I’m Mili, the faery healer of Ethelinda. Wild but naive, stubborn yet good-hearted. Life is good. But isn’t it a universal truth that just when things are going well, someone always notices... and tries to tear it down? So when my world is in danger, I seek the aid of my unlikely ally—the dragon shifter in the volcano next door, who, lucky for me, comes with a ready-made pack of hot dragon muscle.
Cory is the take-charge type and annoyingly right most of the time. Strong, reliable, and just controlling enough to make me want to listen. Let’s face it— with that confident alpha smirk and smolder? I’m practically hypnotized.
Max is like fire with attitude. Rebellious, cynical and rough around the edges. He’s got this whole ‘I’m trouble, stay back’ vibe, which, of course, only makes me want to get closer. Honestly, my inner healer is practically rolling up her sleeves.
Port is the quiet before the storm—sweet, introverted, and so effortlessly mysterious that it should be illegal. He’s the reluctant hero type who’d rather be left alone, but somehow, I can’t stay away.
Trying to resist the hot pack of dragon shifters while saving Ethelinda isn’t my only challenge. Things get complicated when two of my ex-lovers re-enter the scene. But hey, who hasn’t made a few... memorable mistakes in the romance department, right?
Don’t Fae With Dragons is a paranormal why choose/reverse harem romance, high-steam with one strong but sweet faery and a pack of alpha dragon shifters led by a possessive leader. Romance is already a fairy-tale unto itself, that’s why the best romances actually have faeries in them (fairy-tales... faeries... duh!). So, happily ever after is guaranteed, but only for some.
If you like fated mates, enemies to lovers, opposites-attract, multiple POV, and a variety of guys who are unhinged for their girl, this book is for you. For a full list of tropes, tags, and CWs, see the author’s website.
Fantastic book! Light and funny, fresh and oh my, oh so spicy. Loved it so much! I also appreciated it that it's super hot and heavy without the ultra dark stuff. This is a happily ever after, FYI for all those looking for something without a cliff hanger at the end (sigh enough of those please, let us enjoy a story for what it is!)
Mili is such a chaotic hot mess pulling in different directions until she finds her mates who happen to be a pack of dragon shifters (hot ones of course). Cory is my favorite but throw some Max and some Port in the mix and we have the perfect playtime. Warning for readers: this is a why choose polyamory romance for adults. If you like fae smut, this is definitely for you!
The chemistry between Mili and her dragon pack delivers exactly what the why-choose genre promises. Each dragon shifter brings distinct personality and energy: Cory's commanding alpha presence, Max's rebellious fire, and Port's mysterious quiet intensity create compelling dynamics that never feel repetitive. Mili's voice as a strong but sweet faery healer grounds the story with humor and heart, making her journey from naive to empowered feel authentic despite the fantasy setting.
The fated mates and enemies-to-lovers elements blend naturally with the high-stakes plot of saving Ethelinda. The multiple POVs add depth to relationships and show how each character processes their connection to Mili. The steam level lives up to the billing without overwhelming the actual story progression. The complications from ex-lovers entering the scene add drama without feeling contrived. For readers who love polyamory romance with possessive alphas, supernatural world-building, and guaranteed happily ever after, this delivers entertaining paranormal escapism with well-developed pack dynamics and plenty of heat.
This book was entertaining with a lot of elements to keep you turning the pages. The fantasy world was intense. Then you mix in each of the characters stories you get an endless variety of passion, adventure and entertainment. Hope you enjoy Don’t Fae with the Dragons
DNF - quit at 10% This was so confusing, I felt I missed a book or something, making it hard to get into.
At my age (63), life is way to short & my time is to important to force myself to read a book I'm not enjoying, especially when there are so many other books out there waiting to be read.
Dnf at 15%. The descriptions felt a bit clinical and the ease that fae normally have about sexuality seemed very forced. I will definitely come back to it another time because I feel that it could have good plot points and world building.
I LOVED this book. It’s a quick and easy read, but damn did I fall in love with the characters. I hope there is a next instalment. I need to see Max and Port’s relationship flourish, and watch Mili face new challenges. A fun read.
