As a deadly winter descends, two strangers face a storm that could claim them both…
In the unforgiving winter of 1870s Montana, Edna has no choice but to flee with her son, escaping the deadly gang that killed her husband. She seeks shelter at the remote ranch of Joseph Harlow—a reclusive war veteran guarding his land from ruthless enemies.
As Christmas approaches, so do the blizzards — and the men determined to claim Harlow’s land by any means necessary. Edna and Joseph must hunker down against the cold and the deadly gang and forge an alliance strong enough to survive the winter. But in a land where betrayal is as common as snow, trust comes at a price—and survival may cost them everything they have left…
In this gripping tale of loss and love, inspired by C.J Petit’s and Zane Grey’s favorite tales, Samuel's quest for peace challenges the very essence of his spirit.

The "The Trail Boss" is a stand-alone Western Historical Adventure book, which is bound to captivate readers of the genre
Stay tuned for Zachary McCrae’s gritty tale on the trail inspired by the tales of Zane Grey and C.J. Petit!
A young rancher follows his dog to a hollow tree, where a young woman fleeing marauders hides with her toddler son trying to survive. This is the start of a local ranch war that involves multiple families in the Old West who must fight the encroachment of a criminal gang. Will Christmas bring the contentment that two lost souls need? I read this book through Kindle Unlimited on my Amazon HD 10 fire tablet.
I struggled a bit with the fighting and physical hurt these people dealt with was hard to learn about. Working together helped these people solve the problems and get rid of those who brought on the hurt.
The more that I read Zachary McCrae's Western tales, the more I enjoy them. He has a deft touch with characterization and plotting. This Christmas story has a happy ending, which is as it should be.
Refreshing to have a story line that helps everybody to enjoy a life after very bad experiences. All I am curious about is what about the teaching job?
A very good story, well told. The troubles are different, however it is amazing how interesting it is, that people still are faced with challenges and problems.
