Read like a debut work

It's the first time I see this author's name, so based on the simple, amateurish writing and fairytale-y dark-ish plot, I just assumed it was a debut novella.

I actually finished this thinking I was glad to find a new author with potentially lots of future breeding kink books.

I was wrong. Though (as far as I saw) they've only been writing for two years, their GR author page says they have (at the time of this review) 123 distinct works. If this is the culmination of 123 novellas, I'm not impressed.

I'm going with the rating I felt at the time I finished the book, but I don't feel too excited about trying this author again.

This was a cute, spicy read but it borderlined on average for me. 🫠

No me gustó, la idea no estaba nada mal pero cumplir esa fantasía con un completo desconocido? UN GRAN NOO.

Nuestra protagonista tenía la fantasía de ser perseguida por un hombre y ser tomada por él. Que el estuviera obsesionado con ella y que supiera exactamente lo que ella quería.

Cosa que se le cumple, pero con prácticamente un completo desconocido con el cual había hablado tan solo UNA vez y que además le lleva unos 12 años? No me acuerdo pero si había diferencia de edad.

Prácticamente fue leer una violacixn que fue romantizada.

I love NCN, dark romance, stalking, chase through the woods with a mask but the age gap in this book is gross and unnecessary. The writing is also subpar re the side plot with a serial killer. Also, the smutty portions were not focused on female pleasure which beats the purpose of me reading the book.

Penelope is a V💳 but has fre@ky fantasies. Her and her bff Anna get lost in the woods and end up on Hawk’s land. He hears them talking about their fantasies. Instantly Hawk is obsessed and plots to give Penelope her perfect fantasy… FOR HER FIRST TIME!!!
Anna tries to set up Penelope with one of Todd’s friends, Mack. He instantly creeps Penelope out and he walks away.
2 months later, on Penelope’s day off, she goes hiking and that’s when Hawk strikes. In a mask, chasing her in the woods. She is frightened but loves it.
Later, they are in a bar with Anna and her bf Todd. Mack is there and keeps staring at Penelope. Hawk confronts him but the police show up and arrest Hawk for being a multiple deleter.
Hawk has alibis and is released. He goes over to Todd’s to get Penelope, who never believed it was him, and Mack is there trying to pin it on Hawk. Clearly Mack is the deleter.
Hawk takes a pew pew for Penelope.
Four years later, the enact a home invasion fantasy. They have 2 kids and 1 on the way.

This is a deliciously steamy OTT age-gap, alpha-male, innocent heroine, insta-love, obsession, stalker romance between Hawk and Penelope. Hawk sees Penelope and he instantly knows that she's the one for him so he starts stalking her learning everything about her. When Hawk overhears Penelope's fantasy he plans to make sure that it comes true for her however a killer has other ideas. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this deliciously steamy OTT age-gap,alpha, innocent heroine, insta-love, obsession, stalker romance to see what happens. I would recommend reading this book.

Stalking His Prey is a story that had a darker nugget that I did find unsettling, and it is not the stalking aspect. Penelope is a virgin who has certain darker fantasies. When she and her best friend are hiking and become lost they end up talking about a few of these. What they do not know is that Hawk, who owns the land they have wandered onto, is overhearing them. He becomes obsessed with Penelope and is ready to make her fantasies come true. Let's just say that in the live world it would be called something very different. While I thought the story was provoking it had a premise that made my stomach flip more than a few times.

Si te gusta el dark romance, con un prota obsesionado con ella entonces este libro es para ti. Aqui básicamente tenemos a Penelope, una chica virgen que tiene cierta fantasía de ser perseguida por un hombre en enmarcado por el bosque. Y Hawk que es básicamente su stalker y sin que ella lo sepa trama un plan para darle exactamente lo que ella quiere. Si digo más te cuento todo el libro así que hasta ahí el resumen.
Debo decir que me gustó mucho y la verdad para pasar el rato el libro este bien. El final sinceramente no me lo esperaba. Eso de que su amiga le organiza una cita con un asesino serial sin que ella se de cuenta😳. Lo bueno que rechazó la cita y ya ahi aparece el prota🖤

This story sucked me into the mind of Hawk while he was observing and planning their adventure. Penelope was the kind of girl who generally kept to herself aside from Anna. She wasn't completely comfortable with herself though, and questioned some of her desires. Hawk would be good for her in that respect, if everything worked according to his plan.

I enjoyed how Rose involved the reader in the story, yet kept them in the dark about critical aspects as well. We weren't the only ones blindsided! There's one twist you definately won't see coming.

No esto su estuvo con unos niveles altos de cringe jajaja, al principio dije mmm hot acosador y así, pero la verdad algunos diálogos si dije que es estooo. El spice padre la verdad y pues es que wey, que puedo decir, no le voy a pedir una gran trama a este libro. Lo del asesino de no se que sierra se me hizo una jalada jajaj, siento que al estar tan cortito no permitía algo así el libro, pero al final la escritora dijo me vale voy a meter mil cosas al final y no cerrar ninguna. Y cero le voy a exigir, la calif es más por el cringey de la historia jiji, aunque hottie el que la haya perseguido la verdad, muy innovador todo.

Penelope ends up going hiking alone when her best friend can't make it and she needs to unwind from her hectic life, not knowing she's being followed and has been for the last few months by Hawk. His obsession only grew since he first set eyes on her, and now the perfect chance to take and be who she needs is here and he won't let her slip out of his grasp. Well written fast paced, suspense, steamy hot scenes, age gap, stalker and more!.

Oof. I should’ve DNF.

The writing is bad, very insta-lovey (and not tastefully done either), and just overall a waste of my time.

Everybody in this book is not very good to/for Penelope and nobody bats an eye at that.

The fact that she lost her virginity in a CNC act that was pretty much NC was awful, not only that… her decision of letting him creampie her was taken away as she could not speak to consent to it. What if she didn’t want kids and he just ruined that for her? Yeah… absolutely not.

I like CNC, but this is just not it.

I can’t stop cringing.

This was an exciting read that brings together Penelope and Hawk. He's rather obsessed with her and follows her, getting to know what she needs. When she's off for a hike, he seizes his opportunity to make sure she wants him as badly as he does her ;P Expect to get caught up in the drama, suspense and steam as he kidnaps her to get them their HEA in this fast paced read. Definitely an OTT read and very entertaining ;D

It a quick exhilarating read

This book features a young woman named Penelope who is a virgin. Her BFF Anna is trying to help Penelope by setting her up with a friend of Anna’s boyfriend. Penelope is like no way. Unbeknownst to Penelope there is a man named Hawk who has every intention of giving her the fantasy, of her dreams. This is an unusual story about getting together, be open minded. Read On.

Came here exactly for the smut, which I did get and it was hot, but I wasn’t expecting the mini plot. The story and characters were just okay for me, though. Basically, the MMC fulfilled the FMC’s sexual fantasies after two months of stalking and obsessing over her, and the FMC fell in love with him and confessed to him and tada HEA. It was ridiculous, but definitely entertaining as both MCs match each other’s freaks. So, 3.5 stars!

This was one of those cases where impulse got the better of me while browsing Kindle Unlimited, and it did not pay off. I realize that this was a novella, but there was no explanation at all as to why Hawk was so into Penelope. The writing was cringy, the age difference wasn't done well, and I do not understand how Penelope could just decide she loved Hawke because he gave her the fantasy she'd always wanted. It delivers on the short and over-the-top premise, but I've seen this done better.
