king's mimi jean pamfiloff:

King of Me is book three in The King Trilogy by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff. This is one of those books that is so full of shocking surprises that it’s almost impossible to review without giving anything away.

woman on the balcony:

King wants Mia. We’ve known that from the start. But why? Does he truly care for her or is she just the means to an end of his suffering? King claims that Mia must love him, truly love him, in order to break the curse. As they spend time together, Mia does see bits of that man deep inside that draws her to him, that man that cares, that loves. But she also sees the evil King, the cruel King. The man she needs to stay far away from. Could she truly fall for this man, love him?

My Color Universe

Mia’s brother, Justin, gets himself deeper and deeper into trouble. And Mia is constantly wondering if he has been honest with her about anything at all? It seems he had his own agenda throughout all of this.

Crete, Greece:

In the center of everything is the much sought after artifact. The artifact that can bring just one person back from the dead.

Mia is still learning what her seer powers are capable of. She has no one to teach her, its more of a learn as you go thing. And it’s because of her powers that this book takes a shocking turn. I was completely thrown by this. But all is revealed. There is a reason for everything. You just have to be patient.

“Everything became so clear. There was no separation of time when it came to love. It was the past and future in one blinding light. And I’d never let go of that light. Not ever.”

Gorgeous 5.01 asscher cut engagement ring.:

I love Mia in this book. I have to admit I was a little worried when angry Mia seemed to be taking over. But in this book, we get the old Mia back, but maybe a little bit tougher model. She is given the opportunity to love to the greatest her heart can handle. But at the same time, she endures great sorrow and fear. But through it all, she remains dedicated to the people she loves, her parents, her brother, and King.

“Love was what brought us back from our darkness, what restored us from the pain of our mistakes.”

applause

This book is one crazy, wild ride from the beginning to the end. And I absolutely loved the epilogue. There is also a big reveal regarding Mack which sets things up for book four, Mack. I am so excited to get his story. If you haven’t started this series yet, you need to read them in order. So I encourage you to get comfy, and start with book one. But don’t plan on doing much for the next few days because once you submerge yourself into this world, you won’t want to come back out until you get to the end.

🎁 FREE King Trilogy Box Set on Amazon today (12/2020)! https://amzn.to/2I7smbG 🎁

An incredibly mind-blowing finale that will grip you from the start and won’t let you leave your seat until the very end.

King of Me is a wild ride that will leave you breathless. It’s an emotional rollercoaster with all sorts of twists and turns. And like any adrenaline junkie, I was absolutely hooked.
“I love you enough to fear nothing.”

It’s about love, a love that endures the test of time. A love that makes and breaks a 3000 year curse. It’s epic.
“There was no separation of time when it came to love; it saw the past and future in one blinding light. And I’d never let go of that light. Not ever.”

In this last installment we get to know so much more of “the imposing, exquisite, and dangerous man” that is King. We got to know King with a heart.
“King wasn’t one man; he was layers. Light surrounded by a thick layer of darkness. Life encased by death. Scar tissue over a soul that was noble and good.”

I also liked the stronger version of Mia. It wasn’t just nice to read, it was necessary for her character to endure every surprise that was thrown at her.
“I would rather spend a lifetime trying to fix what I’d done... I couldn’t undo my love. I could only use it to do everything within my power to make things right.”

I will definitely not spoil this book one bit by giving details, but I guarantee it gave me what I most wanted: answers to all my questions and a happy ending.
“ I cannot remove you from my thoughts, Mia. Awake or asleep, I see only you.”

Mimi also piques us with a Mack subplot which I really hope she decides to write, because I’m sure I’m not the only one who would love to read about him.
I think this trilogy proves once again Mimi is an exceptionally smart woman with a flawless writing style that’s set on giving us amazingly stories, with characters that we love to hate and plots that keep us engaged and on the edge of our seat.
“There was no easy out or perfect ending. A Greek tragedy in the making.”

"I believe a little darkness is healthy in a person. Good for the soul."

I've read this trilogy mainly without pause - it was certainly a different form of dark romance. There were as many mysteries and secrets as there were other plot elements, and it was written in a way where I couldn't figure out the truth from behind the smokescreen most of the time.

Sometimes I wasn't sure how much I'd end up liking but was hoping the author would pull out saving notes - I don't like when the bad and good are split up, it came across a bit cheesy sometimes, and angering another with a particular betrayal scene from King on the island. And - while a major plot device in the book was interesting and well done - sometimes it grew a little old since I'm not into that kind of thing as a general rule.

I loved all the versions of King besides that one horrid scene during date night on the island in present times. Mia herself was less likable for the first few chapters of the book, but she becomes the Mia I knew and loved soon enough.

