It was a passion neither could forget—until he did.
Tia Hightower isn’t sure how she went from being a powerful witch to fake dating her ex at a winter house party.
For eight years, she has refused to speak Henry Pearlmatter's name unless it has been to curse it. Now, with their family businesses merged, she and her insufferable ex must pretend to be together to secure a wealthy warlock’s investment. Sharing a room—and a bed—with Henry is bad enough. Even worse is that Tia might have had a small potion mishap…and accidentally erased Henry’s memories of her.
Henry might not remember his ex, but it’s clear there’s still something between them. Whatever went wrong in the past, he intends to figure it out. Faking feelings for Tia isn’t exactly difficult, but one thing’s for starlight carnivals and mulled-wine kisses can't change history.
With the threat of Henry’s memories hovering over every stolen moment, their time together is running out. But a little bit of Christmas magic and the snow-melting heat between them have Tia wondering if it’s time to risk her heart once more, even if it's with the warlock who once broke it…
Toil and Trouble Book 1: The Witch is Back Book 2: De-Witched Book 3: Season of the Witch
Season of the Witch is the final book in the Toil & Trouble Series, and I loved it!
Tia and Henry are exes who are now working together after their family potion companies merged together. An investment opportunity has opened up, and Tia and Henry fake-date in order to impress the investor. They must go to England for a holiday getaway at the investor's property to compete with other hopeful witches to win the investment.
This was also a Christmas holiday romance, which are my favorites, so it was no chore to read this fun fantasy romantic comedy. Besides the fake-dating trope, there is also forced proximity and only one bed as well. The MMC Henry was the sweetest in his pursuit to try and win back his one true love, FMC, Tia. The spice was just right, and the romance was cute. I also really enjoyed the side characters in the story as well, which provide some great entertainment.
Overall, I found this to be a super enjoyable, medium paced read. And of course, I loved that the book is set during Christmas!
Expected Publication Date: September 2nd, 2025.
Thank you to NetGalley, Harlequin, and the author for the opportunity to read this ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This was a super cozy and fun witchy holiday book. I didn’t read or listen to the other books so to me this stood well on its own as a standalone. The narrator did really well with all the different voices and keeping readers/listeners engaged in to book.
Romcoms aren’t my typical read but this was actually really fun for me and a cute second chance romance. I love the witchy twist, it didn’t feel too cheesy like some holiday cozy romances can.
After this I want to read the other books to get more of Tia and Henry.
Thank you Harlequin Audio and NetGalley for the alc in exchange for my honest opinion.
Out September 2nd, 2025 If you’ve ever wished your romance came with a side of spellcraft, sass, and seriously swoony moments, Toil and Trouble is your next obsession. Sophie H. Morgan conjures a world where witches are powerful, passionate, and hilariously relatable—and the men who fall for them? Equally spellbound.
By the time you reach Season of the Witch (Book 3), you’re not just reading—you’re living in this universe. Each book builds on the last with whip-smart banter, spicy chemistry, and heartwarming friendships that feel like found family. Morgan’s writing is sharp, funny, and emotionally rich, with just enough magical mayhem to keep things deliciously unpredictable.
Think Practical Magic meets Bridgerton, with a dash of holiday sparkle and a cauldron full of charm.
Start with Book 1 (Hex Appeal) and prepare to binge. This series is a potion of joy, heat, and heart—and Season of the Witch proves it only gets better.
Thank you so much to NetGalley and Harlequin for this ARC!
(4.5 Stars) Thank you, @HTP_Hive @htpbooks @htpbooks_audio and @harlequinbooks for the #gifted digital and audio copies!
Henry Pearlmatter was once Tia Hightower’s boyfriend. But that was eight years ago, and Tia has been avoiding and despising him in equal measure ever since - an attitude made all the more challenging when her two best friends are involved with his two closest friends. But now the Pearlmatter and Hightower family businesses are merging, and suddenly Tia is stuck working alongside her ex, competing against him for leadership, and pretending to be his girlfriend during a holiday getaway to woo a wealthy potential investor. Oh, and there’s only one bed. What could possibly go wrong?
I adore all three books in this series! The quirky, magical world full of political maneuvering, magical hierarchies, and intrigue is balanced with deep friendships, swoon-worthy romances, and tons of humor. I’d been anxiously awaiting Henry and Tia’s story because you could just tell it was going to be fantastic - and it absolutely did not disappoint. Henry and Tia push all of each other’s buttons, but they also begin to begrudgingly understand what went wrong the first time around. I definitely recommend reading these in order - and we’re about to embark on spooky season, so please put these on your TBR!
