Believable age gap romance. Plenty of heat. Engaging plot. He falls first. She is overly nervous but strong.

Why isn’t this book famous?
It’s baffling that no one is talking about this gem! David is an absolute hero—charismatic, brave, and utterly swoon-worthy. Honestly, he’s my dream protagonist.
I loved every moment of this book. While the romance leaned a bit toward insta-love for my taste, it didn’t bother me much because, let’s face it, we’re talking about David! Falling for him at first sight feels completely understandable.
The heroine, on the other hand, was a little extra at times. Her reactions could feel over the top, and she occasionally made me roll my eyes. But when you take a step back and think about what she’s been through, it’s impossible not to sympathize with her. The challenges she faced weren’t easy, and her resilience in overcoming them made her feel raw and real. You end up rooting for her despite her flaws, which only adds depth to the story.
The author’s writing was engaging, and the storyline kept me hooked from start to finish. There were a couple of moments of unnecessary drama, but they didn’t detract much from my overall enjoyment. This book was the highlight of my week, and I’m already planning to dive into the rest of the series. I can’t wait to meet the other characters and see how their stories unfold!
Highly recommended for anyone looking for an exciting, romantic read.

My Forbidden Boss is the first book of this series and can be read as a standalone. This is an employee/boss love story with a large age gap. David is a self-made billionaire (43), and Adeline is his PA (21). She is blackmailed by her sperm donor of a father to get information about Blue Sky or she and her disabled mother will be homeless. As much as she likes David, she has to do this because she will end up with nothing if she doesn't.... which just might happen to her anyway.
This story takes us on a rollercoaster ride of deception and secrets. She and David are drawn to each other despite their age gap. He suspects she is hiding something, but as he peels away her layers he assumes it is because of her self-esteem. Adeline has come from nothing and has been made to feel that way her entire life. When David starts to make her feel important and valued she wants to accept it so she takes what she can and then denies herself the opportunity to accept it long term. People like her don't get to have happiness and forever and she just won't accept what he is giving her.
David is a really nice guy, but it was hard to believe a smart, self-made billionaire would fall so fast for an innocent young woman he knows nothing about. He was so enamored by her that he ignored his gut. The blackmailing just went on way to long for my liking. It took away from their love story a little bit for me because I was constantly waiting for the ball to drop. I liked both characters and enjoyed the overall storyline, it just took too long to get to the honesty on her part. He deserved better from her.
This story has a good concept, good characters, deception, intrigue, sexy time and thankfully a happy ending. I wish we got a little more of their relationship once the honesty came out at the end. I wanted more time to enjoy it. ⭐⭐⭐

This book isn’t that well written. It reads like a high school composition. But it is interesting!! And the story itself is very good!
David hires Adeline as his new PA. She has a big secret that threatens to destroy their new love relationship.
Adeline is more than a bit depressing! How David could fall in love is a mystery! David is more than a bit obsessed with her!
Too much inner dialogue and not enough person to person.
Has a few reminders of Gabriel’s Inferno!
Could be a really great book!

WOW !! This book was a roller coaster of emotion, a tear jerker , wow..soo many feels, such heart wrenching reality .... this world we live in is not a good place, and though this book is total based on fiction, we know all too well that a lot of what David and Adeline went through are all too possible in our real world . I really loved this story and look forward to Book 2 in the series.

I liked the plot and how the twist of sending someone to corrupt his business just to fall in love.
Age gaps and forbidden romance in the book kept me reading.

De veras que David Chandler está en top 3 de "best boyfriends ever". Pensé que iba a ser el típico alphahole, cruel y cero empático. Pero no, de los mejores protagonistas que me he topado en este género de libros.