In the end the plot isn't without some holes - it's definitely ambitious in what it tries to be and tropes it attempts using with time travel, monsters, weird rituals, daggers and artifacts, confusing stuff. Most of it works but inevitably there's some questions still left and not everything makes sense.

The ending wasn't perfect but the epilogue was sweet, although it brings something unconventional and daring into familiar and predictable territory.

WOW!! could I fall any further down the rabbit hole than this instalment.
This particular addition to this heart-racing series was just so fantastic and totally knocked my socks off with the direction it took.
So much happened here that I really wasn't expecting and once again this had a completely different vibe than its predecessors.
This time around we have King behaving very oddly, well more so than usual.
Making choices that just don't seem to be quite him and behaving in such a way that the term monster has never been so close to home as this.
Mia also gets to take a journey and the answers and experiences this trip provide will change everything she thinks she knows.
This book really astounded me with its many unexpected plot directions and unexpected reveals.
This does end the trilogy of King and Mia but the onward story itself is so far from over as there are two more instalments yet to come.
The next one features Mack at its centre so I am really looking forward to getting stuck in.
This was such a twisty journey and one I do highly recommend giving a go.

Finally, It All Makes Sense!

What a whirlwind this trilogy has been! I didn't know whether I wanted Mia to kiss or kill King for most of this series, debating whether or not he was redeemable right to the end. I love a book that can keep me guessing, and all three books in 'The King Trilogy' had me on the edge of my seat right to the end. I don't want to spoil it for anyone, so I'll just say that this book has more, twists, turns and jaw-dropping shockers than the first two books.

The storyline was original and not predictable like many of the stories I read. I definitely lost myself in this series once I started. It wasn't what I expected at all, but it ended up being so much better than anything I had imagined. It was a captivating read with sexy characters and great chemistry. Fantastic series!

“Holy shit, King,” I panted.
“Yes,” his chest heaved with exertion, “I am your king. And don’t you ever forget it, woman.”
I smiled and brushed the sweat-soaked strands of long black hair from his beautifully bronzed face. “Yes. You are.”

Holy shite !

Loved loved King and Mia's story .. Out of all the different scenario's I had thought of in my head , this sure as hell wasn't one ! Loved the constant twists and surprises ... Sadly , I want more of King and Mia !

The ending kinda felt a little wobbly .. But the epilogue , damn ! I was one happy camper !!

Wow! I had to let my nerves settle before writing my review of King of Me. Once again, Pamfiloff delights and thrills readers with this final installment in the trilogy. In this book, we uncover all the answers that have plagued our minds in book 1 and 2. We understand who King is and get to see a glimpse of who he was prior to being cursed. King of Me starts off at a heart racing pace, and doesn't let up until the end. I couldn't put the book down but wanted to close my eyes at some of the harrowing close calls that Mia endured. And boy did she ever endure. However, seeing King as he was pre-curse allowed her to release the budding feelings for him that she was trying to suppress. She loved him. Absolutely loved him. Seeing him pre-curse also gave her the crazy idea that she could change the course of his future just with her presence. Unfortunately, fate is a cruel mistress and she demanded that things play out on the predestined course. Her course. Mia's world is thrown topsy-turvy and its only through sheer grit and a little of her gift that she survives it all. I love how Pamfiloff throws curveball after curveball after curveball into the mix. She is a master of red-herrings and I absolutely love it. The Mack storyline left me absolutely speechless and I demand!!! (pleaseohpleaseohplease) a happily ever after for him :).

The conclusion of the story was bittersweet. Never fear, there is a happily ever after for King and Mia but it also marks the conclusion of such an amazing series (boo and hiss). But there is juuuuuust enough unfinished business that the saga could continue (see previous comment about Mack *wink*).

This trilogy in one word: EPIC!

How far would you go, what sacrifice would you make to save the person you love? Could you trade your own flesh and blood for another?
 photo Mia.jpg
Would you make a deal with the devil if you thought you could save him?
 photo Mia3.jpg
(Mia) How could he do that to me? How? It didn’t make sense. Not when King needed me to free him from his torment. Mack had been right, that’s how. That had been a monster back on the island. And that monster wanted me to fall into some dark, delusional state where I’d learn to love him.

The last two volumes has kept me on the edge of my seat. With non stop action, supernatural encounters of the ghostly kind and all of the intellectual suspense. Definitely a good read.

WOW

I loved the series. So many twists and turns. Pamfiloff is so creative. I was near tears at one point but it only lasted for a paragraph. I think she could of made the despair last a little longer. Just my thought.
But the overall story was amazing. A sexy tortured H and a h learning about her gifts. Very well done.