🎧 Audiobook Thoughts: Natalie Duke is back to narrate book three, and she does just as wonderful a job here giving unique voices to a wide variety of characters as she did in the first two books. (12h 28m)
I love a good second chance romance!! This witchy holiday interracial love story features Henry and Tia, both from feuding families who have recently joined their companies in an effort to save both. Tasked with trying to garner new investors, the two have to pretend to be together while attending a week of festive activities at a grand country estate. The banter between the MCs was HOT and the way Henry tries to make up for the past (while not remembering what happened thanks to memory loss from a potion Tia gave him) was EVERYTHING!! Spicy, heartfelt and with good anxiety rep too. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital and audio copy in exchange for my honest review!
3.5 ⭐️ Celestia ‘Tia’ Hightower may have once been one half of a power couple with Henry Pearlmatter, but she has been avoiding and despising him in equal measure since their breakup eight years ago. Being haughty towards (and hot under the collar for) her ex has been extra exhausting ever since her two best friends started dating his two closest friends, but now they also have to navigate the forced proximity of a shared workplace. The merging of the Hightower and Pearlmatter businesses means Tia and Henry are not only constantly pushing each others’ buttons, but competing for leadership AND pretending to be back together for the sake of wooing a wealthy international investor. When said investor invites them on a holiday getaway to his estate in the English countryside for the month of December, these incendiary exes + amnesia + only one bed = a recipe that will either end in disaster or the second chance they have both secretly wanted.
Spoilers ahead… The end of this series was an entertaining read that gave me the witchy, wintry vibes I wanted. We get enough page-time from Emma and Leah to make friendship a central focus of the story, but one that doesn’t detract from the focus on the loathe-to-love romance. The depth of relationships really balance the pressure of workplace politics, family legacies, and magical hierarchies that weigh heavier.
When it comes to Henry, Tia is way more than a closed book… she is a locked vault surrounded by a crocodile- infested moat. There was a lot of animosity and immaturity that took the story down a star for me, especially for characters in their late twenties. The FMC and MMC sometimes interacted as if they were still the teenagers they were when they last dated. Tia does not want to let Henry in again, but his temporary memory loss allows her to let down her guard and share her memories with him, giving him the insights into what went wrong last time so he can fix it this time. I agreed with him keeping it a secret that his memories returned and would’ve found it romantic as compared to Tia, who was outraged.
They had strong chemistry, but it was more the kind that turns physical to avoid emotional intimacy. They definitely have the ‘are they going to kiss or kill each other?’ energy and that makes their second chance romance feel totally different from Emma and Bastian’s in book two. By the end they are both able to open up more, but Tia’s primary defense mechanism of abrasiveness before walking away and Henry letting history repeat itself was a little tiresome. She was sometimes extra bratty and I loved that her best friends called her out on this and sweetly told her that it gets in the way of the happy future she wants! All in all, their first love was their true love after all and it was good that they were able to overcome their own pride and challenge their parents’ expectations to come back to one another.
PS- Did it bother anyone else that Tia and Leah’s names rhyme? This was just a pet peeve of mine within this fictional trio of best friends.
Season of the Witch by Sophie H Morgan is the final book of her Toil and Trouble series! The series follows a trio of besties as they find love. SotW is about Tia, the prickly friend who is fiercely loyal and not afraid to fight.
This book was SO GOOD. I love Sophie’s writing as a rule and this book just scratched all of my itches. Amazing banter! A good enemies to lovers! Christmas overload! Magical shenanigans! An amazing twist near the end that I didn’t see coming! It can’t get any better than that for me!
Tia has long been the prickly friend of the trio and, in the past, I’ve often commented to Sophie that I felt she was too harsh or too worked up in the previous two books. I really enjoyed getting into Tia’s head and learning why she is the way she is. Tia is so complex and I definitely have a newfound appreciation for her. I’d love to have a friend as loyal and fierce as her in my corner. Henry spends most of the book without the major parts of his memory and it’s interesting to see how he evolves over time. His interest in Tia is genuine right from the start and watching how their relationship builds back up was a delight!
Oh and this book was suuuper spicy! Those two are definitely hot for each other!
