feelings and daily situations that people go through.

Soul connection is a satirical novel about the grim reaper and his attempt to find love. He decides the best way to do this is to go on a reality show. The characters in this book are funny and weird and mimic what you might actually see on a reality show.
This is a much lighter read than Victor's other books, but in true Victor fashion he has to put a twist out there and leave you asking questions and wanting more at the end.

Soul Connection by Victor Peter is a fabulous satirical read that I absolutely loved. It's a lighter read than what we're used to reading from Victor Peter, and he definitely did not disappoint! I would highly recommend adding to your TBR at your earliest convenience.

If you like dark humor, this book is for you... If dark humor is not your thing, then don't pick up this book!
I really enjoyed this book it was nice to laugh.. and it was also cute.
I definitely recommend giving this a read.
I thought it was cute that the Grim Reaper was looking for love and decided to try his luck on the dating show.. who doesn't want to find that special someone, and like they say, there is someone out there for everyone. The game show peace reminded me of the ones you might see on tv. The characters are also a little strange or interesting, but on any reality TV show, there are a few that make you question humanity sometimes. Although everyone is strange, so maybe they weren’t really strange? Depending on what you might think is interesting anyway..
Honestly, it didn't surprise me that the Grim Reaper was lonely.. I would be to with a job like that. And with a job like the Grim Reaper, you're gonna have dark
humor is a coping mechanism. You have to find the joy in life even if it's dark. Hummor can cure sadness... maybe not yourself but at least others.... I know I needed a laugh.

Soul Connection is a satire, dark, macabre story about the Grim Reaper looking for love. He checks out a few dating sites and can't seem to find someone he connects with until he gets an off for a dating show called Soul Connection. He makes a connection with a woman named Morticia, who shares a lot of common interests with him and likes his dark humor, except Rick (the grim reaper) can't find a way to tell her what he really does. Victor Peter did a great job with this book. The characters are great and you can really empathize with Rick in the story and how torn he is. There's a lot of talk about life and death and what truly makes life worth living. If you're into macabre type things with a little satire, definitely check this one out.

Ronnie Thrumo had me howling! 🤣 what a name, and the poncy ego to go with it!
I loved the deep, meaningful conversations between Rick and Luna. They were so moving in an ethereal way.
I really enjoyed how easily this book flowed. It was full of energy, kept me engaged, and wanted more. I never thought I'd read a book about the Reaper going on a dating show! But gosh, am I glad I did!
The plot twist was not expected! I'm looking forward to reading more of Victor's books!

I rated this 4 stars because, while the story is moving and beautifully written, I felt like certain moments could have been explored more deeply to make an even stronger impact. There were parts where I wanted to linger longer and dive further into the emotions and complexities of the characters.
That being said, Soul Connection is a powerful read that leaves you reflecting on life, love, and the things that truly matter. If you’re looking for a heartfelt story with emotional depth and a touch of destiny, this book is well worth picking up

Rick is going on a dating show to find love. He meets different people and gets to pick who he has a connection with. The twist is that Rick is the Grim Reaper. As he gets to know the people and who he connects with things start to go wrong and he doesn’t know why.

Quite an interesting little tale.

I give this book 4.5 ⭐️s. Although this is not the type of book I usually read. I can say that I actually enjoyed this book. It just shows that everyone gets lonely and wants to find love. It was beautifully written and I will be reading more books from this author.

I was torn on this one. While I initially liked the concept, I couldn’t help but feel that this quickly got repetitive. Also, a lot of it was very cheesy. Blending a horror vibe with a dating show just didn’t hit the mark for me.

As someone who dislikes reality dating shows, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Rick and Mortica are such an amazingly written couple

I absolutely loved this story. It is so different from what I normally read of Victor's. He sure hit this one out of the park! I would love to read more like this one. You follow Morticia and Rick. A grim reaper on a game show designed to find love. This is a mystery and comedy all in one.

I Love How Victor Had Used The Old Fashioned Dating Shows As The Basis For This Book And Showed The Grim Reaper In A Light That Is Different To How He Is Normally Perceived.