This is what not I expect. lol! While the first two books kinda dark, this book turn out being Time-Travel romance, like pre-history perioud I think. Anyway, the ending is still great and lovely which I'm happy about.

I really want the author write Mack' story like she said in the Author's note cux I love him. King is also complicated as usual. I think I already found a new author who write my kind of anti-hero. I hope the author write many characters similar to King more because I've never ever get enough of dark complex flawed heroes with an interesting depth and background and well-rounded personalities. Larger than life heroes are also my fave which I love to read.

Maybe I have to check her other series out if I have times. However, I love King series'world ( 10 club thing ) so much and I don't want this wolrd to end. I hope she continue with Mack's story, indeed! Pleasess lol!

Wow! What a ride..It goes back into the past, 3000 years to be exact and you will learn why King is who he is, the way he is and all.. All this time I thought it was because it was his brother's death but Mia played a huge role even three thousand years ago. And guess who his dang on brother is? I mean wow!
A lot of twists and unexpected turns that surprised the ish out of me!
Loved it though, my favorite out of the three!

Wow, wow, wow. What an ending! I should really probably take a few minutes to digest this book before I write my review but screw it. I'm an "all-in" kind of gal. I really DID just put the book down and start up my computer. I just had to get everything that's rolling around in my brain out of there so I can get some peace!

Again, I'm thinking that this book could be read as a stand-alone. I know, I know, it IS difficult to believe but I think it's true! There's some brief recaps that explain what has happened before so readers who don't need to get WAY into a story to enjoy it would probably be okay. Having said that, come on now, you know you need to read the rest of this damn series. You KNOW you do!

Finally, FINALLY Mia redeems herself! Alright, saying "finally" and saying it twice is a bit of an overreaction. She wasn't all THAT bad in Book 2 but for real, I didn't really like her all that much at the end of that book. But damn if she didn't strap her lady-balls on and kick some mother freaking ass!!! Damn, she was on fire! I was happy that the cold, unfeeling Mia made an appearance because it was high time that she did something for herself. But on the other hand, I was glad when the normal Mia came back. Then later, after her Seer power really comes online, it was just amazing to go on that journey with her. Yeah, I'm sorry I have to be all vague about it but I just don't want to spoil ANYTHING at all for you. I hope no one reads TOO many reviews of this series because someone is going to slip and spill some secrets. It wouldn't ruin the book but it was a lot of fun to be crazy confused, just like Mia was. And I think that Mia made the right decisions with the information she had and I don't know that I would have done any better. I'll just leave it at that.

Wow, King had a phenomenal transformation. If I thought he was a bad guy at any time before this book, it was NOTHING compared to how totally, awfully evil he was here. I mean, he was so bad that I thought Mia HAD to be dreaming. What King was doing couldn't be real. To be honest, I'm not 100% sure that it WAS real, even now! But then I saw what King was like before his transformation and he was magnificent. I fell in love with him almost immediately and I hung on to that feeling through everything that came after. One thing that thrilled the piss out of me was that I finally found out what his tattoos meant. Mia mentioned them several times during the series - not enough to make me think "Okaaayyy, got it! Tattoos mean something!" but enough to make me remember that I wanted to know what they were. There is no way that I would have ever been able to guess what they were for and once they were explained, lots of other things made more sense as well. Of course, it's late so I didn't fully understand until Mia laid it all out so this time, I'm grateful that the explanation was dummy-proof! LOL!

Mia and King really run the gauntlet in this story. There's no more pussy-footing around, no more avoiding what's between them. They both realize what is going on between them and it's time to put up or shut up. And holy cow, the Sexy Time was awesome! There wasn't a super ton of it but what it MAY have lacked in quantity, it made up for in quality, baby! Lemme just say that King could have been called King because he ruled in the sack, know what I mean, ladies?? wink, wink! Okay, I'm getting a little silly so let's bring this review on home...

This was an awesome ending for an unusual series. I've never read a series where I hated the hero for so long! LOL! But the author killed it with this book. The way she got the reader to see the good side of King was pretty cool and very creative, in my opinion. I was confused for some of it because there were parts that had a little bit of that trippy feeling from Book 1 but it made for a really wild ride. I'm pretty sure all the plot points were wrapped up but there maybe just might have been a teensy bit of a tease for another story - Mack's story - which would be really fun to read. Like with a lot of good books, I laughed and I cried and I yelled and I was pissed and I was elated...occasionally all at the same time! I would absolutely recommend this book to readers who are looking for a challenge. It was tough to not quit the series when the hero was mean and the heroine was being a dumbass. But I felt like I was SO rewarded for staying with the books. This is definitely one that I'll read over and over again!

THIS REVIEW IS FOR "THE KING TRILOGY" .