I’d also like to thank Sophie for putting me in the acknowledgements in the back of this book. I’m so honoured by that 💖
I cannot recommend this book enough to people who love magic, second chance romance and Christmas explosions!
Thank you to Netgalley, Harlequin and especially Sophie for providing me with an eARC in exchange for my honest review! 💖
Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Audio for the opportunity to listen to an Advanced Listener’s Copy (ALC) in exchange for my honest opinion/review.
Tia and Henry are both in line to become owners of their portion of their families’ potion business. But they’re also exes…
When a potion erases Henry’s memory, he still gravitates toward Tia, but she can’t let go of the past. He wants to understand the situation and how they ended up where they are now. Will Tia finally let Henry in?
Season of the Witch is the third book in the Toil and Trouble series, but it works well as a standalone. I thought the narration was done well but it would have been much more interesting if there were two narrators – one for Tia and one for Henry. The overall story was cute, both witchy and wintery. It was a cute holiday read and definitely perfect for people who enjoy the following tropes:
✨Fake dating 🪄Force proximity ✨One bed 🪄Amnesia (by potion) ✨Second chance
I love this series and this one was a great conclusion (and very festive)! You have a second chance romance/enemies to lovers/fake dating story. I had a great time reading this one. The narrator did a wonderful job!
I received an arc from netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
I truly enjoyed this tale. Yes, it is holiday themed and a great portion of the plot revolves around the holiday but it didn't feel Hallmark Christmas movie cheesy. I liked the characters, especially the FMC's fierce girl friend group. The plot was predictable but it was by no means distracting. It was an all around good, and at points spicy, time. Definitely recommend.
Perfect for the holiday seasons coming, witches, second chances and the cutest sidekicks run amuck in SEASON OF THE WITCH. Tia, the FMC is sassy and takes NO crap from anyone, she is amazing.
Altogether a fun holiday book with lots of charm, I recommend to all my witchy lovin friends.
This was such a fun read! It was a light, festive, cozy romcom with a witch-twist. It follows Tia and Henry, who broke up 8 years ago but are now being forced into each other's company again because their families' businesses have merged. They need to secure funds from a wealthy investor, but at a party, a bet between them goes awry when Tia's potion makes Henry forget all about their feud and breakup. They have to pretend to be a couple when the investor invites them to his house for the holidays, much to Tia's frustration. Henry is charming and alluring, to Tia's chagrin, given that he has forgotten all of the reasons they broke up. He is determined to figure them out, but Tia isn't so willing to open her heart to him again. In the midst of all of the confused feelings, they've still got to act the part of the perfect couple if they want to make their parents happy and get the investment.
I had no trouble following along despite not having read the first two books in the series - everything we needed to know about prior dynamics was explained, which I appreciated!
I really enjoyed the banter between Tia and Henry; their romance, The pacing and build-up of the second-chance romance and story as a whole was great! The investment plotline underlying the romance of the book (including holiday events planned by Siddeley) was a great foundation to force the couple to interact, and we got to see how the romance built up and played out. Both of their characters were really well developed, and we got insight into both of their perspectives and motives! It was definitely intriguing to see how Henry evolved as he got more and more memories back.
I was pleasantly surprised with the depth of the messages in the book despite it being a light romcom-type book! There are twists at the end I didn't see coming, and I think that the story is simultaneously fun while also having meaningful themes about family, identity, vulnerability, and love.
There is lots of fun, banter, humor, and love to be found here! I would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys fun/light romance books. It would be a great read to get into the holiday season!
I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for the author's future books!
*Thank you NetGalley and Harlequin for the eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Thank you to Net Galley, Sophie Morgan and Harlequin Romance for an ARC of this outstanding book and the chance to read and review it early!
First, I can’t repeat enough times how much of a fan I am of this series and how highly anticipated this third book has been for me! So much so, I re read the first two before starting the third - each one I binge read in about a day. They are addictive and Morgan’s writing style is quirky, eloquent and glides with effortless ease. This is also true for her previous two books (The Witch is Back and De-Witched).
Onto this GEM of a book, this is everything you could want in a seasonal romance. It’s the perfect combination of witchy sprinkled with all the magic of the holidays. Tia Hightower is such a relatable character, being burned before and overcompensating for her distrust with a hardcore, bad b!tch attitude. There were moments where her attitude was borderline redundant near the end and her overly stubborn nature started to spoil her transformation but Morgan saved it just in time to keep me hooked and feel like this was just the genuine process of her character arc especially after a life altering plot twist for her character. That being said, I love a spicy FMC and Tia fit perfectly.
