Nice & simple information

I liked how well the book was explained and put out. It got straight to the point, and the language was simple to understand without having to reread or make it complicated to comprehend. This would be perfect for young adults to read. That's how simple it was, yet packed with so much information that is helpful.

My reason for my rating was that although I understood the concept, there were a ridiculous amount of typos and sentence errors. There was one end of a sentence, but not the beginning of it. It's like it got chopped off. On those typos, I did have to go back and reread some sentences that didn't make sense and figured out what the right words were to continue.

Other than that issue, it was a good simple read.

This book is very helpful in understanding why we overthink things. I related well to some examples given in the book, which makes me feel not so alone in this issue. Reading about the science behind it is very interesting. Mind exercises explained in the book make sense, especially the concept of gratitude. I plan on trying a few suggestions to try to turn my anxious brain off when I try to go to sleep at night. I recommend this book to anyone that questions why they overthink of why you can't turn the brain off when trying to go to sleep.

Ian Tuhovsky writes about how the overthinking mind works, how it affects your productivity and methods to curb overthinking. There are things you can control and things you cannot. He writes about meta thoughts - worrying about what you were thinking.

I some of his tips such as the trick of five very helpful.