Let me be honest. This series is not for everybody. I won't recommend this to my friends here in Goodreads because if I do, this book would be filled with 2-3 stars and all the criticism for technical stuff. But why the hell am I wasting my time doing a review for a 2.5 star book? Simple. I'm crazy.

One reason why I'm doing this review: CURIOSITY IS A BITCH
One reason why I keep on reading (and eventually finished the series) is because of being curious. That has always been my greatest downfall. One tiny unanswered question, one unturned leaf, one partially opened door and I'm a goner. On the King's, I was dying to know what King really is.

Is he a warlock?
A werewolf?
A vampire?
A human who dabbles in the dark magic?

None of the above.

Normally, I would have criticized Mia Turner for being such a lousy heroine.Let us also not forget, the Spanish shenanigan in this book. But really. I didn't mind those things because I was focused on King.

On the second book,King for a Day, I learned more about King. The guy is just a motherlode of secrets. But when I finally found out what ticks off King (he's a ghost )there's a bit of a cliffhanger and ( sigh ,)I keep on wondering about his past that I just have to read the last book even though the heroine is shitty.

King of Me. Finally. Case solved. The heroine is still disgusting though.

Just a piece of advice note reminder shit. Curiosity may kill the cat. But satisfaction brought it's life back

4 stars spoilers for those who haven’t read books 1 and 2

What a great way to end this trilogy. This series was such a surprise when I first read book one. Yes there are some similarities (as I commented on in my review) in the first instalment to the Fever series; however it quickly became its own story in book 2.

After some serious revelations as to what King is, something I did not expect, and Mia finding out that she had been manipulated throughout, book two ends with her decision to try and save her brother. A decision that would mean bad things for King.

I had to read the last chapter of book 2 since I couldn’t quite remember what had happened. I’m glad I did otherwise I would have been very confused. You see, Mia is in a position to save either King or her brother. Since she feels scorned, manipulated and angry at King’s actions, and that she loves her brother, she opts for blood. However, in order to save her brother, she needs to learn – somehow – to love King, to reverse the curse in exchange for a life. This is something King wants, and in fact was his idea at the end of book two.

So how does she learn to love someone she claims to hate? Well I was surprised at the turn of events surrounding this – that is – time travel . Without knowing it, Mia has the ability to travel through time and after an intense scene with King, she finds herself in 1500BC, in Minoa, with King as well….The King. What follows is a series of events, some shocking, some confusing (but in a good way) that lead to some surprise revelations about how King came to be the way he is in the present day.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and indeed the series itself. If I was being a little picky, the part after all the drama of time travel but before the HEA was abit frustrating . Fortunately, his absence doesn’t last long and they get their HEA. Yay!

WoW what a ride!!!!!

This trilogy is in my top five reads! The storyline was different and had many twists and turns that you didn't see coming, and not wanting to put it until I finished each book. It has all... drama, intrigue, mystery, family, friendship, loyalty, trust, allegiance, pride, & love...
King is another fantastically written character. He's dark and manipulative with just a hint of goodness. He constantly keeps you guessing his intentions and keeps his air of untouchable-ness while remaining likable at the same time.
And there are several jaw-dropping moments throughout these books so my interest was ALWAYS piqued. I couldn't put these down. They are definitely worth reading. You will NOT be disappointed!!

Get the series now, you won't be disappointed!

Wow! Right....so, I rated Book 1 and 2 four stars, because though I enjoyed the books very much I could put the book down, walk away and pick it up again later. With this Book 3....I couldn't tear my eyes away from the page!
I love that King and Mia's story spans three books. Thank god I had all available books waiting for me otherwise I would have gone mad at book 1 and 2 cliffhangers.
What a great twisty surprise this book was and a awesome way to end the trilogy!

I waited too long to read the conclusion of this trilogy. I was afraid when I started it that I wouldn't remember enough of the plot for it to make sense. But I wasn't in the mood for a re-read of the series.

Once I started reading I felt like I remembered all the major plot points from the previous books. But I didn't like what this book did with them. It does make sense how and why the series wrapped up this way, but I didn't enjoy it. There were too many nice, neat little bows in the story and not enough growth in the characters. I felt like the characters went on a wild carnival ride and ended up right where they started.

A fabulous trilogy, kind of Indiana Jones adventure story with unlikely romance in it but in a good way:).

I love it though, and couldn't stop read them all until all finished.

I guess I need to read them again to understand more, well just in case I skip something! Hah:)

This book drove me crazy in the best of ways!!! I have had a love/hate relationship with King since book 1 and this book was no different. It's hard to tell what's the truth from the lies with him but this book brings it all together. I feel like this was the perfect ending for King and Mia and I loved the surprise behind Mack and his loyalty towards King.