Henry Pearlmatter, mmmm, thank you to the book boyfriend gods for this character! I have never been so into an exes+enemies to lovers with a twist of amnesia SO intensely! This chemistry simmered to perfection. It sounds like a cliche combination but it was truly anything but. My hot take is Henry’s post amnesia character was 11/10, loved it and never stopped loving it - like he does with Tia! Ahhh! Swoon x 10000.
I also loved how Morgan was able to seamlessly tie in the previous characters into this third book where it feels like the last two books just melted into each other and the adventures never stopped. The previous characters continued their own character arc within this story, it felt like!
My big thing is PLEASE make Isabella a story! And we need big brother Kole to find love too! Just more, more of this world and more of these characters please!
For the audiobook specifically, I was SOO excited to get both the ebook and the audio book and listened and read at the same time and WHOA. It was a whole different experience. The voice actors MADE this story come to life. It was like watching a movie and they did a truly fantastic job. Could not recommend the audio enough.
Put this on your TBR to kick off your holiday romances and prepare for everything to dull in comparison to this book. Morgan is a 5 star read every time for me! If you love: - witches 🧙♀️ - holiday romance 🎄❤️ - a spicy, stubborn FMC 🔥 - exes who are enemies to lovers - second chance romance 🤍 -ONE BED! 🛏️ - dog and cat animal sidekicks 🐶🐱 ✨And so much more magic… This is definitely the book for you! ✨
Although I didn’t realize The Season of the Witch was the third book in the Toil and Trouble series when I started, it worked surprisingly well as a standalone.
The audiobook is told in dual third-person POV, though there’s only one narrator. She handled the voices well, but I think having two narrators for Tia and Henry would have made the story more dynamic and engaging.
As for the romance, I usually enjoy enemies-to-lovers, but the animosity and immaturity here felt a little too heavy for me, considering the age of the characters. I also struggled to connect with Tia’s character, which made it harder to fully invest in the relationship.
Overall, the book had its moments, but it didn’t quite live up to my expectations.
Thank you to @NetGalley and Harlequin Audio for the ALC! All thoughts and opinions are my own.
My Review: Season of the Witch by Sophie H. Morgan is book #3 in the Toil and Trouble series. It is a "spicy witch Christmas romance." This Harlequin Romance novel is scheduled for release on 9/2/25.
About the Book: "It was a passion neither could forget—until he did.
Tia might have had a small potion mishap…and accidentally erased Henry’s memories of her.
Henry might not remember his ex, but it’s clear there’s still something between them. Whatever went wrong in the past, he intends to figure it out.
... a little bit of Christmas magic and the snow-melting heat between them have Tia wondering if it’s time to risk her heart once more, even if it's with the warlock who once broke it… "
In My Own Words: A witch and a warlock with an intensely passionate and troubled past must work together to secure a deal. When they enter into a fake relationship, old sparks fly and unresolved feelings are faced head on.
About the Characters & Conflict: The Toil and Trouble series has the most amazing characters. I have enjoyed getting to know all of them. Tia and Henry are definitely two of my favorites. Their story was achingly sweet. I loved the spells, the light subterfuge, the spot of amnesia, the family tension (especially the unexpected announcement), the friendship circle, and the memory shower.
About the Audiobook: This novel was narrated by Natalie Duke. She had me from the beginning. I was completely engrossed the entire time.
My Final Say: This magical story won me over. I laughed. I cried. I celebrated. And now, I look forward to what comes next.
I adore this series! I cannot recommend it enough. I sincerely hope there will be more to come. There is so much room to grow.
Book 1: The Witch Is Back - > 5/5 Book 2: De-Witched - > 4.25/5 Book 3: Season of the Witch - > 5/5
Other: Readers who enjoy enchanting second chance romances, friends to enemies to lovers stories, and forced proximity scenarios will really like this book.
Appreciation is extended to the author, to the publisher (Harlequin Audio | Harlequin - Romance | Harlequin), and to NetGalley. Thank you so very much for granting access to this title in exchange for an honest critique. It was a pleasure reading/listening to this work. I look forward to continuing with this wonderful series.
