I hate series that end, but don’t. And I hate series that pull the bait and switch. I almost gave up on this series after the first issue. I don’t like Deathstroke and this Slade-centric series was just meh, but the solicits for the second issue pushed Vandal Savage as the big bad. Vandal did show up in issue 2 but otherwise has not been in the rest of the series. And this wrapped up the story leaving Vandal as the big bad completely unresolved. I’m guessing there will be another series in the Dark Knights of Steel franchise, but with the exception of Rose Wilson being in this, this story was just dull and predictable.

As this is the final issue of the series, I'm counting it as a complete book read.

I overall really enjoyed this series. I was so excited about another Dark Knights of Steel arc because I really loved the original one. I wasn't disappointed by this sequel either. It was another fun read with different ways of seeing the characters while maintaining their personas. I just didn't like the ending of this one--everything got wrapped up so quickly after being a conflict for over 5 issues.

Overall, I strongly recommend this series and, like the original one, would be happy to reread this one day!

Great ending

Loved this whole series. It was a nice story with a fairy tale ending. Can't wait to see more from this universe.
