The Achievement Factory - Non-fiction Self Improvement Book Writer - Andrii Sedniev This book is good. Writer explained some techniques to become more successful in this book. It is packed with relevent stories and quotations from other successful people. There are some quotes I want to share from the book : • Happiness is the emotion of progresss towards a desirable goal • Sometimes you can hear from people who dont understand what happiness is: 'Be happy with what you already have.' This means : 'Don't ever be happy.' • Never suppress your dreams and desires • Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. • There are no people who get what they want by making excuses and blaming the others • Whether you think you can, or you think you can't - you are right • Having a plan B is dangerous, because if you have it you wont do 100% of what you can to implement your plan A • Most people overestimate what they can do in one year and underestimate what they can do in ten years. • Clarity of visualization * regularity of visualization = achieved goal • The law of attraction says, "You get what you think about most of the time" • What's measured improves • The poorest man in the world is the man without a dream. The most frustrated man in the world is the man with a dream that never becomes reality. The writer mainly discussed about 5 topics by which anyone can achieve anything if followed. The book also gives some tasks to fulfil to make yourself ready for chasing your dreams. This book also share some views which we all know. There are many statistical values in the book which are just numbers but not the actual picture. This is really a motivational book but expected more to be honest. Personal rating - 5.5/10 ★ 🙂 (I can recommend this book easily)
The achievement factory is an easy read. The author structures the book such that it is easy for the reader to digest the information.
Unlike other self-help books such as ‘Think and Grow Rich’, the book gets straight to the point, saying things as they are. I had read books that go on and on, with the author giving examples after examples. I tend to get bored and skip over those examples anyway.
But this book isn’t like that.
Right from the first chapter, the discussion of happiness really opened my eyes. Happiness isn’t difficult to achieve, all it requires is a simple change of mindset. Since young, we are told to set far-fetched goals, which is what most of our new year resolutions are made of. But those dreams are often so out of reach that after a month or two, sometimes after just a week, you will have forgotten about your dreams.
The author presents a different type of goal setting that I absolutely agree with. Set small, easily achievable goals that will guide you toward your ultimate goal. That helps to keep my focus and makes my ultimate goal seem so much more doable.
And throughout the book, the author gives helpful tips on how to apply the principles in the book.
This is a great book for anyone who’s looking for some motivation and advice on how to get started on your dreams!
Positive thoughts and actions equal a positive future
This is one of the most amazing self help books out there today. Filled with insightful ideas, plans and quotes, this book will guide anyone longing for change in their life to make it happen. If there is a will there is a way. The author wants you to achieve any goal you put into your mind. So go out and achieve your wildest dreams.
Edit: years and more reading later and this feels more and more generic, but at least it's short.
This is a short, easy to read, and energetic book that has some good exercises when I start to feel stuck without clear goals. I really like the exercise of writing down 100 dream (it starts to get pretty tricky after about halfway) just to get them onto paper.
Most of the concepts on goal generation and achievement can be found elsewhere, but the author does a great job putting them together into a short and inspiring read that is full of memorable quotes and actionable steps.