4.5 Stars ⭐️ Tia and Henry use to date, but they broke up years earlier. Her family wants her to marry him, because their family companies merged. An investor wanted Tia and Henry to go to a house party in England after the investor caught them kissing. It is money that their company needs. The problem, Tia accidentally wiped Henry’s memories of her before the invite. They fake date while they are in England, which brings up the romantic feelings that both buried deep. I loved the holiday vibes with all of the magical witchy elements. The plot was fun, especially with Henry’s accidental amnesia! The romance was angsty, but Tia and Henry needed to learn how to communicate with each other! That was where all of the conflict came from, but it didn’t get annoying. The audiobook was a lot of fun! Between the snowy, chestnuts roasting vibes mixed with a well developed world, and Natalie Duke’s narration made for an entertaining listen!
Season of the Witch is the 3rd book in the Toil & Trouble series. Why you should read Tia and Henry’s story: 🎄Amnesia 🔮Witches/Warlocks 🎄Second Chance 🔮One Bed 🎄Holiday Vibes 🔮Fake Dating 🎄Contemporary English House Party 🔮It’s Always Been You Vibes
Thank you to Harlequin and Netgalley for an ALC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Season of the Witch is the third instalment in the Toil and Trouble series- about three friends who own a witch themed bar together! Two of them witches and one human, this story follow Tia Hightower!
Tia and Henry dated once and it ended up in flames and now after years of hatred, their parents have merged their companies and they are forced to work together to land a big investor. Insert delicious fake dating scheme, amnesia and good old fashioned holiday cheer! This was so much fun and very festive! There's something about romances set during the holidays that really emphasize the magic of Christmas, it's so wholesome.
The chemistry between Henry and Tia was off the charts and I always love seeing the other book characters in the series! One of my favourite things in these kinds of series'. Leah and Emma were great and I hope that our new friend perhaps is the next book??
To anyone building their December TBR or just need a good ole' second chance romance. Please I implore you, pick up this book.
I enjoyed the banter between the two MC’s. MissTia stubborn as can be… Henry equally cocky to her stubbornness!! I love how it was set up for these two to truly get to know one another in a Christmas I have no choice but to get know each other kinda way… the thing is they did… they are exe’s… but being young and knowing it all didn’t really work the first time around… because they didn’t give each other a true chance to….redemption is bliss!!
Natalie Duke brought Tia to life with great sass and stubbornness…however, for Henry…sometimes he sounded like an old man who just gave up…maybe intended that way… but overall I loved the characters and spunk!!
Overall I would recommend because it’s cozy and the 3rd in a cute series where friendship and love all play a role. The background descriptions were awesome. Just makes you want to curl up on your couch in your pjs with a nice mug of hot chocolate ☕️!!
I want to thank NetGalley, the publisher and Sophie H Morgan for the ARC of this book! This review is my honest opinion
I was very excited to receive this ARC as I had previously read the first two books in this series and really enjoyed the magical world and authors writing. The different familial lines in this world are really interesting to read about and I was happy to get a glimpse at two more families and of course Tia’s story. Tia and Henry were a lot of fun to read about with all their banter. And there’s nothing better than reading about two people falling in love all over again. I will say, I’m not a huge fan of the third act break up but I’m glad there was some growth for both characters through the turmoil.
I really enjoy this series and would say this is the best one yet!
Season of the Witch was such a delightful surprise. It’s one of those books that just wraps you up in a warm hug while still keeping you hooked from start to finish. The vibe is cute, cozy, and just the right amount of magical without ever feeling over the top.
Tia completely stole my heart—she’s funny, charming, and so easy to root for. I loved following her journey and seeing how she handled everything that came her way. The banter, the atmosphere, and the little details of the world made it such a comforting read.
If you’re looking for something lighthearted but still engaging, this is exactly the kind of book you want to curl up with on a rainy afternoon. It left me smiling and already wishing for more.
Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Audio for the ALC arc! 🫶🏻
Season of the Witch, the third book in Sarah Morgan’s Toil & Trouble series, is the kind of cozy winter romance that sneaks up on you like the smell of cinnamon and regret. Tia Hightower—sharp-tongued, spell-slinging, and deeply allergic to her ex—finds herself fake-dating said ex, Henry Pearlmatter, thanks to some ill-timed business mergers and an even worse memory-erasing potion. (Relatable. I mean who hasn't had a bad experience with a memory-erasing brew)
Morgan stirs up all the right ingredients: snow-dusted mansions, snarky banter, and magical sexual tension that could melt a Yule log. The pacing sometimes simmers rather than boils, but the emotional payoff—equal parts charm and second-chance ache—makes it worth the brew.
In short: a festive, witchy rom-com for anyone who likes their holiday love stories with a dash of mischief, a sprinkle of amnesia, and a cauldron full of chemistry.
The third book of the Toil & Trouble series, this is the story of Tia and Henry’s second chance romance. In my opinion, they are the best of the couples. Because of that, this was my favorite book in the series. I loved the satisfying character growth towards emotional maturity, and you can’t beat the cozy Christmas vibes. Because it’s also delightfully witchy, I would say the BEST time to read this one is when fall is turning to winter 🎄 ❄️ 🌙
Natalie Duke has been a great narrator for this whole series. Very clear and crisp and the perfect voice for the modern witch.
Sophie H. Morgan sprinkled full-on holiday magic in Season of the Witch, and I ate it up like Christmas cookies. I’ve loved this series from the very first book, but getting inside Tia’s head was chef’s kiss. She’s prickly, stubborn, and fiercely loyal. The kind of friend you’d want in your corner and the kind of heroine you can’t help rooting for. And Henry… wow. The “amnesia ex who never stopped loving her” trope hit me right in the heart. Their banter was electric. Their chemistry off the charts, and their slow-burn reunion absolute swoon. This book is cozy, spicy, witchy, and festive all at once, and if you’re building your holiday TBR, it deserves a spot at the very top. Loved it!
I think Sophie H. Morgan is doing an excellent job with this series and in creating this world. I'm really hoping for more from her with the new characters introduced in this particular installment. Overall, I thought that this book contained a well done second chance, hate to love, mixed with amnesia but not in an annoying way, paired with a really fantastic but slightly OTT personal storyline for Tia. Her personal storyline had me crying in the club (my car while listening to the audiobook). She truly did such a great job of Tia getting to fully realize that she is worth it and always has been.
Thanks to Netgalley/the publisher for the audiobook review copy!
Thank you so much at NetGalley for letting me have the ALC of this book.
This book is part of a series, but it can be read as standalone. I read this without knowing anything about the other books and perfectly understood the book. The story follows a potions company owned by 2 different families. Tia is the daughter from one family and she dates Henry, the son from the other family. They had a dated years ago and broke up.
When Henry loses all his memories of Tia, he decides he is going to try and have a clean slate with Tia and figure out why they broke up. Sprinkle in some Christmas magic and some angst and you have a cute little love story.
This book literally combined all my favorite tropes. Fake dating, second chance romance (I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - I’m a sucker for a second chance romance!), enemies to lovers, only one bed… what more could I ask for? Throw in some witchy and end of the year holiday vibes and I couldn’t be happier!
I thought Tia and Henry’s banter was great and the two of them were excellent together. Loved Henry - even if he is a blonde…. And Tia’s sass was perfection.
So excited to get Tia and Henry’s story after all the hints of their history in Emma and Leah’s books. It did not disappoint. Lots of lovely fizzy chemistry between Tia and Henry, both so stubborn and so alike and just caught up in their own fears. The premise and how it forced them to go back to the basics of who they were to each other was great. I liked getting more of a sense of Tia in this, she broke my heart in parts and was so relatable with her insecurities and need to put up walls to protect herself. I liked playful Henry unburdened by his memories and responsibilities breaking down those walls. Nice support from Emma and Leah and the surprise new friend (🤞🏾we will we get a book for her as well.) Really fun read. 4 stars⭐️
Thank you, NetGalley and Harlequin Audio for the ALC!
I should start by saying I did not read books 1 and 2 so that may change my feelings of this one if there was more backstory, but I really enjoyed this cozy romcom with a witch twist and holiday setting. Tia and Henry are exes and current enemies. A potion bet goes wrong and Henry experiences amnesia (his memories of her are gone). When the two need to pretend to be a happy couple for their families, Henry is trying to win her back while Tia is trying to stay firm. Perfect book for fall/winter if you're into Witches/Warlocks and some witty banter (and spice). Super cute! Definitely makes me want to check out the others.
What a cute mix of cozy, spooky and holiday romance Season of the witch was. It was such a fun time to listen to this audio book narrated by Natalie Duke. It has several of my favorite tropes and was bound to be a good time. A witchy holiday romance I was so there for it. Loved how Henry and Tia try to learn from their mistakes in the end and try to overcome the miscommunication they have been dealing with.
